notes - HECK YEAH YOU CAN! I am up way too early rn because there was some spooky ahh thunder that woke me up, so when I saw this, i was like heck yesss <3

he would literally spoil you to death

the day before your bday, he is just planning and scheming all while you're just chillin lol

he would get everyone in on it (even Zoro and the two of them try not to argue) and make it a big party for you

bro would wake you up with lots of kisses and cuddles and just be pampering you in bed

and then make it even better when he whips out the breakfast in bed

which is the best thing you've ever had btw

he reminds you how much he loves you and then finally when you two leave your bed, the whole crew is waiting for you with presents and big smiles

you would be totally flustered and sanji tells you that he knows it's hard to be away from home and gives you an amazing birthday even if it's on a boat

you tell him that he and the strawhats are your home and that you're very thankful for your surprise <3

just know that sanji will never leave your side on this special day and you deserve every ounce of that love he is willing to give <3

» this is apart of my 'MARK DRABBLE BDAY SPECIAL' event that i will be doing for his bday week. requests are OPEN for this.

» warnings: none. just some light kissing and touching. alcohol may be mentioned here and there.

“Happy birthday Mark!!” The entirety of the room yells, party poppers bursting into the air, balloons being thrown at the culprit. Mark stands in the middle of the room gobsmacked at the scene, surrounded by family and friends that makes his throat tighten up from the emotional hit in his chest, but he sputters out a laugh when Haechan runs forward to slap on a neon green party hat on the top of his head.

He gets shoved into the crowd, some wrapping him up into celebratory hugs while others pinch his cheeks, cooing small words of affection that he appreciates gratefully despite the efforts he makes to push them away, his belly rumbling with laughter when Johnny easily swoops him up into a bone crushing hug and Taeyong slaps his bottom.

It doesn’t take Mark long to find you, standing away at the corner with a beaming grin on your face, holding a watermelon cake that almost brings tears to his eyes. It’s the same cake you and your parents bought him on his fifth birthday and each year, you’ve continued to stick with the tradition, buying the same watermelon cake from the same store but decorated differently with candles that represent his age. The sparkly ‘23’ shines back at him and he can’t help shyly smile at you when you gesture at him to blow out the candles.

Everyone around him cheers again when the candles are blown and you lay down the cake on the table before jumping into Mark’s arms excitedly that wrap around your body on instinct, holding you as close to him as he possibly could as you sway him side to side.

“I thought you weren't going to make it” Mark mumbles in your ear close enough to let you hear over the music. “Your mom told me over the phone this morning that you were busy”

“I wanted to surprise you!!” You giddily tell him, squeezing him tightly in your grasp. “You’re my best friend, Mark! Of course I’m not going to miss your birthday!”

Best friend. Those two words leave a ugly feeling but he doesn’t have enough time to dwell on it as he’s forcefully ripped away from you, almost stumbling over his shoes as he’s swung around to face Yuta who shoves a shot glass into his hand, begging him to drink the concoxion inside. Mark’s face turns sour when the alcohol burns as it runs down the back of his throat and he turns his attention back on you to continue a conversation but he sees you’re already preoccupied by Jaehyun who forcefully feeds you a shot, tipping your head back with a boisterous laugh.

Haechan is the one that coaxes everyone into dancing and drinking, gripping Mark’s wrist to tug him into the centre and twirl him around. Mark loses his balance and he almost slips to the ground if it wasn’t for the hands that steady him on his back. It’s you, a shy smile creeps onto his lips, you’re always there to catch him when he falls. You’re always there. His arm slips around your shoulders comfortably when yours goes around his waist, holding you close to his side as he dances along with the others.

Everyone sings loudly to his favourite song that blasts on the speakers, everyone that he loves surrounds him with happy smiles and everyone is having fun. It feels like a dream come true to Mark and he’s so emotional that he’s unable to control the tears that pool in his eyes, but he doesn’t stop smiling, he doesn’t stop laughing. This is what he’s always wanted.

It doesn’t take Mark long to get drunk, the alcohol making his face red and his brain fuzzy to the point he can’t fully stand or continue dancing, so he sits alone with you in a corner, holding a cup of water in his hands as he listens to you excitedly explains the ins and outs of this surprise party him, even adding in a few creative words to cuss out Haechan who almost leaked it this morning. But Mark zones out when he sees how passionate you are, hands throwing up in the air, giggling and laughing through your words, prettily smiling when you’re talking about something he can’t fully hear.

His heartbeat is loud in his ears and he can’t focus anymore when the skin of your arm brushes against his. He doesn’t pull away despite feeling like he’s getting scorched, he craves more of it when you pull away and his fingers eagerly reach out for your elbow.

You’ve stopped talking now, staring back at Mark with curiosity and wonder pooling in your eyes, even a little bit of concern for his lack of speech. He struggles to speak, mouth opening and closing like a fish which makes him feel a little embarrassed and shy, heat creeping up his neck as you hold out the eye contact. You’re calling out his name and Mark swears he’s never heard something so sweet before, his fingers dropping from your elbow as it hits him, it hits him hard and he can’t stop himself from holding back any longer.

“I love you” Mark whispers to you, voice full of seriousness and honesty. His nerves slip away from the amount of alcohol that rushes through his veins and he’s not able to tear his eyes away from yours that now widen in surprise. “I’m so thankful for everything and I just… I really love you, I do”

“Yeah?” You hum, placing your hand on his cheek and swiping the small strand of confetti that rests on his cheekbone with your thumb with a small smile. Mark nods quickly, swallowing thickly at your touch but he relaxes into it, placing his hand on top of yours.

“Yeah, I do” He confesses, but his nerves soon come back once he realises how quiet you’ve become. He wants the ground to swallow him whole, he wants someone to rush over and take him away from the rejection he’s about to face, he wishes that Haechan would come and change the subject now more than ever. And just as his eyes leave you to search for his other friend, he feels your lips press against his.

Mark’s frozen in place, unable to move as you kiss him so gently, heart thumping widely in his chest. He doesn’t even have time to kiss you back because you’re already pulling away, searching his eyes for any discomfort. He pinches himself, he can’t help it, he’s thought about this for far too long that he’s scared it’s all in his head… but he’s here, it’s real… and you just kissed him.

The shyness that takes over Mark causes you to laugh and he bashfully looks away, smiling like a fool to himself but you cup his jaw to turn him back to face you. His eyes roam around your face lovingly and he’s surprised when your expression matches his. He wants to kiss you again, he wants to do it properly this time but he waits for your signal, his leg bouncing nervously.

“Mark…” His name has always sounded good coming out of your mouth. “You can kiss me”

And so he does.

There are lots of different food stands, an ice cream stand, and a bar with countless drinks you can choose from as well as some nice music for a nice ambience. After dinner, you'll go take your seat in front of the big screen and finish off the evening with a romantic outdoor movie experience! Your date partner will be me Hunter🩷

@solovolpe -> You'll meet up on a donkey farm in the countryside where you'll be instructed by the farmer on how to properly handle and safely go on a walk with a donkey. The farmer has also prepared a luscious picnic for the both of you and sends you off on a little hiking route through the countryside. About halfway through the hike, you'll arrive at a house/hut in the vineyards where you can take a break and enjoy your picnic. The day ends by leading the donkey back home and bidding your goodbye to the farmer. Your date partner will be Sumin🩷
