Monza GP 2023 Reflection
Yuki not starting made me think that this race would be on some bs. But it was pretty tame. Still hate that he didn't even get to race because he might have been able to challenge for points
I was very surprised to see Carlos lead the race for like 14 laps. He lasted a lot longer in the lead with DRS enabled than I thought
Checo kept going off the track when he was fighting Carlos and George. Idk what bro was cooking, but he kept blaming everyone but himself even though he was the common denominator in all of these incidents
Unfortunately, I have to acknowledge that Lewis ruined Oscar's race. He's not perfect, and I'm glad he took accountability. With that being said I am relieved that Lewis was able to create enough of a gap to Alex so that the 5 second penalty didn't effect him
Charles and Carlos racing hard at the last couple of laps had me nervous because they nearly had contact, and they locked up. Ferrari letting them race was fine but omg??? I cannot imagine the fallout that would have happened if they took each other out
Esteban has DNF'ed like 4 times now? What are they doing over that at Alpine
Fernando did not do much this race. Forgot that he even existed for most of this race
If you told me at the beginning of the season that Alex would have 21 points and we aren't even at the end, I wouldn't have believed you. I'm gagged that Williams are consistently in the points (granted it's only been 2 races in a row but it counts)
Overall, a pretty solid race. Next stop is Singapore. Last year's Singapore GP was a disaster for literally everyone but Checo, and it would be funny if something similar happened this year. But I honestly doubt it

Charles is incredibly fast AND incredibly consistent
1) Bahrain- Won from Pole
2) Saudi Arabia- Ferrari was the second fastest car, Charles came 2nd
3) Australia- Grand Slam
4) Imola- Ferrari was the second fastest car, LEC was running 3rd when he had a small spin near the end and finished 6th, his first fault.
5) Miami- Ferrari was the second fastest car, charles got pole because max made a mistake in his q3 lap and because he overperformed his car. Charles finished 2nd.
6) Spain- Charles was on course to have his second grand slam of the season when the engine blew up.
7) Monaco- Charles drove a flawless race, was leading by a good margin in the race until ofcourse Ferrari made that strategy call. Alex also held him up by not getting out of the way even after NINETEEN blue flags. He finished 4th.
8) Azerbaijan- Ferrari was the second fastest car, he got pole only because he overperformed the car and got an advantage of half a second in the driver focused region of the track. He was leading, had the winning strategy (especially with how the safety car played out) but his engine blew up.
9) Canada- He took an engine penalty, had a shit pit stop, got stuck in a DRS train and still finished 5th
10) Silverstone- Drove a flawless race, was faster than his teammate even with older hards with a broken front wing. Was on course to win and gain a lot of points on max until Ferrari fucked up with the strategy call. (Also, his overtake on copse, which despite being the best overtake of the season wasn't given enough attention because skysport comms do not know how to hype up anyone who isn't british or max)
11) Austria- Won. Drove a flawless race and still kept up the gap somehow, even with a broken throttle pedal for 10 laps.
12) France- his second and last fault of the season, in a car that was had an incredibly unstable set up.
13) Hungary- would have won it if ferrari hadn't pitted him on hards. this is despite him asking for softs (and despite carlos asking for hards who was pitted on softs. so much for your "he can't make strategic calls" agenda)
14) Belgium- Had an engine penalty but a tear off got stuck in his air duct. (Which also caused the pit limiter sensor to overheat and make him speed by 1km in the pits, not his fault)
15) Netherlands- Finished 3rd, had shitty luck with the VSC
16) Monza- Had the second fastest car, got pole from his sheer brilliance and overperforming the car. Finished 2nd. (Never got the chance to fight as there wasn't a safety car restart)
17) Singapore- Started from pole but there was standing water ahead of him, which caused not only him to lose position to perez but also those who started on his side of track including lewis and alonso, lost positions. Literally could not have done anything, he drove perfectly and then ofcourse perez only got a 5 sec penalty despite him falling behind the safety car THRICE.
18) Japan- The tyre eating f1-75 had levelled up and eaten her tyres within the first 3 laps. despite this, he still held on somehow on tyres that resembled slicks and kept fighting perez till the last lap. finished 2nd but was demoted to 3rd, a decision made very quickly unlike the previous gp.
19) COTA- had an engine penalty, drove a flawless race, had great moments including that overtake on perez.
20) Mexico- enough said, the pace was there in the car. could not have done anything.
21) Brazil- Ferrari strategy screwed him over in the quali, leading him to being unable to put a lap time on the board. In the race, finished 4th despite Norris taking him out and leaving him to climb up the grid almost two times from last. Had a brilliant race.
22) Abu Dhabi- literally THE perfect execution, did not have a single misstep or a single lock up, was on the one stop strategy and just showed how underrated and good his tyre management skills are.
If you think that he is inconsistent or whatever, please get some braincells. If he was not your top 2 driver, you do not know what the fuck you're talking about.

Charles Leclerc: Il Predestinato
Tumblr media

I think Charles did whatever he could in this race. He went from 8th to 4th and made that 1 stop strategy work (which by the way was his idea). I just wish he would be more assertive with the team.
They told him not to defend against Carlos, which obviously Carlos would overtake him either way considering the circumstances, but Charles could give home some hard time and it would be more entertaining to watch.
I'm still bitter about Australia though because he should go full multi 21 and not listen to the team when they told him to hold position and not fight Carlos. tt would be even funnier if they would taken eachother out because that would mean Lando's first win and Oscar on podium in his home race 😅
Yeah I agree with this, Charles did the best he could out of the situation and P8 to P4 is a good result. I don’t think Ferrari necessarily made a catastrophic strategy call but they made a bad call during free practice that he didn’t call them out on until afterwards and that could have impacted qualifying.
I think there’s been numerous times where Charles has tried to trust the team and it hasn’t worked for him, whereas Carlos will go what he thinks is best regardless. Might not make you more popular in the team but when it comes down to it as a driver the person you have to trust most is yourself. I don’t think either Ferrari driver has the synergy with the team that Max has with RB/GP for example.
I don’t think Charles is a Multi21 kind of driver. Regardless of what his reputation has been since karting/junior series, I don’t see that in him. That’s why I think under no circumstances should he ever go to Red Bull.
Monza last year was an anomaly.

🏎️💨 THE FORMULA 1 TAG GAME! 🏎️💨
thanks for the tag @vinvantae & thank you to @avida-heidia-5 for making it!
tagging (ignore it if you already did it): @vetteltea @ricc3rodeo @silverstonesainz @strawberrysainz @ofsaintandsinner @monzabee @lxclerc @a-distantdreamer @schuvries @thebearchives @formulaforza
1. who or what got you into F1?
first it was my dad who used to watch it when i was around 7-9, but then he stopped and i did too, i only followed a few ppl on social media to kinda keep up, and then my cousin started watching DTS two years ago and she talked about it to me and it made me wanna watch f1 again and my obsession came back even stronger.
2. who was the very first F1 driver you supported? do you support them now? have your opinions on them differed or stayed the same since then?
as a kid i supported sebastian and jenson, and tbh they are still amongst my top favourites. when i started watching f1 again two years ago, i first supported george and charles. charles is still one of my all time favourites, and i still support george just i guess not as much as back then.
3. who’s your current favourite F1 driver?
i can't choose just one, really. right now it's charles, oscar and danny, i think. why does it actually feel a bit wrong to only say three lol
rest under the cut!
4. is there a driver pairing or pairings you support? what made you attracted to that pairing in the first place?
multiple. i love max & daniel, charles & carlos (even their name combined is chaos, what can it be if not fun?), also carlos & lando. i think these pairings work(ed) really well in many aspects. oh and kimi & seb!
5. do your parents, siblings or relatives have a favourite team and/or favourite driver(s)?
well, my dad's been a jenson fan back in the day, now he's supporting lewis and fernando. my cousin is a big ferrari and charles fan!
6. do you have any favourite races? are there any that stand out to you the most?
singapore 23, and also monza 19, monza 20, monza 21. you just gotta love those. and australia 23 bc it was pure chaos lmao
7. do you have a favourite circuit? can be from the past or from the current calendar.
tbh i don't think i have just one fave. i have several that i like a bit more than others, like monaco, monza, baku, but i guess none exceptionally.
8. have you ever been to an F1 race in real life? feel free to tell us your experience going to one if you like.
nope, never. too broke for that sadly, coming from a broke ass country... i will hopefully attend the hungarian gp though as a volunteer this year!
9. have you ever met an F1 driver in real life?
again, never. (heartbreaking.) hopefully that will change at the prev mentioned hungarian gp this year!
10. do you have a favourite F1 car? if so, what is it?
again, i don't have a favourite, but there are many i like. for example, i liked the red bull fan designed livery in miami 23, and the red and white ferrari livery in las vegas 23.
11. do you have a favourite one win wonder?
pierre and george (and kubica lol gotta love the guy). i literally cried my eyes out when george won in 2022.
12. do you have any favourite quotes from the F1 world? this can either be inspirational or hilarious.
i have so many, serious and funny ones too (mainly funny though). but, if i have to choose, for funny i have to go with "nothing just an inchident on the race" or "what am i now? heavily depressed", and for serious, i will go with my top 3, which are "being second is to be the first of the ones who lose" & "to achieve anything, you must be prepared to dabble on the boundary of disaster" & "you must always strive to be the best, but you must never believe that you are."
but i also gotta mention "one week they love me, one week they hate me, both weeks i get paid" and "i've got balls but none of them are crystal" bc seb is just too funny and i love the guy too much.
and another worthy mention is "he won in spa, he wins in monza" bc i always get goosebumps when i hear it or even think about it.

10, 21 🏎
hi anna!! thanks so much for asking <3333
10. do you have a controversial f1 take?
DEFINITELY. i have far too much of a hater soul not to 🤭 now, i've already answered this one here, actually, but i'm more than happy to give you another!
*clears throat* carlos sainz jr is a glorified pay driver, and everyone likes to forget that just because he has reasonably nice hair.
21. what is your favourite f1-related quote?
OOOOHHH!! oh, gosh, i don't think i can choose just one... "he won in spa, HE WINS IN MONZA!!!" will always make me grin like an idiot, and probably also type out about five hundred red hearts 🤭❤️ but i am also very fond of ayrton senna's legendary quote, "if you no longer go for a gap that exists, then you are no longer a racing driver." that one is just absolutely iconic imo.
ahhhhh but then there's also the magical commentary on the final stretches of the monza GP 2020... sentimentally, one of my favourite moments is when charles goes to hug pierre post-race, and crofty's voice softens a little and he goes "now isn't that nice." yes, crofty. it is nice 🥹
i'm going to conclude by linking you to this fabulous post by @sedicii, compiling some of the best quotes from charles about ferrari - because THESE. these just get me right in the heart. especially that one where he goes "if being in a cage means being in ferrari, then i'd like to be in a cage for my entire life..." GOD. just. god. yeah

vro0m's rewatch - 181/332
2016 Italian GP
Alright this is round 14, and we are in Monza.
Big announcement that weekend : Jenson is taking a sabbatical in 2017. McLaren was eager to establish that he wasn't retiring or leaving, he has a 2 year contract with them and he'll play an "ambassador" role. Oh and apparently we already knew that but Massa is retiring as well.
Lewis is on pole half a second ahead of Nico. Behind them it's Seb and Raikkonen, Valtteri, Ricciardo, Verstappen, Perez, Hulkenberg and Gutierrez.
In an interview, a journalist talks to Daniel about Max and especially his behaviour in the last race. She mentions that he's talked about quite a bit in driver meetings but holds his own easily. Daniel says because Max has grown with the sport through his dad in particular, he's not too intimidated by the lifestyle and by everything that goes with Formula 1. That echoes what I talked about at the end of the 2015 season reviews about comparing Lewis and Max's debuts, and the advantage Max had with knowing internal politics and the codes etc.
Oh I can see Angela around Lewis' car again!
There was a moment of silence before the anthem but I don't know why, I'll check later. (It was for the victim of the 2016 Central Italy earthquake)
And just like that we're ready for the race.
Formation lap.
And they're racing!
Oyyy terrible start for Lewis! Nico takes the lead followed by Seb and Raikkonen, Valtteri and Ricciardo. Lewis is only P6. What the fuck happened. He's battling Ricciardo for P5, and gets it. On a replay we see Palmer and Nasr collided. Lewis is half a second behind Bottas. Nothing in the replays really explains what happened with his start. He's just slow. He's a second behind Valtteri now, and we hear Bono explaining to him the three cars ahead of him are on supersofts, so they'll be fast for a few laps. He's on softs himself, so he's waiting. That might explain some of why they got a better start. Raikkonen is asked to cool the engine already. Lewis is attacking Valtteri. Palmer retires. Lewis is warned he should keep his tyres in good shape for strategy. He's still attacking Valtteri though. Nasr gets a 10 second time penalty for the collision with Palmer.
Lap 10, but we're not seeing the timings because we're watching Lewis hunt Valtteri, who's defending very well. Nico is far ahead of the Ferraris already. Lewis is getting there and he overtakes Valtteri in the pitlane straight! P4. Still no news of the standings lol. Oh here we go. So Nico, Seb +5.3, Raikkonen +2.8, Lewis +3.5, Valtteri +0.9, Ricciardo +1.5, Perez +2.4, Massa +3.6, Verstappen +1.7, Alonso +1.4. Lewis says his rear is pretty bad already and I mean yeah no shit they told you to look after them man. He's losing time over Nico. Valtteri pits as do Max and Alonso. Bono tells Lewis to pick up the pace as much as he can for three laps. Valtteri overtakes both Jenson and Sainz after his stop and is back in the points. Beautiful. Raikkonen pits, Perez pits. Raikkonen is again on supersofts so we know he's gonna have to stop again. Seb pits. Not great, 3.9, also supersofts. Ricciardo is in, and Massa. Should be the Mercs soon. Seb got out right in front of Raikkonen who doesn't attack. They're being team players or whatever. Lewis did pick the pace up indeed. His lap times compared to Nico's read +0.496 for lap 14, +0.429 for lap 15, +0.245 for lap 16, and +0.069 for lap 17. He's still not gaining on him though. Valtteri is back in P5 but closely followed by Grosjean and Ricciardo, all three within a second of each other. Grosjean has to defend against Daniel and that allows Valtteri to get ahead a bit.
It's lap 20. The Mercs still haven't stopped? But Lewis has started gaining on Nico. The gap between them is 14 seconds at this point. Seb is 21 seconds behind them, having pitted, then Raikkonen +1.3, Valtteri +7.9, Daniel +1.4, Grosjean +1.1, Perez +3.1, Max +2.9, and Massa +2.2. The gap at the front is down to 12.8. Nico is told 2 more laps. The gap is 11.8. Nico pits. It's a 3.9 stop, not great. Lewis is in the lead. The gap is now 13.7. Lewis pits. They're both on mediums, and Lewis’ stop was quicker although they don't give us the exact time. He's still out behind both Ferraris. That's gonna make things complicated for him, he'll finish P2 but the win seems pretty much impossible. Lewis asks about the Ferraris’ tyres and Bono explains they'll have to stop again. But Lewis can't waste time waiting for their tyres to fall apart. Yellow flags, Wehrlein is told to immediately stop the car and turn it off. It is smoking.
It's lap 30. Nico, Seb +4.7, Raikkonen +2.9, Lewis +2.4 (and gaining half a second per lap), Valtteri +10.6, Ricciardo +1.0, Verstappen +7.0, Massa +4.8, Hulkenberg +8.1, and Alonso +6.5. Seb pits. It's really not a fascinating race as you can tell. Not much on track action. Raikkonen pits as well. Daniel pits. Because Kvyat got a penalty I don't even what for we're now talking about the paddock rumour that this is his last gp and he's about to be replaced by Pierre.
It's lap 40 and I'm definitely bored af. Nico, Lewis +10.8, Seb +16.9, Raikkonen +6.7, Valtteri +11.1, Ricciardo +3.5, Perez +3.5, Verstappen +4.2, Massa +10.9, Hulkenberg +6.9. These gaps are boring themselves. Oh ho. It looks like Lewis has had an issue? Yeah big lock up before the chicane and he had to take the run off with the curbs.
10 laps to go. Literally yawning. They're trying to get me excited about a Jenson v. Alonso teammate fight for P12 and it's not working. Daniel overtakes Valtteri for P5. Oh. Alonso's engineer goes on radio to tell him to keep a strong pace to the end because Grosjean might still get to them on his 18 lap old options. Alonso's sole response is a MANICAL LAUGHTER. 5 laps to go.
It's the end of this extremely dull race.
Nico wins, Lewis P2, Seb P3.
Nico's engineer just called him Nicolas which is extremely weird.
Toto is happy, because it's "Ferrari-land" and one of the most prestigious circuits. He says it was probably boring to watch but still exciting to them. Nico is crowdsurfing his team. Toto says Lewis' bad start was probably due to too much wheelspin.
Standard "good job" from the Merc drivers in the cooldown room and that's it. Nico and Seb speak in German as usual when they're both here. Seb is excited. The crowd outside is singing like at a football match. It's gotten very silent inside. Seb accidentally took the n°1 cap and is told by an F1 official or whatever and Nico and he joke about it, in German still.
There's boos on the podium. I think for Nico, the journalists aren't sure. So much smoke from the crowd you can't see them on the podium but at least it's not during the race like nowadays I guess.
Tumblr media
The trophy ceremony makes it very clear to everyone the boos were for Nico because when Lewis gets his they cheer loudly. Not quite as loudly as for Seb of course.
Lewis as usual just charms the crowd.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Doesn't matter what he says anyway, they're all just waiting for Seb. Seb is emotional, no surprise.
Afterwards Nico says he feels Italian a bit himself because he has a lot of Italian friends? The crowd isn't liking it too much but then he talks to them in Italian and it wins them over. He makes them sing the earlier football song as well.
Tumblr media
Anyway. In the post race interview, Lewis says it's still a simple race weekend compared to the last one. It was all decided on the start. The strategy was the best possible one. Nico did a great job and he did his best getting back to P2.
Tumblr media
She asks if there's any difference in Nico this year that makes Lewis think it could go all the way to the end of the season. "Not really."
Tumblr media
Awkward pause as he doesn't elaborate. It gets him a bit annoyed, you can tell, because for the rest of the interview he's trying to get rid of it quickly. He doesn't talk much, makes her feel like the questions are stupid, and does that smile that signals the end of the interview after each question.
Tumblr media
She moves on to another question. Raikkonen said they were surprised not to be further behind Mercedes and does he think they're gonna put up a fight? "Well they haven't all weekend so… No?"
Tumblr media
"They were obviously quicker in the race, it's always been the case, in qualifying there's a bigger gap and in the race it closes up a little bit. But we were never really under a massive threat from them today." She says the next race is Singapore and last year it was a bit of a confusion for Merc, no worries? "I can only speak for myself I don't know what the team are thinking cause I haven't spoken to them about that race."
The gap in the standings is down to 2 points.
Anyway there's a lot of rumours about F1 being bought by liberty media at that point and Simon says that to get a return on investment they'd apparently need a 25 race calendar and well. Maybe that explains some current things? But of course it's become a lot more profitable since then with DTS and all that I guess.
Oh and Nasr did that thing Perez did not long ago (in 2023 I mean). The car was undrivable after the collision, they brought him in, put on new tyres, confirmed the damage, retired him, realised he had a penalty, sent him back out to serve it, and they retired him again so he doesn't take the penalty to Singapore.
Of course RBR denies the Gasly rumour and says the "official intention" is to keep Kvyat but he needs to improve. So. Yeah.
That's it for Monza and God was it a boring one.

What we've learnt during the 2022 Singapore GP weekend:
Christian can accuse Lewis of murder and of faking injury after Monza "21, Helmut and Jos can accuse Lewis of taking performance enhancing drugs, Max can insinuate that Anthony didn't teach Lewis the aggression his father taught him and therefore Lewis is scared of him and Newey can call Max's brake check a 'silly mistake' and Lewis/Max Silverstone crash a 'tactical foul' from Lewis and apparently that doesn't constitute defammatory comments but the minute Toto talks about how RBR should be adequately punished if they have broken the cost cap as it is an unfair advantage and suddenly that's so 'deflammatory' and RBR should really sue. Nah Lewis should sue for that time Max publicly accused him of being a crappy sportsperson sending a legion of his fans into a racist frenzy leading to the removal of 200,000 racist comments.
Max can scream at his team radio (Which yh idc about that bcs what is he supposed to be calm this whole time) but like when Lewis and Yuki do it they have to apologise for being rude and aggressive to his teammate funny how all the Max stannies who used to call out Lewis and Yuki are now praising Max for 'King shit'. I see your double standards.
Also one last thing Re: RBR allegedly going over the budget cap. When you keep bringing up 2007 and 2019 to idk defend RBR like I acc dk wht u guys are trynna achieve like yh mclaren were fined in 2007 yh ferrari had an illegal engine 2019 but what does that have to do with RBR and their alleged breach of cost cap rules like I'm sorry but u guys are so good at making excusing, bringing up random crap that has nothing to do with anything when you can just take your own advise and stop talking about it before the report actually comes out. Because all I've seen is 'u guys should stop talking about it before the report' okay then why are you talking about 2019 and 2007 to somehow defend rbr, makes absolutely no sense because why are u defending rbr when it hasnt even been proven theyve gone over the budget. Like leave the ferrari 2019 and mclaren 2007 for if it comes out that they actually did breach the budget cap. Y u jumping the gun. Also this is like a habit of u guys to bring up random crap instead of either staying silent or admitting something. Man said ableist slur and apparently it's okay because Pierre Gasly worse a native American headpiece and Lewis said boys can't wear dresses 😂 maybe all 3 of those things were terrible things. Like I'm sorry but if it's just a rumor idk why ur getting so defensive and if someone didn't acc do anything wrong by saying ableist slurs then why are u so hellbent on using 'he's young' or 'it's his culture' to defend it you don't actually need to defend someone if they didn't do anything wrong.
P.s. sorry I kinda digressed at the end but the whole ferrari 2019 and mclaren 2007 thing reminded me that MV fans really like to pull out all the things other people/teams have done to defend their team/driver only to call us villains for criticising ableist slurs.

AlphaTauri confirm Lawson will race at Monza and until Ricciardo is ready to return to action
AlphaTauri have confirmed Liam Lawson will continue to deputise for Daniel Ricciardo until the Australian is ready to return to racing. Ricciardo broke his hand in a crash during second practice for the Dutch Grand on Friday, with Red Bull junior Lawson drafted in as a last minute replacement. READ MORE: Horner refuses to be drawn on target comeback date for Ricciardo after ‘successful’ surgery on broken hand Lawson went on to qualify in 20th place for the race but acquitted himself well in the Grand Prix itself, managing to navigate one of the most chaotic races in recent memory to finish in P13, despite wet weather, red flags, Safety Car restarts and a penalty making his Formula 1 debut anything but straightforward. Meanwhile, Ricciardo was flown to Spain to have surgery on his hand on Sunday. “Had surgery this morning, got my first bit of metalwork so that’s cool,” Ricciardo said on social media when he posted a photo from his hospital bed on Sunday evening. “Big thanks to everyone who reached out and kept my spirits up. This ain’t a setback, just all part of the comeback.” Ricciardo had surgery on his broken hand on Sunday Red Bull boss Christian Horner confirmed after the race at Zandvoort that the eight-time race winner would be out of action at least until after next week's Italian Grand Prix. “He had an operation earlier today, he’s had several screws and a plate fitted to his metacarpal, it went well, it was successful,” said Horner. READ MORE: 5 Winners and 5 Losers from the Dutch GP – Who kept their head when the heavens opened? “It was a fairly straightforward procedure so now it is all about recovery and we’ll see. For a normal human being that would be a couple of months, for a Grand Prix driver it’s often much shorter.” Lawson was initially only called up for the Dutch Grand Prix, but on Monday afternoon AlphaTauri confirmed he would continue to race until Ricciardo is fully fit and ready to get back behind the wheel. "We are delighted that Daniel’s surgery went well and that he is now on the road to recovery," the Italian team said in a statement. "We hope to see him at the track again very soon, but until he is fully fit, we can confirm that Liam, who did a good job in difficult circumstances in Zandvoort, will continue to drive alongside Yuki, starting from our home race this weekend in Monza." READ MORE: Lawson admits he was ‘just happy to get through the race’ after chaotic maiden Grand Prix Lawson, 21, said after his debut on Sunday he was simply happy to make the chequered flag, given how hectic the race was. “It was good, it was a lot going on. When I was rolling up to the grid and it was starting to rain, it wasn’t the best feeling but the race was okay,” he said afterwards. "I think the second half of the race was not so bad, once we got clean air and also on the inters at the end was not too bad. Just happy to survive.” via Formula 1 News https://www.formula1.com

Here's my unpopular opinion of which races we can get rid of to reduce the calendar:
Jeddah: Not a single good thing has come out of Jeddah. Track was hastily built and the most ridiculous things happen on that track. It can sashay away.
Miami: It's trash for the drivers and spectators. Nuff said.
Monaco: I don't care that it's historical. It's boring. There's no overtaking and the displays of wealth are obscene. Build a museum or something if you want to discuss it's F1 history.
Spa: Fuck Spa. Again, I don't care that it's historical. The number injuries that take place on this track alone should retire it. But it's also boring. Also Zandvoort is right there. If you want a race, go to Zandvoort.
Monza: My rule is that countries only get 1 GP. Especially European countries. If you're gonna get upset with the US for having multiple GPs even though the US is the size of Western Europe. None of y'all get more than 1 GP especially when all of South America only has 1 GP. I prefer Imola over the speed circuit. Argue with the wall.
Losail: Just no. Why? Who asked for this?
Las Vegas: We haven't even had a race there yet but I'm disqualifying it on the same basis as Monaco. It's an obscene display of wealth and an unnecessary logistical nightmare to plan. Would I like to see Danny Ric race there? Yes. But, it's really not that deep.
I will accept the following replacements to bring the calendar up to 21 races:
Kyalami: Can we have 1 race on the African continent? Like, how are you a global sport when you just ignore a whole continent?
Hockenheim: I don't really need to explain this one. We all want it.
Buenos Aires: It just looks like a fun track and it has a lot of potential if we could bring it out of retirement. Also another South American race.
Morocco: The weather and vibes would be immaculate. It can become the new temple of speed. Just unretire it.
