tts spoilers!

alright, cass’ competitive streak set us up for her arc in season three. Here’s why.

We see it starting in season one. She’s constantly competing against Eugene. And I mean constantly. She drags Raps away at any chance she gets, and is often seen dominating conversation when it involves the three of them. Competition.

And look at challenge of the brave? That wasn’t only character building, but foreshadowing. She’s not only competing against Eugene, but also Rapunzel, even if that is on a more quiet level.

What happens when she doesn’t get her way? When she doesn’t win? She gets mad. She gets upset.

let’s go to season two, shall we? This is when it starts getting really discussed in my opinion.

it starts being really presented in Goodbye and Goodwill. Her competing with Rapunzel starts growing more evident. The praise from Quaid really flipped a switch I think.

And in freebird? Well, she challenges Rapunzel’s ideas and theories more than she did in season one. Goodbye and Goodwill gave her the confidence I think.

We don’t see it too much more until the great tree. But oh boy do we see it in the great tree. She absolutely can not have Rapunzel use her idea over Cassandra’s. Albeit, we could blame this one on being protective of Rapunzel, but I think it was both. And waiting in the wings? Guys. I’m not spelling that out.

Rapunzel: day one? In that opening scene, we see it for sure.

And for destinies collide, well, I think we all see it at this point. The rope scene, mixed with adira’s existence in general? Perfection.

Not to mention, the idea that her own mother choosing Rapunzel, giving Rapunzel the win, instead of Cass? That wrecked her. That ruined her. That was the turning point. We all know it’s the turning point, but we see it in the new light now don’t we?

I hope I’ve sufficiently explained this now. I may come back with more evidence later, but idk.
