The Universe's Being pt.2

The divine part did not like how cold their other half was, and was staring at Death with a very cold look, but Death wasn't phased in the slighest as he had expected this to happen. Everyone there knew that the storm couldn't last forver as it would soon destroy the planet, so a comprise was made. the divine half would stop the storm, and would get their other half back, but the catch was that the mortal half could not remember anything and had to be reincarnated. If something interferes with the reincarnation in anyway, then the mortal half's life would be exteremly bad that life. Everyone agreed to this and the divine half stopped the storm on the now light blue water planet and the mortal half glowed and dissapeared, going into their next life. The divine half then glowed and dissapeared, following their other half, leaving an egg with gems on it in their place as a place where they could rest if there is no life filled planet for them to reincarnate on. The first lives where nice, but the Void got curious one day and messed with the Universe's reincarnation cycle and it caused the mortal half to be horribly injured and evenutally die a horrible death, but it is also caused the divine half to go insane and start harming people. But the touch of the Void does not go away easily, as this cycle continued for many of the Universe's lives, and eventually stopping on one life, but the trauma from the lives were still there, even if the mortal half did not remember it and insanity cannot be reversed. this left the mortal half without a smile and the divine half with a cold look....

How Do You Do, Fellow Humans?

Now, Fright Knight is a very experienced ghost. He's served millennia, gone through the whole ordeal that was Pariah Dark, tolerated the Observants, and generally has a large area of competence.

But perhaps he should expand his skillset.

As he was guarding an outing of the Royal family, his Queen had inquired of his pastimes. He had answered with his duties.

"I mean, you should definitely get out some more, dude. Chill a bit. Not in the Far Frozen sense."

The Princess had agreed, saying that traveling would be quite the eye opening experience for him

His Queen assured him that the royal family could suffice without his presence "for a year or two, just make sure to visit."

So the Knight of Autumn sets out to find a mortal settlement that will work. He comes across Gotham City and its respective city spirit, Lady Gotham. She graciously invites him in, and he vows to remember her contribution. She merely gives an amused smile.

Within Gotham City, Fright Knight comes across a mortal woman controlling plant life, and even if subconsciously, follows her due to the familiarity to another ghost the Queen had "known."

She has a rendezvous with another mortal woman, and they go inside a house/haunt that radiates their love. Fright Knight stands outside of it for a week straight, attempting to deduce a way for him to meet them.

Harley, on the other hand, had just opened the door at like, 2:48 in the morning and her hyenas shoot straight out the door and around the house, barking. They jump around the legs of- a giant suit of armor? Really? Just staring at the wall, is it?

Gotham, truly, is delightful.

Cardan not going after Jude during her exile always makes me cry because the only reason he wasn’t is because he wanted to respect her wants and autonomy so bad. He didn’t want to make her come back if she didn’t want to, didn’t look for her because he genuinely believed Jude would come back if she wanted to be found. And again it’s just so in-character of him to automatically think she’s just found something better than him because no one ever willingly picked and stayed with him when they had a choice so why would she?

It’s just… it is everything that Cardan thought Jude would notice his “SO OBVIOUS” exile riddle and thinks Jude to not hesitate to come back. Beside his certainty of her cleverness to piece the riddle together, he believed he was that clear about his feelings toward her; he had thought she absolutely ought to know how he feels for her.

Like oh buddy. BUDDY. Your wife had thought of the answer to your little riddle like you thought she would. But guess what? She has detrimental TRUST ISSUES. (Like… Ur super mean and hot, I can’t blame her.) Anyway.. it’s SUPER adorable of him to so wholeheartedly believe she wouldn’t question his trust. It reveals so much about his pov of thier relationship.

Jude thought Cardan’s (silly) trick was a (vile) trick, when it was simply a: “Im trying to impress/pay you back in kind with our romantic metaphorical sparring and eventually get you out of political drama for a bit,” trick.

I’m fucking laughing wow these delusional ass children I fucking love them.

The Universe's being

The Universe is a mysterious thing that most cannot being to comprehend. Most only see the vastness of space, the stars and planets, or even the night sky. the truth is, the universe is bigger than anyone can ever imagine. the universe is constantly expanding and evolving, creating new life that humans will likely never see in their lifetime. But have you ever thought about what the universe felt? They are a massive being of immense power and size, their beauty cannot be comprehended, so how could anyone actually understand how they feel? Do they feel lonely? Sad? Angry? The answer to these questions, are all of these and more. The Universe cannot truly interact with their family, being forced to watch them through their many eyes and only being able to speak with them in their minds. Most don't think about this as they see the Universe as a powerful being that should be feared and respected, and while that is true, the Universe wishes that they could be like the life they spawned. They want to be able to interact with people and experience emotions like happiness and love, and seeing the good and bad of life. Then the Universe had an idea. Why not split themselves into two beings? Their mortal part, which would be the one to see the life they made first hand, and the divine part, which would watch over the mortal half and help them grow. So with a determined glint in their many eyes and a heavy heart, they split themselves into two while being able to make sure the two could fuse back together into them should the need arise. The other deities felt a shift in the universe and wasn't sure what it was....but the Void knew. The Void always does, as it is equal in power and strength to the Universe. The mortal half and the divine half quickly went to the first life filled planet and over the course of 20 years, made the life on that planet better, spreading peace...but while the divine half knew not of a mortals life and how short their lifespans were, the mortal half did know. that was their job after all, to experience life. So while the divine stayed young, the mortal got old, white hairs and wrinkles appearing on their once youthful face. They were not scared at all, they had accepted this, and when it was time for Death to collect them, they put up no fight and went with them willingly....but the divine half felt their other half leave their domain of life and enter the domain of death, and they couldn't handle it and started a storm that lasted for years. The one thing the Universe didn't account for was how their emotions would react should the other leave or dissapear. The mortal half gave the divine half their emotions, while the divine half gave the mortal half logical thinking. So when the mortal half left the realm of the living, the divine half couldn't feel anything, only being an empty husk. The mortals living on the planet did not know what was happening as the storm had suddenly appeared and had not intention of stopping anytime soon, so they prayed to the other gods in hopes of sancuary or that someone could stop this massive storm that was raditating pure power. The other gods did try to stop the storm by throwing their own power at it, but it only made the storm worse and more powerful. Death was getting overwhelmed with all of these new souls arriving and speaking of a powerful storm that would not stop and would soon swallow the planet whole. The mortal half was helping Death with the souls, but Fate and Destiny had other plans. The two pridmordial dieties grabbed both halves of the Universe's soul and brought them to the metting place of the Ethereal's, as well as grabbing Death, Reincarnation, Chaos, and some other dieties. The divine part, seeeing their other half safe and sound, was flooded with relief as their emotions briefly returned. The mortal half, smiled at their other half and brought them into a hug.
