Got my necklace from @mossofthewoodsjewelry! I’d been hoping to get a piece for a while and finally found a good opportunity. While the flower- bird’s foot trefoil- is less yellow in person than in the sale photo, that’s understandable. It’s a flower, after all.

It’s bigger than I expected, and seems very sturdy! I love how it catches the light and I can’t wait to wear it.

I ordered this beautiful nightshade pendant from @mossofthewoodsjewelry and I was super happy to find it waiting in the mailbox for me today. I still need to figure out how to put up my hair so that I can wear the nightshade hairpins, but I’m happy to finally have a new piece to go with them.

Best gift this year was a random afterthought from my dad’s wife. She apparently didn’t know I could sew until today, and then just handed over her 1950s Singer. Its the most amazingly atrocious robins-egg blue and I’m in love.

Also some gifts to myself this year, a shawl pin from etsy and a preserved flower necklace from Tumblr’s own @mossofthewoodsjewelry. I am apparently going whole-hog on the solarpunk/witch aesthetic now that I can crochet, lmao.

Almost never will I cross promote from this blog to my other blogs, but for those of you interested I wanted to briefly say on my jewelry blog @mossofthewoodsjewelry​ I’m running a special campaign in which I’ve made some grave moss necklaces, 100% of the proceeds for which will go to Black Lives Matter.

I’m sorry I haven’t done anything particularly special for the cause on this blog - I thought seriously about selling prints for charity, and may still, but so far need to pace myself or I’m going to quickly bite off more than I can chew and burn out. I just wanted to direct those of you who only read this blog to a way to support.
