IT'S BEEN SO LONG. I return suddenly once more to bring a dusted and cleaned-off piece of my lovely moon-elf, now finalized and recently used in a one-shot with the gang, dm'd by @zannianator !

This is Veluthe Daoin'lyth. He's a Wild Magic Sorcerer who has an unusual magical affliction he's on a journey to find a cure for. It's caused his magic to go wild and his skin to shift and be covered in a blackened void flecked with what almost looks like starlight. it threatens to spread further up his body each time he's under major stress, and the worse it gets, the more volatile his magic may become, and the closer he gets to a much too early end for an elf his age.

Lucky for him tho, he succeeded on his saves during the one-shot despite being terrified by a bunch of monsters so all is well. for now at least~

What if the blue hair of moon elves wasn't a bright blue like you'd assume but rather a silvery blue? Think "blue" in cats.

Not only would this represent their connection to the moon further but also make more sense biologically. The blue coloring in cats is caused by a dilution of black pigment - which moon elves also have.

I dunno, all the things I've seen about them just say that their hair can be "blue", which implies the possibility of very bright blue, but I think silvery-blue coloring would make more sense generally.

- Also generally VERY COLORFUL STYLES, and also BOLD MAKEUP IS VERY POPULAR FOR THEM

- Regularly dress like smth akin to the Fast Flying Fairies in Pixie Hollow, and Medieval/Renaissance European tinker related style fashions

- Breezy and practical fashions are generally popular amongst the Air Elves

- BRAIDS AND WAR PAINTS ON THE REG

. Spice Elves :

- Their style of dress is similar to those of the Nomadic Tribes in Olden North Africa and the Arabian Pennisula, wirh several nods from Ottoman Fashions and Medieval Middle Eastern fashions

- Literally spice, sand and fire related elements in their fashions on the reg

- GOLD ACCESSORIES ARE VERY POPULAR

I took a stab at a Forgotten Realms classic, please, let me know what you think? (Elven Subrace for 5e) By Bran-Ridire Type: Humanoid (of the Elf Subtype) Age: Moon Elves claim their adult names sometime around reaching their first century of life, and live nearly 1 millennium. Size: Medium, Moon Elves stand roughly 6ft tall. Speed: Your base land speed is 30 ft. (6 Squares) Typical Alignment: Chaotic Good, Chaotic Neutral, Rebel Moral or Rebel Neutral. Base Languages: Moon Elves Read/Write and Speak Elven and the home language of their nation if not already listed as well as one Bonus language of their choice from the following; Abyssal, Celestial, Dragonic or Sylvan. Moon Elf Adventurers also speak Common or Oriental depending on your Campaign Setting. Ability Scores: +2 Wisdom, +1 Intelligence. Cantrip: You begin play knowing one extra Cantrip of your choice.  This Cantrip must be from the Druid Spell list and Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for this Cantrip. Darkvision: 60 ft. (Out to a range of 60 ft. you can see in dim light as if it were bright light, and in darkness you see in distinctive shades of grey). Moon Elf Weapon Training: You begin play Proficient in the Use of Light Crossbows, Longbows, Longswords, and Rapiers. something about the fact that ghosting is "a unanimous community decision that has to be discussed by all members of the silvergrove and is not taken lightly." every single elf in the community committed to symbolically killing two loving parents for a supposed moment of shame. including rayla. every single elf in the community committed to symbolically killing a child, for making it out alive. for what they so momentously assumed was abandoning ship. they destroyed the life of a child for not being willing to die.

tiadrin and lain were--to reiterate--loving parents. they were brave enough to dedicate their lives to protecting the future of xadia. i'm sure everyone admired and honored them greatly. then, everyone (symbolically) ended their lives. their best friends, whom they trusted enough to leave their child with them. their own daughter, who loved them, and who spent years of her life looking up to them--revering them to the point where she could validate their decision.

rayla was 15. rayla was endlessly hardworking, achieving, mature, kind, heroic, brave, resilient, and noble. rayla went out of her way to become an assassin, a role in the silvergrove highly respected for their understanding and handling of life and death. rayla did everything she could to be as valiant as her parents. rayla betrayed her own parents, and did everything she could to be nothing like them. rayla was everything the silvergrove could ask for. and rayla made one presumed blunder, and she had the gall to live on.

rayla was 15 when her community, her entire world, abominated her for "cowardice." her honorary father. grief-stricken over the love of his life, but nonetheless having taken her in, shown her the utmost kindness and sensitivity, and raised her for half a decade, at the very least.

i am normal. wdym rayla has trauma? wdym rayla is incredible for having come this far? wdym rayla doesn't deserve to lose everything she has left for what she good-intentional-ly did when she was as fractured a person as you can be? wdym tdp is really good at building cultures with nuance? wdym
