“O strong and deep love of Jesus, like the sea at the flood in spring tides, cover all my powers, drown all my sins, wash out all my cares, lift up my earth-bound soul, and float it right up to my Lord's feet, and there let me lie, a poor broken shell, washed up by His love, having no virtue or value; and only venturing to whisper to Him that if He will put His ear to me, He will hear within my heart faint echoes of the vast waves of His own love which have brought me where it is my delight to lie, even at His feet forever.”

Good Morning
I say good morning to the Land, the Earth Mother, and the Spirits of Nature.
I say good morning to the ancestors of blood, place, and spirit.
I say good morning to the gods, the shining ones that reside in the heavens.
Kin and Kindred, hail and good morning.
Walk with us as we greet another beautiful day.

Morning Devotion for March 13th
Why sit we here until we die? - 2 Kings 7:3
Dear reader, this little book was mainly intended for the edification of believers, but if you are yet unsaved, our heart yearns over you: and we would fain say a word which may be blessed to you. Open your Bible, and read the story of the lepers, and mark their position, which was much the same as yours. If you remain where you are you must perish; if you go to Jesus you can but die. "Nothing venture, nothing win," is the old proverb, and in your case the venture is no great one. If you sit still in sullen despair, no one can pity you when your ruin comes; but if you die with mercy sought, if such a thing were possible, you would be the object of universal sympathy. None escape who refuse to look to Jesus; but you know that, at any rate, some are saved who believe in him, for certain of your own acquaintances have received mercy: then why not you? The Ninevites said, "Who can tell?" Act upon the same hope, and try the Lord's mercy. To perish is so awful, that if there were but a straw to catch at, the instinct of self-preservation should lead you to stretch out your hand. We have thus been talking to you on your own unbelieving ground, we would now assure you, as from the Lord, that if you seek him he will be found of you. Jesus casts out none who come unto him. You shall not perish if you trust him; on the contrary, you shall find treasure far richer than the poor lepers gathered in Syria's deserted camp. May the Holy Spirit embolden you to go at once, and you shall not believe in vain. When you are saved yourself, publish the good news to others. Hold not your peace; tell the King's household first, and unite with them in fellowship; let the porter of the city, the minister, be informed of your discovery, and then proclaim the good news in every place. The Lord save thee ere the sun goes down this day.

Fear’s Power to Inhibit Our Walk with God
If you’re a Christian, chances are that you know the story of the first sin very well. God tells Adam and Eve not to eat of the tree, the serpent tempts Eve with the fruit, she eats it and shares it with Adam. They’ve sinned. It’s the start of our world’s downward spiral into despair, turmoil, sadness, death, fear. This last point – fear – is something I hadn’t really paired together with this first sin story before because of the subtlety of how it’s written, but it’s actually quite a crucial learning point for us in the story:
So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food and that it was a delight to the eyes and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate. Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked, and they sewed fig leaves together and made loincloths for themselves. They heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden at the time of the evening breeze, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. But the Lord God called to the man and said to him, “Where are you?” He said, “I heard the sound of you in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked, and I hid myself.” Genesis 3:6-10, NRSV
Did you catch it? Adam and Eve were afraid to walk with God. And instead, they hid themselves away from Him. Normally, before their sin, they wouldn’t fear God coming to find them to walk with them in the cool of the evening, because fear simply didn’t exist. Sin hadn’t happened yet. But after sin... they experienced fear and let it lead their thoughts and actions. And it affected their relationship with God.
The main takeaway for me today is that fear can inhibit our walk with God – sometimes literally, in the case of Adam and Eve. We need to be careful how we deal with fear. That’s not to say that we should minimize fear or simply choose not to acknowledge the scary things in life. But while there are many fearful things in this world that we cannot escape, it’s how we deal with those fearful things – and those fearful feelings that creep in – that will either strengthen or weaken our walk with God. We can choose to either trust in Him to see us through or we can choose to doubt His abilities.
There are lots of accounts of “fear not” throughout the Bible. Today, let’s take that command to heart and choose not to let that fear take hold. By letting fear manifest, all we’re doing is inhibiting our walk with our Creator. Instead, let’s choose to strengthen our walk with God by trusting in Him to see us through whatever we are facing. We just may see that those fearful things aren’t so fearful after all.

Grace
Grace is a gift.
Why?
Because it is given to the recipient whether he or she deserves it.
It is not a reward that requires merit. It is not something that we can earn according to our own righteousness, but only through the righteousness imputed by Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21, Philippians 3:9). If we believe in Jesus Christ and what He did for us, we are saved by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Grace offers us an opportunity to be sons and daughters of the one true living God. To be able to call out to our Father, “Abba!” and have a relationship with Him, no longer separated by sin. Grace is the difference between approaching the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16) with confidence and preparing animal sacrifices with shame.
Grace is freedom from the Law (Romans 7:6).
Grace is what saves us. The Law is what shows us how filthy, sinful, and imperfect we are by nature.
The gentle urgings of grace towards righteousness is more effective in reaching the “unreachable” than the stern, accusatory bark of the Law.
Don’t be confused, though. Grace is not an excuse to sin. In fact, it encourages us to do better. All we have to do is truly recognize the scandalous nature of God’s gift. How it accepts, and even searches for us when we’ve gone astray. It’s the arms that warmly embraces the prodigal son, a proper disgrace in society’s eyes, after excitedly running over to greet him. It’s the Shepherd that won’t stop looking for the lost sheep, even if the rest of the ninety-nine are safe. It’s the scale that is far more concerned with equality than justice.
That being said, the tenderness and fondness a Creator would ought to have for His creation to understand the consequences of such a gift, and give it anyway -- that’s enough to stop anyone in their tracks. Well, at least anyone in need of grace.
Grace is what allures the sick and condemned to the place of healing. That includes the prostitutes, homosexuals, and convicts. The critical, exclusive nature of the Law is what bars them out.
The Law is what nailed Jesus to the cross. Grace is what exonerates us from that same fate.
I choose the gift that was so necessary, it required the ultimate sacrifice: the blood of my Savior, hung on a cross.
What do you choose?

In the morning will you hear my voice, Psalms Chapter 89
Psalms 89:20 I have found David, my servant; with my holy oil I have anointed him, 21so that my hand shall be established with him; my arm also shall strengthen him. 22 The enemy shall not outwit him; the wicked shall not humble him. 23 I will crush his foes before him and strike down those who hate him. Can Sinful Karma Be Destroyed By Devotion ?
Tumblr media
Myth : Since the beginning , it is the belief that sinful Karma cannot be destroyed by devotion. One has to suffer due to it.
FACT : On the contrary, in Yajurved Adhyay 8 Mantra 13, it is very clearly mentioned that God can forgive sins.

✨ June 22, 2023
I enjoyed looking at this tree. It amazes me how God can be this intricate in creating this tree.
It took me from where I sat and made me see in its perspective. I am like a tree—growing. The small details are the small struggles I’m facing. Its as if I’m also growing a branch and leaves when I’m pushed out of my comfort zone. It’s foreign and I may not welcome the changes.
But the hope is that my Gardener is God. The Sovereign, Beautiful, and Risen God. Why else do I need to be afraid, when all this is His plan, power, and grace?
So, love Him in surrender, obedience, and trust.
