I need more Deacon angst in my life, yes he’s silly BUT I just crave it

Like I never see anything too sad it’s always silly sad, like “yeah man my wife died and now I’m sad”, stuff like that. Like I need him sobbing, crying, dying, watching someone die, getting more trauma, l just need something that’ll tare his life apart all over again. I mean I could do it myself but I want to see other people do it too, I need him to take that silliness away for just a second and just start sobbing his fucking brains out.

He literally wanted to move on with his life after he found the love of his life, settle down and have a family. Move on from the UP Deathclaw’s because he couldn’t handle the fact he killed someone, he openly admits he was scum before he met Barbra. Then he finds out she’s a synth but was willing to look past it even with his past with hating synths snd the UP Deathclaw’s, but then the people in the gang SOMEHOW found out she was a synth and fucking killed her. That was a major even that shaped him into who he is in the game when you finally meet him.

Like come on, he’s a compulsive liar and is very open about it, eventually when you reach highest affinity with him he finally opens up to you, the only moment you really get to hear something about him, the reason he’s the way he is, the reason he tries to be everyone BUT himself, why he’s scared to get close to everyone, even the people he works with in the railroad. He doesn’t even want to get close to the sole survivor because he’s scared but he ends up doing it. He admits that we’re his only friend and it’s so fucking depressing.

So basically, I want to see more Deacon angst because it’s what my hearts loves. I could go on and on about how fucked up Deacon is and I probably will. I think the most angst I’ve seen for him was in a companions react but I also might be ass at finding it so that could also be my problem.

I know it’s stupid but.

I’m sitting here crying because someone was so kind to me in this past year that I was able to get some really important dental work done, and a fake tooth flipper thing to help support the whole tooth alignment and look nice or whatever. And now it’s many months later and the follow up dental work I needed in November has been on hold because

1. I had a pet emergency that meant I had to cancel that appointment.

2. I went into massive debt so we could survive the winter and couldn’t afford more debt just to get fillings.

3. Between the weather and the fact that they just decided not to plow my road for half the winter I have not been able to travel safely to town, never mind 2 1/2 hours away.

4. Covid is extremely rampant here, no one is masked anywhere but especially in dental and medical settings, and the last booster didn’t seem to do shit for my immunocompromised ass. I can’t actually go to the dentist without genuinely risking my life.

So now the rest of my teeth are starting to get bad, and the really nice flipper that holds my teeth aligned and makes it so I can smile without feeling ashamed was a complete waste of time and money because other teeth in that area will probably need to be pulled out at this point. And I just… I don’t know how to apologize to the person who helped me. I wasted their money. I didn’t mean to, and I fully intended to complete the rest of the dental work I needed. But everything went wrong. Really wrong. And now I will have to wait until it’s so bad it could kill me to risk my life to have them all pulled out. While building up more debt because I can’t even afford to have them taken out. And I won’t be able to chew anymore at all. And… I just don’t know how to apologize for this.

VERY IMPORTANT a dam in the Netherlands, the weerdsluis lock, is directly on a migratory path for spawning fish. They have a worker stationed there to open the door for the fish, but they can take a while to open it. So to keep the fish from getting preyed on by birds they installed a doorbell. Only, the fish don't have hands to ring the doorbell. If you go to their website, they have a LIVE CAMERA AND A DOORBELL that YOU RING FOR THE FISH when they're waiting, and then the dam worker opens the door for them! I can't express how obsessed I am with this. look at this shit. oh my god.

Please check on the fish doorbell once in a while :)

The older I get the more I admire people who are earnestly, genuinely into whatever their thing is. I know it sounds like an annoying cliche but unless you're being cruel or hurtful there is really no need to be normal about things. The dude with the bad fake accent at the renaissance faire is having the time of his life. The people having photoshoots with their fashion dolls are loving it. The old lady with a yard unreasonably full of tacky ass lawn ornaments is having a blast, HOA be damned.

yknow AI art has ruined an entire genre of painting to me, i saw one of those smooth anime-realism pieces and immidiately thought ''ugh, AI art'' until i noticed it was posted by an established deviantart user 6 years ago. like ive never been a huge fan of that genre but it looks like a pretty difficult style to master and i feel bad for the artists who specialized in anime-realism only to have their entire market jacked by people typing keywords into midjourney.
