Cause I’ve seen some of your worries and I want to make sure your okay. Before I was diagnosed with DID I was diagnosed with schizophrenia despite not having it. Not all diagnoses or ideas from professionals are correct or understand the full nature of your experience. ♥️

He is a trauma and dissociation specialist so I would be worried as hell if he wasn’t up to date on that stuff. He’s just one of the ones who sees BPD and DID on the same spectrum so his diagnosis is rocking back and forth very hard, but it seemed to shake him up when Scarlet came out (so much so that I am actually worried I scared him tbpfh ). He said that he was now on the fence because Scarlet was so damn developed and has to read up to make sure that BPD can’t have developed as hell ‘fragmentations’ (or something to that nature)

i agree that the stigmatization is fukin bullshit n the idea that all of us are murderers is dumb but it’s equally as dumb to whiplash back round and act like no alters ever killed no one (out of self-defense or otherwise) cuz alters are exactly what ya said, we are human n we are flawed n we are generally really traumatized individuals with a lotta issues

specially since the post that person was respondin to was sayin somethin like “alters aren’t dangerous” fuk i know we have tons of bastards in our system that are dangerous n it is a totally legit question for a singlet to ask if any of us is gonna act dangerous towards them cuz once again we are a group of traumatized individuals n we have alters that lash out that’s just how it goes

it feels like shit to have people pretend like that ain’t a part of us n it’s somethin that i personally especially feel shitty about cuz in the past i was one a those alters out of tryna be overprotective n i was dangerous i ain’t anymore but actin like none alters can ever be dangerous just cuz we are alters ain’t the right way to go about things
