No matter how many fandoms I enter, no matter how many books I read, I'll never love a character more than I love Rufus and Mateo

Round 1a Match 1
Aaron Soto/Thomas Reyes (More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera)
AO3 fic count: 0
"Basically this boy meets another boy and they became Friends (hard not to root for them when The other Friends are unbearable and low Key should be in prison
I mean they are unrequited but since when has this stopped anyone, i Just wanted Anything to ignore Canon but the fandom for this book is like 3 people"
Mr. Mistoffelees/Rum Tum Tugger (Cats the Musical)
AO3 fic count: 435
What's the opposite of a dark horse? This is the ship most likely to have to be disqualified because it's getting too many votes and throwing off the whole tournament. Misto generally doesn't sing his own song, because the character is focused on dancing, so Rum Tum Tugger just rolls out and does a whole bit about how cool and great Misto is. And this is after Misto cuts into Tugger's song to call him a terrible bore. They're considered canon in many productions and this point.

Is it a good idea to start Song of Achilles right after crying about They Both Die at the End??? I have a feeling it isn’t but… maybe?? Or should I throw in Red, White and Royal Blue or More Happy than Not between them for good measure AND for the sake of my mental health perhaps?

Finishing a book and needing to sit in your room listening to music for a few hours while crying before your brain boots up enough for you to partake in society again
