he doesn’t see Tauriel as a daughter (although for AU fic that is a really useful/interesting relationship to play with) - instead she is his subject and his captain. but he’s also personally fond of her, especially since she’s friends with his only child, and he wishes he’d been more parental with her…maybe that would have “saved” her. i think his feelings re: kiliel change over time (esp. wrt barduil) but yeah, he wishes he felt paternal with her, but he doesn’t really

as much as i love Tauriel (& Kiliel) he was absolutely right to push her away from Kili, that was a fucking tragic disaster and he was just trying to protect her and his kingdom. probably could have done a better job of that, but his heart was in the right place

I feel like doing all of them!1. Who makes the first move and how?Nameless King made the first move. He couldn’t supress his feelings anymore and confessed to Ornstein with a good, tropy Kagedon. 2. Who is the most insecure and what makes them feel better?Ornstein is usually very insecure outside of his armour. NK has to comfort him a lot and has to reassure him that there is a reason that he is his first knight.3. Who is the most romantic?Both of them are hella romantic. 4. Who can’t keep their hands to themselves?NK. He has to grab Ornstein all the time, also in secret in war meetings and stuff. Ornstein always gives him death glares because they keep their relationship secret but that just makes NK the more determined to touch him. 5. Who says ‘I love you’ first?NK.6. Who would they ask if they ever had a threesome?NK would ask Smough, but Ornstein would kill him for it at the time they were together. So Artorias. Or Seath, but for this Ornstein would kill him twice. 7. What do they get up to on a night out?Riding on King of Storms, having a nice dinner, staring deeply in each other eyes while the moon shines on them. 8. What do they like in bed?Cuddling. They cuddle a lot. 9. What is the most embarrassing thing they have done in front of each other?For Ornstein it was getting sick because he was drunk and vomiting all over the floor. NK doesn’t have any shame when it comes to Ornstein seeing him do stuff. 10. What two songs, two books and two luxury items do they take to a desert island?Wrong time period for this question. Also, they can come back anyway with King of Storms whenever they want. 11. What do they hide from one another?NK hides that he loves dragons actually and Ornstein tries to hides his insecurities. 12. What first changes when it starts getting serious?That they weren’t so stiff around each other anymore. 13. When do they realise they should get together?It took them far too much pining and only after NK couldn’t take it anymore did they get serious.14. When one has a cold, what does the other do?Taking care of them of course. Cooking some food (but don’t let Ornstein cook), getting some damp towels, tuck them into bed, making sure they will feel cared for. 15. When they watch a film what do they choose and why? Who gets the final vote?They don’t have movies in their world. But they can watch plays. They actually have to discuss this a lot because it is weird when NK takes his knight with him to a play. Usually Ornstein has the last say because he is a bit more collected about their relationship. 16. When the zombie apocalypse comes, how do they cope together?It came. They broke up beforehand. If it would have come when they were still together, they would have fought at each others side. 17. When they find a time machine, where do they go?Back to the beginning before the dragon war to fix this whole mess. 18. When they fight, how do they make up?Usually with juicy time in the bedroom. 19. Where do they go on their first date?Dark Root Garden. 20. Where do they go on holiday?Knights and Princes don’t really have holidays... but on their free time they like to hang around Anor Londo or Dark Root Garden. 21. Where do they get nervous about going with one another?Pretty much everywhere where their relationship couldn’t be interpreted as a prince and his knight but as a couple. Because they keep it secret. 22. Where does their first kiss happen?During the Kagedon in Anor Londo’s hallways. 23. Where is their favourite place to be together?NK’s room. 24. Where do they first have sex?NK’s room. 25. Why do they fight?Because of different believes. Most of the time they had a pretty harmonious relationship though. It was just this one thing that let it all fall apart. 26. Why do they need to have a serious chat?Their breakup was MESSY and it was all Gwyn’s fault kinda and they fell out with each other thinking the other hated them. 27. Why do their friends get annoyed with them?Because they won’t make their relationship public. 28. Why do they get jealous?Ornstein is the ones who gets jealous whenever NK is surrounded by potential marriage candidates. That is HIS boyfriend and HE is HIS first knight and how can they even DARE look at him?29. Why do they fall a little bit more in love?They register tiny things about each other when they spend more time that they really start to cherish. 30. Why does it work (or not work) between them?It worked between them because they are actually pretty similar but also complement each other. Ornstein has the cool headedness for NK’s hot headedness and NK has the security to Ornstein’s insecurity. It didn’t work because they had strongly different believes and that led to a messy breakup.
