I want to talk about CONSENT.

Because some of you seem to be really big on the concept without actually having the slightest understanding of what it is or means.

CONSENT DOES NOT ONLY APPLY TO SEX.

If you punch someone in the face without asking them if it's okay for you to do that, you have violated that person's consent. If you steal something, say a keychain, that belongs to someone else because you like it and want it, that is a violation of that person's consent.

IF YOU FEED SOMEONE'S WORK TO AN AI BECAUSE YOU WANT THE FIC TO BE FINISHED FASTER THAN THE AUTHOR IS WRITING IT WITHOUT ASKING THAT IS A VIOLATION OF THEIR CONSENT.

It doesn't fucking matter that "you wanted it."

The world does not revolve around you and your wants.

THAT'S THE PROBLEM!!!!

The reason the art quality of this game is suffering in comparison to it's predesesors is the project is too big for the small team to keep up at the pace they're going.

To demand more content of a small team at whatever cost is a reciepe for disaster.

Also.

Any long time fan would know all games in the Cheritz-verse make mentions of the games that came before it and they're in the same world. Nameless had Dandelion references. MM had Nameless and Dandelion refs throughout. The Ssum would naturally have refs to all 3 and MM was a 3 year long story. For goodness sake Saeran, Rika and V were all recycled character designs from Nameless.

That's always been part of the brand. Anyone who's mad about that, there are other Otome game brands that don't do that. If there's a game after the Ssum, it'll do the same thing.

One more thing.

We didn't know people would be mad we used AI. "We will pay close attention to the negative impact that the A.I. has brought to the gaming industry."

Isn't addressing this issue. It's not even saying they'll stop using AI or disclose which images are AI generated. I'm glad they didn't lie about it, but they didn't offer a solution.

The most obviously solution, scaling down the scope of content and releasing less frequently, will probably make people even more mad.

I'm really worried this game is going to kill the company :/

My softball season has started (I'm homeschooled lol so I play in a different league from the league for the public schools) so I have practice pretty often and games are staring soon as well

Ive also been doing finals this week so it's been a bit of a ride for me but I'm very excited once school will end (my last final is tmmr) so I can be more active

Our apartment building(the aprtment buildings???? Idk what to call them) that we live in got another note/letter but this time theyre saying that we cant back uo into any of the parking spots.

Like our assigned parking nor guest parking. As if we park the back better not be facing the building.

Bc the car exhaust/fumes can get into the homes/places of business(maybe the second part was worded differently

And like we and our guests only get one warning or else they call the tow truck like.... its a bunch/couple of bulding in one area technically all the same and a lot of ppl most who im assuming is low income. Also they recently changed owners. They keep sending notices/notes.

Btw its all outdoor parking, there are no parking garages

so i was talking about top gun with my mom

who’s been a huge fan ever since before i was born, and i was gushing about the fighter jet’s and how cool they are and a bunch of other curiosities i’ve learned about them, either from podcasts or from yt videos etc etc and she was like

“oh so you’d want to fly one sometime?”

and i was like “well yea obviously, if i was crazy rich. bc tHEY ARE SO COOL isn’t that like everyone’s dream once they watch the movie?”

and she just stared at me, raised one eyebrow and shook her head. and i’m like what do you mean your first automatic response to that movie isn’t I WANNA FLY JETS, PLANES MAKE THE BRAIN GO BRRRR ???????

and she just shrugged and said “yeah no i just really like tom cruise. oh, and the storyline.” which ok, valid but still. and then she adds “also, i’d probably puke all over if i ever flew in one of those”

and i just ???? yea me too, mom, but it’d be so worth it.

long story short, please tell me i’m not the only freak obsessed with aviation who loves that movie bc of the planes and because of the gayest love story to ever gay (yes icemav i’m looking at you)

See how in 2023 almost all of the reblogs come from the OP, from their few hours/days in the tag search. Meanwhile in 2014 the % of reblogs from OP is insignificant, because most of the reblogs come from the reblogs within the fandom, within the micro-communities formed there. You didn't need to rely on tags, or search, or being featured. Because the community took care of you, made sure to pass the work between themselves and onto their blog and exposed their followers to it. It kept works alive for years.

It's not JUST the reblog/like ratio that causing this issue, it's the type of interaction people have. They're content with scrolling and liking the search engine, instead of actually having a reblogging relationship with other blogs in their community.

Anyways, if you want to see more content you like, the only true way to make it happen is to reblog it. Likes do not forward content in no way but making OP feel nice. Reblogs on the other hand make content eternal. They make it relevant, they make it exist outside of a fickle tumblr search that hardly works on the best of days.

If you want more of something, reblog it.

So fandom, I am once again begging you all to pull your heads out of your fucking asses for like TWO GODDAMN SECONDS and use the brains I know you have in there even if you prefer to act like you don't.... And tell me, what is worse? Gay fanfic on the internet written by *GASP* straight people or real life queer or questioning people and allies being harassed? And if you actually have to think about the answer to that for more than half a second, shame on you.

So this is basically me ranting at this point, but why is Adrien so...boring? And low key manipulative? If they weren't painting him to be sunshine boy it would be different, but they do. His flaw is supposed to be his wanting to know ladybugs identity, which I agree he should know by at the most season 3. But him dangling his friendship with chloe for good behavior really bugged me. That's not how friendship works. If a friend is behaving badly, you talk to them about it, try to correct it, but you don't blackmail them into being nice. If he had said I wish you were nicer, or tried to address the root of why she was cruel that would be one thing, but blackmailing her was so wrong. I like him as chat noir. He's fun, and fierce and shows a willingness to sacrifice himself that's important for his role. But his civilian self needs work. He can't be perfect boy. I wish they didn't try to make him be that. Maybe make him more prickly that shows his kindness through actions, but isn't great on the social scene. Keep the misunderstanding between him and marinette and have her gradually realize that his heart is in the right place. Dial down chat noirs love for ladybug and have him actually correct her focus at times when she needs it. Likewise eliminate marinettes stalking...that didn't need to exist. Keep the anxiety freak outs and aim them towards her designs and interactions with friends. Once she develops feelings for adrien add in her anxiety slowly. I just...have so many thoughts about these characters and the way they go canonically makes me so frustrated. I want this show to be good. I really really wish it was.
