would you tell an African American person you know their history better than them?

Was Squilf happy that her apprentice got with her grandchild? Did she set them up/is it common in BB for older family members and mentors to "recommend" mates? Not like an arranged marriage thing but more like your aunt going "you know my old apprentice Dudeheart, well, he has a son that's such a bright and courteous young man, I really think you two might have a lot to talk about"
It's SUPER common, probably making up a solid percentage of matches-made. That's just how it is in a society that heavily values making connections between its members; everyone's got The Auntie who's trying to introduce you to handsome and responsible suitors.
Rosetail actually paired up her son Redtail with Runningwind. I feel like she was a great matchmaker in her time, but I haven't yet picked any others she paired up. Maybe Lionheart and Frostfur! That could be cute!
But I'm not sure if Squilf did matchmaking for Spark and Holly. They were actually kithood friends and had the seeds of romance long before they blossomed.
When Sparkpelt explains this to Nightheart someday, she'll describe it as something that was always there, as right as the drops that slumber within a fat cloud. Even before it drizzles, its nature is simply to rain.

There's something really depressing about seeing the number of people trying to proclaim Max Verstappen as some kind of "feminist icon" for his comments about F1 Academy.
Has he correctly identified some of the limitations with F1 Academy? Yes.
Is he just another man sitting in his ivory tower and casting judgements on the efforts other people are making to try and take steps forward, whilst simultaneously having no intention or inclination to offer any help or assistance in fixing things? Also yes.
Everyone KNOWS that F1 Academy is flawed, but when you're working with a stacked deck against you, it's impossible to implement the perfect solution the first time, or even the second time. In fact the fact it's got flaws is all the more reason to vocally support the series, because aside from funding, the biggest stumbling block women in motorsports face is visibility, and none of these flaws are going to be effectively ironed out until people in positions of power can see that there is an interest and a thirst for women in racing.
If Max wants to be a "feminist icon" and help be the change he wants to see, then the best thing Max can do is turn up to the F1A races, support the drivers and use his large platform to help lobby for the improvements. The worst thing he can do, is offer quotes to journalists that denigrate the foundations being laid.

Really need people to examine why they're so insistent Ed can't read when we have evidence of him being able to do so SINCE SEASON ONE.

This was an "interesting" exhibit. A canebreak rattlesnake, a southern copperhead, and an eastern rat snake all cohabitated at the California Academy of Sciences.
I realize they're in an educational facility and these snakes have overlapping habitats, but I didn't see many places for them to get away from each other and I wasn't impressed by the enclosure size or decor.
This display gave me an uneasy feeling. Hopefully I'm just wrong.

most popular headcanon for impulse: demon / imp of some variety
what demons are famous for: soul dealing (among other things of course but this is the relevant one)
question: did impulse sense/notice something going on when mumbo and grian did the soul thing in hc8?
follow up question: what was his reaction?

No shade to Nadja, but in season 1 Nandor brought Guillermo to a normal hospital after accidentally dropping him and not to a fucked up euthanasia obsessed veterinarian wannabe.
