Monsters Inc.: Sully and Mike recognize the personhood of an persecuted outgroup, reject a worldview shaped by racist propaganda, and expose the explicitly textually evil capitalist system that profits from it
Monsters University: Years before their deprogramming, our heroes' training to perpetrate racial violence for that evil capitalist system sure led to some WACKY HIJINKS

I don't care how "actually good" Monsters University is, it still has Sulley act like a jock asshole through most of the movie and I hate seeing my fave Monsters Inc. character like that.
Also, I'm way too damn European for an entire movie about literally every single American college cliche imaginable.
(Respect to the ending though, that was genuinely good.)

Monstrous Movie Night (2019)
What I always loved most about Halloween, the monsters have always been, although on the one hand I remember that from a very young age several nights I had the same dream of a monster that was hiding behind my bathroom, for some strange reason I always had a great hobby to the monstrous characters, whether it is based on a generic film or something more original. Much of my childhood was cartoons with monster thematics, which were Courage the cowardly dog, aaaah! Real monsters!, Scooby-Doo, goosegumps, Digimon, and many times in other franchises the greatest pleasure are the monsters, I remember that when I used to see Pokemon, ghost-type pokemon were always my favorites, although there were only three at first. Also, much of that monsters' taste was for the first movies I saw that are seen on this, where they had monster themes or with a monster character.
That is why, when it comes to Halloween or terror, more than slashers or creepypastas, I always preferred old-school monsters, vampires, ghosts, werewolves, frankenstein's monster, skeletons, etc., that is why I always preferred more nonhuman characters, even more than animal characters or dinosaurs. When Halloween arrives I always love these beings, I even consider the Day of the Dead as a second Halloween. So much so that I never miss an animated movie with horror themed or monsters, it doesn't even have to be the whole movie with intact horror themed or most characters are monsters, they can also be a single monster, like a dragon pet, a grumpy ogre, a giant singing flea, a curious yeti or a pet alien.
