Started this painting in January and touched it probably once every 3 months or so this year. Finally decided to sit down and finish this up before the New Year, and while it's still winter.
I also did a painting of Baur's Reach about 3 years ago just to get the colours down, since this is my favourite location in the whole game, and I remember not being too happy with the piece. So I guess this is also me redeeming myself in my eyes.
I noticed that I never posted my third Ori fanart here, so there you go. ♥ Cute little Ku, during the hearbreaking scene early at the beginning of “The Will of the Wisps”, where the little one stares at the birds taking wing, yearning to fly as well.
If you've seen my Kuro artwork, you may notice that I used similar colors to said painting, to create a connection between them.
You can find a close-up photo and some work in progress pictures of my painting process if you keep reading. :)
Based on its initial preview, No Rest For the Wicked still seems like it has the making of an incredible action-RPG, even if it seems to be saving what could very well be its biggest guns for later, making the decision to launch in Early Access an odd one.
Grapple, The Ancient Wellspring - Ori and the Will of the Wisps

I love the grapple ability but starting this drawing was really intimidating. Luckily, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, and that's mainly in part due to actually planning out the background instead of relying on abstract shapes. Also, I'm not used to working with oranges and browns, but this turned out good!
Idk how many more trees I have left...looks like I gotta replay the game to keep track of them all.

I am back. o_o
To say that I'm dissatisfied with a very certain, different social media platform would be an understatement, so I want to give the old Tumblr a chance again. I might even re-upload older pieces I've never shown here, but for now I'll start by sharing one of my latest paintings, a fanart of the gorgeous game "Ori and the Blind Forest", starring its antagonist Kuro during the dramatic ending scene.
