I'm confidant that Donald will get more love in season 3 since both him and Della are back now with no reason to keep them separated from the main cast again. But consider that by the end of season 2, Della still doesn't know that Donald solely raised the boys during the ten years he and Scrooge were estranged. So it's a high possibility it might get brought up.

Oh god I hope so! I was cool with Donald taking a backseat in the show since Ducktales has always been centered around Scrooge and the boys, but now that Della is getting a center role in the story my inner Donald stan can’t be contained. But I’m still super excited to see where the writers go next season, and the development that the family will go through.

Donald and Della working to find a balance in their parenting styles cause I’m betting there’s gonna be some struggle there

Listen I’ll bet my bottom dollar that the scene where Donald andDella are fighting over whose better suited to steer the ship is foreshadowing

Della asking Donald about the boys’ childhood and suddenly finding herself neck deep in photos and baby videos while Donald gushes and tells a story for each and every one.

Also Donald teasing his boys by gushing and telling embarrassing stories in front of their cool mom

Della finding out how thoroughly Donald adopted the role of tired loving dad in her stead

Donald and Della teaming up to be the best most embarrassingly loving parents ever. And the kids realize they now have two parents that are going to embarrass them by climbing the Grand Canyon display at the supermarket.
