More Sonic Warrior Cats as a treat!! Here's the leaders and deputies for each of the Colonies!

Thunder Colony- Snapstar (conceptually a weird mixture of a lot of antagonists) and Quartzscratch (Fang the Hunter).

River Colony- Kindledstar (Blaze) and Tallshadow (Shadow).

Wind Colony- Mossystar (Train Conductor from TMoStH) and Hollyberry (Barry the Quokka)

Finally, Shadow Colony- Copperstar (conceptually based off of the bullies from Sonic Origins) and Adderstike (A single mom who works two jobs who loves her kids and never stops).

if mossfrog is made deputy/leader someday (which is what i'm sincerely hoping for), should he leader name by mossystar or frogstar? because mossstar looks weird

on poppyfeather being vengeful now: super interesting! if i had to come up with a reason for her change of heart (?), i'd say it's been a steady progression from when henryclaw died. the war with shallowclan really brought out this vengeful side of hers.

i feel like she's still outwardly calm and laid back, but unbeknownst to those around her, she holds GRUDGES. considering henryclaw was found dead near the archclan borders and shallowclan actually declared war on fallenclan, maybe poppyfeather is resentful/dislikes the other clans? maybe whenever she's in a patrol near another clan she intentially antagonizes them.

does she have any enemies in fallenclan?

i didn't even think about that, Mossstar does look weird lol. i'd probably go for Mossystar if I did choose her

as for Poppyfeather--Henryclaw being a part of her turning vengeful is a super interesting concept. maybe some truths came to light and it turned out that Shallowclan had something to do with his death? idk!

she does have a couple of cats that she dislikes more than she likes. in order of most to least disliked, Mudsplash, Ospreypaw, Fruitbeam, and Applebranch, though the dislike doesn't even get up to two bars for any of the cats except Mudsplash. idk why she dislikes Mudsplash so much tho! i might have to have Owlscreech mediate them a little lmao

I’m on like moon 500 and because of my whole “mostly descendants of Mossystar becoming leaders thing” most cats in the clan are related to Mossystar through blood or adoption—I try not to think too hard about that…

The first drawing is all of the founders, the second is Mossystar’s daughter and her mate, and the third is many many moons later (I’m planning on making stormspeck the next leader)

mossystar + hawksong

From birth, Mossystar knew that she was built for greatness. Her mother had whispered it in her and Hawksong at the time merely Hawkkits ears, promising that power would fall into their paws like leaves from a tree. After all, they where the child of the deputy, and what was better than that?

And so, Mossypaw had known that training was below her. And so she treated it as such. She skirted by on doing the bare minimum, bringing back just enough prey to be respected. 

And so, Hawkkit asked to be a medicine cat. And as Hawkpaw, she did her job well. She decided that she did not want power to fall into her paws, she wanted to grab it for herself, feel the thrill of the win.

And so, Mossypaw became Mossypelt. A completely average name, nothing special.

And still, Hawkpaw became Hawksong, a name that spoke to who she was,  a name that showed off her hard work.

That didnt keep Mossypelt from becoming deputy though. Her father (now the leader) gave her the first apprentice he could, and not soon after she became deputy. 

She fumbled on her deputy dutys, but Hawksong stepped up. She sat by her sisters side, and confidently announced patrols. When tensions in the clan were high, Hawksong soothed them and lead the daily prayer. 

Hawksong shined, and she became one of the most respected cats in the clans, she lived on in stories long past her death.

Mossystar rose in ranks, and her name was forgotten soon after she was gone.

Mossystar-Dark brown torbie and white she-cat with dark yellow eyes and a notched ear. Also has a scar along her back. Is a senior leader. (107 moons) -2/9 lives-

Deputy;

Badgerspeck-Golden tom with a white belly/paws/chest/muzzle and ears. He has darker golden speckles along his flank and a twisted back paw from a badger. Also has a 2 scars side-by-side on his muzzle. A middle-aged warrior.(38 moons)

Medicine cat(s);

Shatteredwish-A sleek, pure black, long-limbed tom with a long muzzle and tail and small paws. He has a shred ear and a scar right next to his right eye along with a white speck on his nose. He is an older medicine cat, around 80 moons.

Mothpetal-A fluffy tab tabby and light faced she-cat with blue eyes and a stubby body. She has bright white paws and tail-tip along with 1 white ear. Also has dark dapples. Daughter of Badgerspeck and Cloudysky. Very young(19 moons)

 (Also, thank you so much for your patience in my response…I wrote a bunch of stuff at first but then abandoned it haha)

I have so many inspirations when it comes to my art… Adventure Time would be a big one. It’s the first cartoon that made me want to make cartoons!! I always love simple character designs since they are communicate so so much through very little. Stuff like AT, Portal 2, FLCL, and Bitey of Brackenwood got me kickstarted into loving storytelling and animation when I was in 5th grade. 

I also can’t go on without mentioning Over the Garden Wall…such a specific and atmospheric cartoon that I absolutely adore. I hope more cartoons lean towards the earthy, dark, textured colors of OTGW in the future! Color is such an important and specific part of storytelling. 

It’s hard to list all of the things that have inspired me over the years….I think I’d have a 2000 page exigesis if I listed everything that inspired me during my life. I’ll list a few things that I’ve watched recently/artists that I love that are inspiring me right now!

However, I think the main thing that is inspiring me right now to make work is finding ways to feel happy and inspired by my own drive and the things I want to share with others. It’s taken me quite a while to figure it out. 

During middle school and high school, I was a very shy kid with very low self esteem… I didn’t really value myself and my own ideas so much as making other people happy. People walked all over me and teased me a whole lot. Even so, I always held on to my love to create– making animatics for class, writing comics, and creating my own stories – which really saved me during high school! 

However, even though I made my own stuff, I felt like I was in a fishbowl. Everything felt dictated by my environment. This summer after high school, I was especially plagued with self doubt about my abilities and what I wanted to do. Could I ever be proud of myself? Am I making the right choices? It really sucked- I felt the most depressed I had ever felt in my life.

However, now that I’ve started the first weeks of college, I’ve developed a frame of mind that’s been pushing me forward. Instead of letting my life/self worth be dictated by outside forces like school, work, and other people’s egos, I want my work to make *me* happy! Taking the pressure off my shoulders and taking everything day by day with a gung-ho attitude has really made me feel better. Instead of devaluing myself to boost others up, I’m making an effort to value my own voice and support those around me– to have fun! I still battle with self doubt (everyone does,) but it’s really been making a difference to try to make MYSELF happy.

ANYWAYS….! Making stories that are personal, funny, and heartfelt is what I love to do, and there are so many different pieces of media that inspire me to do that. Animation is the absolute best and I love it. I’ll have to make a masterpost of my fav pieces of media someday!

Look forward to more content in the future. I have some big stuff planned ..

If last moon wasn't enough Mossystar pulled a Bluestar died protecting her Clan from the dogs she thought Apricotdew and the other warriors had successfully driven off. Turtletooth traveled to receive his nine lives, choosing Mangodream as his deputy, an interesting choice considering she has just given birth to a single kit with Songfreckle.

Leafspeck has also died, from a broken bone.

Hey hey! I may have checked in a bit late, I was wondering if I could still be apart of this ^^’

If you are an artist and still want to participate, you can absolutely still check in now. I can allow late check-ins on this one because we’re still getting started.

But for the next two check-ins--the writer summary submission(May 10th) and the artist summary selections(May 18th)--there can be NO late submissions. At that point there are others depending on you getting your check-ins finished on time.

If a writer does not submit a summary, they’ll be dropped from the challenge.

If an artist does not submit their summary selections, they’ll be randomly assigned where needed(keeping any trigger requests in mind).
