R Vil Schoenheit Beastly Garb Personal Story
"I completely regret thinking that!"
Tumblr media
[Sunset Savanna – Sunset Villa]
Leona: Yaaaawn…
Vil: Good morning, Leona. You've taken your sweet time waking up. I've been waiting.
Leona: You've been waiting?
Vil: Are you still half-asleep? I'll have you do your job as our tour guide once more today.
Leona: Hah? Your guide? I already did enough of that yesterday.
Vil: Wow. You said you'd "provide quality hospitality," but was that it?
Leona: I even brought you to the specially reserved section of the Elephant Legacy hot spring… You saying there's more you want to do?
Vil: Of course. I came all this way to the Sunset Savanna and applied my UV protection perfectly.
Vil: …Well, if you'd like to take it all back, I don't mind.
Vil: However, in that case, I'll no longer be obligated to participate in Catch the Tail.
Leona: …Tch, fine. May I enquire as to what the great Vil Schoenheit-sama would like to see?
Vil: Oh, you would actually consider what I would like to do? If that's the case, then I would like to request a tour focused on beautification.
Leona: Beautification, huh… Then you should go to the beauty salon here at the hotel.
Leona: Their body treatments made from the plants found here in Sunset Savanna are pretty well known.
Vil: I see… I just looked it up, and it seems to have a wonderfully soothing effect on the skin as well.
Vil: Yesterday, I was running around outside all day, so I would love to focus on self-care today. I'll head there now.
Tumblr media
Vil: Fufu, how is it? Do you not think my already beautiful self has gotten even more beautiful?
Leona: Yeah, yeah. Good for you.
Vil: I'm curious about the black soap that they used during the treatment. There wasn't much of a lather, and the scent wasn't too terrible.
Vil: The salon at the hotel didn't have any to provide me… Can it be bought anywhere?
Leona: So you want that black soap next. …There's a store I know. Follow me.
Tumblr media
[Sunset Savanna – Sunrise City]
Leona: This beauty store here in the heart of Sunrise City deals with orders from the royal household.
Vil: Oho. This seems promising.
Vil: Skin care items made from plants grown in such a sunny region tend to be very invaluable, since they have a greater moisturizing effect.
Vil: In addition, there are many products that help in clearing the skin here… I wonder which one should I get. It's so difficult to decide.
Leona: Isn't this the black soap thing you were talking about earlier?
Leona: It's made of 100% natural plant products that are native to Sunset Savanna.
Leona: The black coloring seems to come from the ash of burned banana peels. Other ingredients include palm oil and cacao pods.
Vil: Bar soap like this usually gives a soft feel after washing. It's nice to use for delicate dry or sensitive skin.
Vil: I'm sure that I'll be exposed to a lot of UV rays during today's match, so… I should definitely purchase this soap.
Vil: These other skin care products are also all natural cosmetics. This country sincerely does put a lot of emphasis on nature.
Leona: ‘Cause they can't think of anything else to use. …There's other stores that have cosmetics you can take a look at. Once you finish paying, I'll take you to the next one.
Vil: …Despite all his protests, he's doing a pretty good job escorting me around to suit my likes.
Vil: Fufufu, it's not too terrible a feeling using Leona like this.
Tumblr media
[Sunset Savanna – Market]
Leona: The stuff that's sold in the Raintree Market are mostly lower cost.
Leona: That store over there has merch made from wild plants like rooibos and baobab.
Vil: They have body lotion, oil, shower gel… Ah, and also lip balms.
Leona: In the next store over, they sell solidified resin. That's a natural fragrance that's been used here forever.
Vil: What an unusual shape. It smells smoky and spicy. And yet at the same time, it has a sweet aroma, like fruit.
Leona: If you want fragrances, they also sell a ton of essential oils.
Vil: I see resin perfumes, as well as herbal and citrus fragrances… There really are a plethora of different products.
Vil: There's much more variety here than I expected. I may run out of time if I try to examine them all.
Storekeep A: Hey, isn't that the top model Vil Schoenheit?
Storekeep B: You're right! I hear if he uses your product, sales just go through the roof!
Storekeep C: VIL-SAN! PLEASE TAKE THIS! THERE'S NO NEED TO PAY FOR IT!
Vil: W-Wait! I make it a point to not accept these kinds of things!
Vil: Leona, you say something too.
Leona: Hey, lucky you, you're so popular.
Leona: You should get the storekeepers to show you around now. I'm gonna head back to the hotel. See ya.
Vil: LEONA!!!
Vil: That man… He ran away as soon as it got troublesome! I completely regret thinking that he was even the slightest bit reliable!
Tumblr media
[Pomefiore Dorm – Lounge]
Vil: …was something that occurred there.
Epel: Oh wow. I'm... a little surprised that Sunset Savanna had so much make-up for sale?
Rook: Sunset Savanna's beauty brings such joy and grace to everyone, yes.
Rook: Fufu, I'm so pleased that Vil was able to see just how wondrous that country is.
Vil: Ah, that's right. Since the two of you invited yourselves to my room like this, I'll give you a special gift.
Epel: I mean, we all got a souvenir from the Elephant Legacy hot springs earlier with everyone else in the dorm, though…
Vil: This is separate from that. I'll prepare it right away, so wait right there.
Rook: Merci, Vil! I cannot wait!
Epel: What does he mean he's going to prepare it…? Is it some kind of cosmetic he's making? What should I do if he starts a lecture on how to use it…?
Tumblr media
Vil: Sorry to keep you waiting. Here you go, a specially-made smoothie from me made from fruits bought in Sunset Savanna.
Epel: …Eh, a smoothie?
Vil: In order to cultivate beauty, it is just as important as taking the right nutrition from the inside as well. That's why I bought an abundance of fresh fruit as well.
Vil: A vitamin-rich smoothie is not only good for a beauty regimen, but also for your health.
Vil: Enjoy.
Epel: Wow! Thank you very much! [gulp, gulp] …It's so good!
Rook: There's mango and papaya in this, I see. C'est bon!
Vil: As for the Catch the Tail match, it was a shame that I wasn't able to perform as I had hoped, but…
Vil: Other than that, I was able to refresh myself and have a bit of fun. From the perspective of a beauty-focused trip, I suppose it wasn't as bad as it could have been.

Vera Analysis
Vera was born in Grasse, France. This was a town where originally tanning flourished in the 16th century, but it dies out eventually. This was in part due to competition with Nice, France, but also because they switched to focusing on perfume later.
Perfume or “perfumus” in Latin means “through smoke”.
Tanning left a strong stench, and due to complaints, it became fashionable to have scented gloves. Grasse produced the aroma oils that were put into the leather gloves, and slowly their reputation as a perfume hub increased.
Eventually there was a surge in demand for high quality fragrances, leading to perfume workshops being built and artisans known as “noses” or perfumers being employed who could blend and refine scents. These were people with a natural aptitude for scent, highly trained, finely tuned olfactory abilities as well knowledge of fragrance materials.
It took time for the perfume industry to rebound after the French Reign of Terror, which an emphasis on personal cleanliness around that time helped with. Napolean himself actually encouraged the cultivation of flowers for fragrances, leading to creation of flower fields around Grasse. Flowers sent to Paris were used to create luxury perfumes for the French elite.
The 1st of 3 large perfumeries in Grasse was Galimard in 1747, with Molinard, the 2nd, founded in 1849 (the 3rd was Fragonard, built in 1926). More factories appeared with time, especially with new processes found to absorb scent molecules. In 1850, there were about 45, but by 1875 there were 65. There were also 3 types of factories: plant growers, flower brokers, and manufacturers.
Victorian ladies weren’t known for wearing excessive fragrances. At least initially, the belief was that perfumes should be so “delicate” and so “lingeringly fragrant” that no one could define it as more than the “ghost of a sweet scent”. Anything too strong or overly-lavish was associated with people like prostitutes. Back then, perfumes were generally simpler, consisting mostly of florals and botanicals. They also didn’t apply perfume to the skin, instead using it on gloves, handkerchiefs, clothing, and cosmetics. A predominant scent back then was Eau de Cologne, which was a sharp clean scent that cut through other smells, though it was later surpassed by Bergamont and lemon oil.
Queen Victoria’s scent was the orange blossom. She also loved violets, which were popular in Victorian toiletries.
The focus on singular scent fragrances (smell of a single flower) changed by the end of the 19th century. There were several reasons for this. Raw materials started to be imported from abroad, helping reduce prices, as well as caused Grasse to focus on perfume production rather than flower fields and growing. Another reason was the improvement to the techniques they used. The discovery of solvent extraction techniques allowed for the extraction of fragrant oils without damaging the essence of delicate flowers and enabled the creation of more intricate and nuanced fragrances. The 19th century was when synthetics were 1st made and used. Houbigant and Guerlain were the first to use synthetic products: Fougère royale in 1884, Jicky in 1889, which are considered the 1st modern perfume. Finally, due to synthetic perfumes becoming cheaper to make, wealthy ladies wanted more complex, unique, and as yet unsynthesized perfumes to distance themselves from the lower class.
Going back to Vera, the “Vera” we know in game, the perfumer, is actually Chloe Nair. The real Vera Nair was Chloe’s twin sister.
Chloe herself was initially a timid girl, the type who was easily frightened and lacking in self-confidence, but the 1 person she felt happy with was her twin, Vera, the only person who truly understood Chloe. Unlike Chloe, Vera was cheerful and confident. Despite their differences, they were extremely close and did almost everything together.
Tumblr media
But she was the only one.
Adults in their hometown of Grasse, France unfortunately often compared the 2, in a judgmental, self-righteous way. So, it was no surprised they essentially labeled Chloe, who started working and experimenting with perfumes from a young age, as the negative, weird one who “only seemed to know fragrance” and how to make perfumes, while Vera was the “elegant and flattering beauty” popular with the townspeople. As a result of Chloe’s nervous and unlikeable character, they alienated the more fragile of the 2 sisters, which led Chloe to becoming increasingly negative, sensitive, and suspicious. Seeing just how popular her twin was in comparison probably reduced her own self-confidence further.
Tumblr media
Despite how much this hurt Chloe and worsened the outlook she had on herself and others, and despite how much the residents loved Vera, Vera’s opinion of Chloe differed from everyone else. She knew the truth of just how skilled Chloe was with perfumes, and just how deep her knowledge was of them. Chloe’s skills were supported by her superior sense of smell and sensitivity to scents, which she saw as each “[telling] a story of nature”.
Tumblr media
Not even the rest of Chloe’s family supported her though, as Craig Nair, the “Family Store Manager” (potentially her father, but we can’t be completely sure) told her “If you want your work to have a chance to appear in front of others, you need to cease your weird and comical endeavors”.
Tumblr media
The title of this deduction is “Attempt”, followed by the line “Creativity is never liked before it has been proven successful”. This is a bit confusing as Grasse then was still a perfumery hub back then, so Vera being involved with perfumes at all shouldn’t be a problem.
Based on what we’ve heard about Grasse’s history and the development of perfumery, my best guess to explain Craig’s words is this was when simple scents, for that emphasis on personal cleanliness, were still the most popular, before the desire for more complex fragrances. As I said, there were negative connotations of any scent that was considered too lavish. If Vera was one of those beginning to experiment with something besides single scent fragrances, that could explain why he’d talk about her weird “endeavors”, as well as explain the title being “attempt” and the line about “creativity”.
Complex fragrances, like the deduction say, weren’t “liked” before they were “proven successful”. Craig doesn’t seem the type to want to take risks. He wants to stick with what has always worked. The townspeople are similar, though they also don’t understand how interested Vera is in perfume, or the “stories” tell from each scent. But it’s also possible Vera, least to the townspeople “only seems to know fragrance”, aka she pretty much focused all her time on perfumes, could’ve been more than just because she was interested in it. It’s also possible she leaned into it because it was the 1 thing she was good at, while everyone (likely including Craig) saw her sister as the better one. That or because everyone, especially Craig, never saw her as good enough, so she tried to stand out in the 1 way she knew how.
I think the idea Vera was experimenting with complex fragrances while most others, like Craig, were still focused on single scents could be backed up by deduction 5, which includes the line “Two roses, five parts sandalwood, one part geranium, one part rosewood”. Similarly, Vera had another quote in 2018 that involved multiple ingredients: “The secret formula of love: three sprigs of tuberose, one sprig of jasmine, one sprig of clove, half a sprig of chrysanthemum and hyacinth”.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Going back to deduction 5, we see that the fragrance she was developing there was for her sister. This helps show how close the 2 were, as well as likely how grateful Chloe was for Vera’s support. Vera was Chloe’s lifeline. The 1 person who was “willing to listen, take her seriously, and support her in endeavors that seem strange to others”. Vera was Chloe’s outlet, a way to help keep her sane despite how bad everything else around her was.
Unfortunately, this didn’t last. When Chloe sees the news about Vera opening a new perfume shop, and the admiration and fame she gets from it, Chloe feels betrayed. We can see her anger and her losing control of her emotions by the way the newspaper is described to have been “shredded and pasted together”, as well as how deduction 6 includes the line “Incredible: These should have belonged to me!”.
Tumblr media
Then there’s deduction 7, titled “vengeance”, which also includes the word “resentful”.
Tumblr media
In this same deduction, as well as the next, we essentially learn that Chloe killed her sister (with a dagger) then took her identity. By becoming “Vera”, and taking ownership of the perfume shop the real Vera started, Chloe finally gets the attention and admiration she’s wanted for so long, as we see from deduction 8’s line “So that is what it is like to become the focus of the masses”. Her life now feels like it is finally “on track”.
Tumblr media
To everyone else, Chloe seems to have just “disappeared”, though Chloe doesn’t think anyone cares. It doesn’t matter. “Vera” is enjoying the fame and status brought by stealing her sister’s identity, as we see from the line “there seems to be a disparaging look in her eyes and she is enjoying it”. Chloe is now “Vera”, and her personality changes to fit her new identity, as well as a result of the reputation and admiration she is now getting, as she is now described in the early version of the artbook as “arrogant, hypercritical, and graceful”.
Tumblr media
We don’t see any immediate thoughts or feelings from “Vera” regarding her killing her sister, but we do see her guilt and regret when she learns the truth upon reading the real Vera’s diary. How Vera had started the perfume shop and everything that went along with it to ensure Chloe’s talents wouldn’t be “buried” to “prove to those biased people”. We also learn as part of this diary entry that the reason Vera didn’t tell Chloe in advance or why she was doing this because Chloe was “proud” and “wouldn’t want me helping her this way”.
Tumblr media
Which implies, if not for Chloe’s pride, Vera may have warned Chloe in advance. Or she could’ve just out right asked Chloe more directly if she (Vera) could help.
I at least partially think Chloe’s pride developed similarly to Edgar’s about painting, which was a combination of self-confidence in their skills as well as I think a semi defensive mechanism to help deal with the unhappiness around them (for Chloe this being the way she was looked down on by everyone in town and by her own family besides Vera) as well as try to prevent themselves from being hurt. Unfortunately, by closing yourself off, it also means distancing yourself from those who genuinely care about you, and for Chloe that was Vera. Maybe Chloe and Vera were a bit more distant when they’d grown up, compared to when they were younger. This potentially could’ve contributed to the build up of emotions in Chloe, with the day she made the assumption that her own sister, her last lifeline, had betrayed her, being the metaphorical straw that broke the camels back.
But as deduction 9 says “Not all mistakes can be corrected”. Chloe had made her “choice” by killing “the only person in the world who truly loved her”. Even worse for Chloe is the fact she had gotten used to living as “Vera”, which had given her the chance to finally achieve her desires and receive the compliments and praise from others she had felt she deserved for so long.
Tumblr media
As we see in her 3rd letter, she is described as trying to “escape reality”. This same letter seems to confirm what was likely parts of Chloe’s real personality, as it describes her as “alert and oversensitive” and “mentally fragile”, with the 3rd note, being she “has a conscience” fitting with Chloe’s feelings over killing her sister after she learned the truth. The manor owner states Chloe suffers “something close to a mental breakdown”, which is likely why she wants to forget, but also I think is a term that would fit with how I think Chloe was before. I think Chloe was already close to snapping before she saw her sister start the new perfumery, while her sister’s actions were just the thing to tip her over the edge.
Tumblr media
Vera knows she can’t bring her sister back to life, but she also is unable to deal with the complicated tangle of feelings she now has, which are a mixture of sheer guilt, pain, regret, sadness, and devastation. This all combined with Vera’s happiness at living as “Vera” complicating this mess further. As a result, she seeks to forget what happened. Specifically, she wants to forget that she killed her twin, the real Vera. She gets her chance when she receives a “mysterious perfume recipe from an eccentric black marketer”. Using this recipe, she is able to create “Euphoria”, which is described as “anyone who smells this kind of fragrance will be immersed in it and forget everything. But the second note of the perfume is so short-lived that no matter how much she improves it, it cannot be retained”. So, in her desire to perfect the recipe and make it longer lasting, she heads to the manor, which was wear the recipe had come from.

Skin and hair care, and cosmetics are extremely important to Na'vi, while mostly for hygiene the care is also for aesthetic purposes and as such they have various means of grooming products made from organic materials harvested from Pandora. The Omaticaya combine several ingredients to create serums, balms, and cleansers reminiscent to human shampoos, conditioners, soaps, and lotions. Hair holds a particularly special place among Na'vi in part because it offers protection to their kuru / queue when bound in their long braid, but also because certain styles can be identifiers to their clan roles, positions, and status.
WHAT'S THEIR GO TO SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER COMBINATION?
Neteyam uses a scentless foaming cleanser once every thirteen-fourteen days dependent on necessity. It's a handmade combination of water, leaf and seed oils, and a gelatin type substance for hydration and which strengthens hair follicles. It's relatively easy to make and Neteyam will typically harvest the materials and make the cleanser the same day he uses it.
WHAT OTHER HAIR PRODUCTS DO THEY USE?
He also uses a hair oil and serum to maintain healthy hair and keep his scalp moisturized and hydrated to prevent build-up and hair damage. The serum has a somewhat sweet floral scent as it's crafted from leaf and nut oils, as well as floral nectars. Unlike the cleansers, this handmade product takes a little longer to make and requires more harvesting. Neteyam will usually make a months supply at once.
WHAT KIND OF FRAGRANCES DO THEY USE?
Neteyam will only apply fragrances for special ceremonial or formal events. He's partial to warm, earthy scents with base notes of moss or high grass, finding stronger sweet scents overwhelming or distracting.
WHAT SKIN PRODUCTS DO THEY USE?
He's only taken to using skin balms and lotions since arriving in Awa'atlu, the temperature and atmospheric difference to the jungle causes his skin to become dry and irritated without proper care. He'll use the balm on sensitive areas like his face and ears, and the lotion on his body. Typically he only needs to apply the balm in the morning but needs the lotion at least twice a day depending on weather. The balm and lotions are made from various flower, nut, and seed oils.
HOW DO THEY TREAT THEIR SKIN CONDITIONS?
He doesn't have any skin conditions other than dryness caused by heat.
WHAT'S THEIR GO-TO TOOTHPASTE?
Neteyam trades ingredients and services for a toothpaste provided by a trader in Awa'atlu, it has a slightly sour taste but a fresh scent and foams when you add a bit of sea water to rinse. Prior to Awa'atlu he made his own toothpaste from materials harvested in the jungle.
HOW DO THEY TEND TO THEIR NAILS?
He carves them short with his hunting knife which he cleans afterwards, keeping his nails short and clean to avoid catching on things or causing illness.

fragrance, poison, conspiracy theory for vesper, daichi, and minah
thanks!! // oc ask meme
fragrance: what do your OCs smell like?
VESPER — very very very faintly of a fire. mostly of whatever soaps and lotions josie foists on her. she likes the warmer, spicier scents, but doesn't really know enough about cosmetics and all that to realize that josie is paying attention and adjusting her requisitions accordingly DAI — naturally smells a little rich and earthy (it's the earth genasi thing) and also sliiightly of ozone (it's the lvl 15 cleric thing). he doesn't wear cologne or perfume, but he's grown fond of a specific soap/shampoo (probably one scratch or izzy bought on a whim) that has a kind of winter pine forest thing going on (notes of cedar and spice or whatever) which is understated but nice. he's one of those people that smells really good all the time and doesn't realize it MINAH — one of minah's guilty pleasures is smelling nice. she especially likes lighter smells—citrus or jasmine, a touch of lavender or sandalwood. the first time she got her split of the take with the orchestra, she bought a tiny bottle of some pleasant antivan fragrance. she saves her perfumes for when they're in town—no point wasting it on the road when everything smells like dirt and horse and sweat. (she still has a couple half-empty bottles tucked away with the rest of her makeup kit, but there's not much point in using them these days. mostly she smells like soap when she's had the opportunity for a bath and sweat when they're out traipsing through the summer heat and blood when there's fighting.)
poison: vices/bad habits? what are they? how do they affect your OC?
VESPER — vesper has a tendency to drink, self-flagellate, and overwork herself. she's also pretty good at hiding all of that (except for the overworking, but that's just inquisition life and nothing special). there was a particularly rough period after adamant when all three of these coincided and nobody knew what a mess she was until bull and dorian caught her in a particularly miserable moment and staged an intervention. eventually they got it through her head that she should rely more on her friends, which she does. (she also has a horrible temper, but it's slow to explode and she's gotten much better at channeling it productively, like towards blowing up enemy combatants.) DAI — he's got just a bit 🤏 of a martyr complex, but it's not nearly as strong or self-destructive as it used to be. he also tends to be inflexible in his morals and his opinions about what's right and wrong, but that's also been vastly improved. probably he could talk about his feelings more, but all in all he's doing much better than before! MINAH — besides the thieving, minah's biggest bad habit is avoidance. she's very good at it and has no desire to change. she keeps everyone at a pleasant arm's length, refuses to talk about or think about anything personal, and fakes it til she makes it. she's gotten very good at faking it; she's still working on the making it part
conspiracy theory: what are your OC’s beliefs? are they skeptics or do they believe easily? who acts on blind faith? who needs to see to believe?
VESPER — vesper was raised devout and had a crisis of faith in her teens that has resulted in a mild skepticism that generally comes across as curiosity. while she's lost most faith in the chantry's teachings, she's seen too much of the fade and the oddities of magic to brush off myths as being only fanciful tales. it's not blind faith so much as considerate faith—she'll believe her own eyes and her own judgement, even when the conclusion is something that seems impossible. she knows from her own personal experience there's way more going on than what the stories tell (and she's always interested in learning more) DAI — what's funny is that despite being an incredibly devoted cleric of one god and paladin of another, he's a bit of a skeptic. he's generally disinclined to believe in other people deities (in a faith or trust sort of way, not in an "other gods exist" sort of way; obviously there are other gods out there and he's met (and made) a few). he needs proof to back his believing; faith for him is very much a measured, considered thing and he's not one to be blindly faithful of anyone or anything, even his own god(s). MINAH — was also raised devout and had a bit of a falling out with the church, by which I mean she made a 180˚ swing into aggressive skepticism and distrust of belief as a whole. chantry, cult, elvhen pantheon, she doesn't care, she won't believe unless she can see concrete proof with her own eyes. one of her fun distrusting quirks.

How do you imagine Sukuna's scent? Does he concern himself with that? Like chooses his shampoos/soaps/cosmetics/etc specifically based on scent? Or are those just meant to serve a function like make him clean and he doesn't care beyond that? Does he use cologne/perfume?
And is it a consistent hc or does it change depending on au?
That's such a good question!! Thank you for sending this <3<3 It really changes depending on the AU I imagine him in!
When I think of historical Sukuna, I imagine him to smell like incense and oils. That's also what I imagine canon Sukuna (King of Curses, human form and true form) to smell like! I love to imagine him living in his Buddhist shrine and having Uraume function as his personal servant who ensures Master Sukuna only gets the best oils to put into his bath and hair.
When I write modern Sukuna, he is usually a rich guy, so my Yakuza Sukuna + Dilf Sukuna + CEO Sukuna all smell the same in my mind. He uses expensive products for his skin and hair and smells like luxury brand perfume and expensive hair products. His perfume is a bit woodsy and sensual but not too heavy. He smells SEXY and classy. You might also catch a faint smell of blood on Yakuza Sukuna sometimes, depending on how his day at work went lol. And I like to imagine that modern Sukuna uses cherry-blossom-scented shampoo just because I like that, and it reminds me of his pink hair.
In my Zombie Apocalypse AU Sukuna is just a former college student on the run and fighting for his life, so he doesn't really carry skincare and haircare products with him. He smells clean after bathing in a lake or showering in the makeshift shower he built, but he doesn't have any cologne with him. So mostly, he smells like leather and sweat (good-smelling sweat lol). But reader thinks he always smells like cherry blossoms too. That's only her imagination, though, because Sukuna is her hope in this hopeless world, and his hair makes her think of cherry blossoms in the park back when she still lived a carefree and safe life. It's pretty romantic to me that she thinks she can smell cherry blossoms on him <3
My modern boyfie Sukuna and College AU Sukuna smells of fresh cologne and cigarette smoke, and yes, he also uses cherry blossom shampoo ;) Barista Sukuna smells like that too, but his clothes also have a faint coffee smell that never seems to go away.

2024 trend forecast ! Beauty
mostly what I WISH would happen, or maybe my psychic powers help me foresee the future?🧞‍♀️
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So starting off with #1
Powder lip liner ??
Tumblr media
Hear me out.
Lip lining NEVER left, i just think there’s a gap in the market for a viral liner.. that’s all
So let’s fill it in :) 😜
lol I say lip powder because it’s easy to blend, plus it already trends in Asian beauty so, easy guess.
Another guess is a BLEND-ABLE lip-stain liner cz I just want it!
Moving on, #2
perfume body butters /everything
Tumblr media
CLEARLY this is a want. Sometimes I love a scent, but I don’t wanna be intoxicated by it all day so I grab a mist or a lotion. but a body BUTTER ??? would eatt!! 💞 gimme gimme
Now think: Dior hair mists, jimmy choo candles, YSL body oil. Your favorite luxury scent in a laundry additive or dryer sheet. Maybe a car freshener??
THE GIRLS. WANT. MORE 💎
Now let’s get specific, #3
Pretty green eyeshadow
Tumblr media
I saw it trend for a minute, but then it didn’t. So it’s gonna make a comeback! Cz clean beauty is nice and all, but the y2k girlies are BORED! We need a sexy pop of color.
Also this lip reminds me of the “bunny tongue” trend 🐇🌸💗
Edit: this one DID micro-trend in Jan, but so did all pastel shadows. Let’s see if it makes it for another round
So #4 is pretty obvious...
MORE skincare makeup
Tumblr media
I love serum blushes, tinted lip oils, & of course tinted sunscreen so I think more skincare “makeup” should come out. It’s a great addition to the “no makeup” makeup look we love
And sprinkled in at #5,
(but basically within all the others too)
ANYTHING already trending in k/j/c-beauty
Tumblr media
I mean that’s just typical. I don’t know why we don’t hop onto trends at the same time but shimmer peach blush right under the eye, “is your hair naturally curly?” perms, sheer eyeshadow, body serums & toners (especially w antioxidants like centella).
Or whatever fenty beauty and EM cosmetics are doing cz they stay ahead of the game!!! I swear
Honorable Skincare mentions: bio-cellulose masks (I love Masked Moments), and fermented products (I’m using hada labo), and anything new with Paula’s Choice. That woman knowss somethin!
And in terms of fashion? gurl, I don’t know NOTHIN !! Real talk
Tumblr media
(🎶I’m spinnin like a ballerina 🎶)
Like I’ve been wearing the same low-cut pants in every color like it’s my uniform (I don’t got nowhere to go 😭) but fingers crossed in 2024 I find and do better 🔜
Anyway what are you hoping to see trend this year?
Xoxo
Giselle 💋

my room
the pile of (mostly) french existentialist novels on the floor and windowsill- camus, de beauvoir, sartre, marcel, wright - packed tightly with makeshift bookmarks, notebook annotations shoved between pages, dictionary splayed open next to them for cross-referencing
collection of joan didion and james baldwin novels on my desk - organised by personal preference; thus subject to change on a biweekly basis
the pocket dictionaries for russian, greek, french, korean next to my wallet and keys, because they are totally just as important and necessary
half-burnt matches next to the fake gum cigarettes my friend got me from the george bush museum in the us - it made us laugh when we found them and i kept the package for posterity
greek aorist and latin ablative endings pinned on my walls - scrawled in my horrific slanted writing, barely legible to anyone other than myself
the shrine to mary beard on my bedside table
the bag of cosmetics and skincare products that my grandmother brought me back from seoul - floral scents and cherry blossom perfume my room
scarves and coats thrown haphazardly over armchairs - dark tartans juxtapose the rattan and floral brocade cushions

Printed Label Manufacturers: How To Decode Health & Beauty Labels?
Tumblr media
All companies, regardless of size, must plan their branding and product marketing strategies. The techniques and fashions mostly depend on the kind of industry, the goods and services provided, and other factors. One market category that is well represented by all client categories is health and beauty. When health and beauty goods are properly branded, they attract their intended market by presenting important information in an engaging way. Labelling is a fantastic method to provide the necessary information on these items while also branding them with the appropriate colours, logo, and design. Although the product's production date, ingredients used, best-before date, and other information must be included on a label, you might include additional information in a unique way. But reading health and beauty labels may be intimidating, particularly if they contain a lot of foreign words and symbols. Do you want to learn how to decipher them? This article explains the meaning of a few phrases that are frequently seen on health and beauty labels by Printed Label Manufacturers. Thus, pay attention.
Understanding to Decode Health and Beauty Label
Some common words seen on all health and beauty labels are as follows. Alright, let's examine it.
• Organic: This phrase is frequently applied to brands related to health and beauty. It displays the methods used to cultivate or prepare the substances within. Organic products are basically those that are cultivated without the use of chemical pesticides or fertilisers and are processed without the use of artificial chemicals or preservatives. While items certified as organic have been independently validated as following particular requirements set by regulatory agencies like the USDA, the term "organic" can still be used on labels without certification.
• Cruelty-Free: This descriptor denotes that a product has not undergone animal testing. Although there is no legal definition for this phrase, many businesses have implemented cruelty-free practices and obtained certifications from groups like PETA to demonstrate that their goods were not subjected to animal testing. It is important to remember, nevertheless, that a product's designation as "cruelty-free" does not imply that it is vegan or free of substances derived from animals.
• Hypoallergenic: This designation denotes a product's lower likelihood of triggering an allergic reaction compared to others. Although there is no regulation around this word, it usually indicates that common allergies like scents and certain preservatives have not been included in the product's formulation. It's crucial to remember that certain people might experience adverse responses to even hypoallergenic items.
• Non-Comedogenic: You can frequently see this word on product labels by printed label manufacturers intended for those with oily or acne-prone skin. These products are designed to prevent pore clogging, which can result in outbreaks. Although there is no regulation around the word, it can be useful for persons attempting to prevent product-related outbreaks.
• Paraben-Free: Preservatives known as parabens are frequently found in cosmetics and health care items. Although they work well to stop bacteria and fungus from growing, some research has indicated that they might also negatively affect certain hormone secretions. Because of this, a lot of customers decide to stay away from paraben-containing goods. A product does not include any of these preservatives if it is labelled as "paraben-free." by printed label manufacturers.
• pH: Indicates a product's acidity or alkalinity. The range of the pH scale is 0 to 14. The pH range of products designed for external application is usually 4 to 7.
• SPF: A product's ability to shield skin from UVB radiation is measured by its sun protection factor, or SPF. A product offers more protection the higher its SPF number. An SPF of 15 product, for instance, blocks around 93% of UVB rays, whereas an SPF of 30 product prevents approximately 97% of UVB rays. It's crucial to remember that SPF does not account for UVA radiation, which can potentially harm skin. It only measures protection against UVB radiation.
In the end, the design, quality, and legal information on your health and beauty product labels are quite important if you want them to stand out. The product inside must be compatible with the package and ingredients. The label must also adhere to all FDA regulations. It is crucial to get advice from reputable and skilled health and beauty label designers if you are the owner of health and beauty items. Among its rivals, Prakash Labels is unique. The firm has several years of expertise and focuses on creating and producing health and beauty brands in the United States. In addition, they provide customised health and beauty brands.

Andalou Naturals Purple Carrot + C Luminous Night Cream
Tumblr media
Brand: Andalou Naturals
Product Type: Moisturizer
Price: 28.99 USD
Size: 1.7 fl oz
✔️Cruelty Free  ✔️Sustainable Packaging
Star Ingredients:
Fruit Stem Cells & Bioactive Berry Complex: Protects and soothes skin.
Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate: A more stable form of Vitamin C than Ascorbic Acid. Skin brightener. Antioxidant. Data also shows it can boost collagen synthesis.
Purple Carrot: Rich in anthocyanin antioxidants.
Aloe, Sodium Hyaluronate, Cocoa Butter, Flax, Sunflower, Rosehip, Avocado, Evening Primrose & Squalane Oils: Hydrates.
Rooibos: Brightening.
Texture: Thick Cream
Feel: Quick absorbing, hydrating
Scent: 🌸🌸🌸🌸
All Andalou Naturals products have a pretty strong smell due to the fruit stem cells and bioactive berry complex they use as the base in their formulas. This has a fruity smell very similar to the night cream from Andalou Naturals Age Defying line.
Results: The good thing about Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate (MAP) is that it’s more stable than Ascorbic Acid, and thus better for use in cosmetics. New data shows that it helps in collagen synthesis and as a skin brightener. It’s not clear yet though just how well it converts to AA and absorbs into the skin. So I think the tradeoff here is power vs. stability. If you are looking for change over time, I think this is a good product for you. If you want immediate results, you may want to try something different.
I didn’t have any photosensitivity with this formula, which is a plus. I also didn’t notice any increased skin redness. That being said, it does feel kind of tingly when you first apply it. I kept an eye on it though, and I didn’t see any outward changes that accompanied the tingling, so maybe it has something to do with MAP converting to AA as its absorbed by the skin?
I liked this product. I thought it was effective as a nighttime moisturizer. It didn’t require any additional support for my skin to feel hydrated. I bring that up because sometimes I supplement my moisturizer with a few drops of facial oil. But in this case, I think there are so many ingredients for hydration, it’s really effective.
I cannot speak to longterm benefits, as I only had a deluxe sample, which I used for a couple of weeks. It’s not really a long enough trial to notice if it worked as a skin brightener. I mean, I don’t doubt that it will, but like I said, MAP seems to be an ingredient that will work best over a longer period of time.
Comps: As always, I want to point out that Vitamin C is expensive, mostly because it is so difficult to work with. Options that are lower in price than this product are limited.
Within the same price range and also containing probiotics is Derma-E Vitamin C Renewing Moisturizer and Vitamin C Intense Night Cream. It has the additional brightening power of rooibos. Uses Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate as its form of Vitamin C, which is also a stabilized formulation.
INNBeauty Project Next Level Moisturizer is also within this price range and contains bilberry extract as its source of Vitamin C. It also has niacinamide in it, so this might be a good pick if you want to address skin texture and enlarged pores as well.
Bliss Bright Idea Vitamin C + Tri-Peptide Moisturizer is also a good pick in this price range, and contains collagen-boosting peptides for additional anti-aging power.
Acure has several options for Vitamin C moisturizers. First, check out their Brightening line. It has day cream and night cream options. Secondly, look at the Radically Rejuvenating line, which combines the power of anti-aging ingredients like bakuchiol with rejuvenating Vitamin C. There’s day and night cream options here too. And the cool thing about Acure is that they usually have an option with SPF in it too.
Pacifica’s Glow Baby line also has several options for moisturizers with Vitamin C. Check the ingredients because they use different forms in different products. For example, the VitaGlow Face Lotion uses Ascorbic Acid, while the Hydrodew Moisture Gel uses Tetrahexyldecylascorbate and Kakadu Plum. These products also might be recommended for different skin types, so definitely read the details. You could also try their Vegan Collagen Overnight Recovery Cream, which has Vitamin C and other ingredients to help restore skin.
As a lower cost option, you could try The INKEY List B, C, & E Moisturizer. Or purchase Vitamin C powder and add it to your favorite moisturizer.

Summery of Chamomile
It helps to
Boosts immune health: Chamomile tea is often promoted as a strategy for preventing and treating the common cold, but evidence for this is lacking. It has also been said to be soothing for sore throats.
Relieves anxiety and depression: There is some evidence that chamomile may reduce the severity of anxiety and depression, but this is mostly based on using it as an aromatherapy or taking it as a supplement.
Improves skin health: It has been reported that applying chamomile to the skin via cosmetic products, such as lotions, eye creams and soaps, may be moisturizing and helpful for reducing skin inflammation.
Prevents bone loss: Some claim that chamomile tea may play a role in preventing bone loss that leads to conditions like osteoporosis. However, evidence for this is weak.
Chamomile in magik
is a popular ingredient in a number of magical rituals and spell workings. The two most commonly seen types of chamomile, or camomile, are the Roman and German varieties. While their characteristics vary slightly, they are similar in uses and magical properties. Let's look at some of the history and folklore behind the magical use of chamomile.
Chamomile's use has been documented as far back as the ancient Egyptians, but it was during the heyday of the English country garden that it really became popular. Country gardeners and wildcrafters alike knew the value of chamomile.
In Egypt, chamomile was associated with the gods of the sun and used in in treatment of diseases like malaria, as well as in the mummification process. It is believed that a number of other cultures used chamomile similarly, including the ancient Romans, the Vikings, and the Greeks. Interestingly,
the healing properties of chamomile don't apply only to people. If a plant was withering and failing to thrive, planting chamomile nearby could improve the health of the ailing plant.
Maud Grieve says of chamomile in A Modern Herbal,
"When walked on, its strong, fragrant scent will often reveal its presence before it is seen. For this reason it was employed as one of the aromatic strewing herbs in the Middle Ages, and used often to be purposely planted in green walks in gardens. Indeed walking over the plant seems specially beneficial to it.
Like a camomile bed
The more it is trodden
The more it will spread
The aromatic fragrance gives no hint of its bitterness of taste."
From a medicinal perspective, chamomile has been used for a variety of applications, including diarrhea, headache, indigestion, and colic in babies. In Back to Eden, Jethro Kloss recommends everyone "gather a bagful of camomile blossoms, as they are good for many ailments."
This all-purpose herb has been used to treat everything from loss of appetite to irregular periods to bronchitis and worms. In some countries, it is mixed into a poultice and applied to open wounds in order to prevent gangrene.
Chamomile is known as an herb of purification and protection, and can be used in incenses for sleep and meditation. Plant it around your home to ward against psychic or magical attack. If you're a gambler, wash your hands in chamomile tea to ensure good luck at the gaming tables. In a number of folk magic traditions, particularly those of the American south, chamomile is known as a lucky flower—make a garland to wear around your hair to attract a lover, or carry some in your pocket for general good fortune.
Author Scott Cunningham says in his Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs,
"Chamomile is used to attract money and a hand wash of the infusion is sometimes used by gamblers to ensure winnings. It is used in sleep and meditation incenses, and the infusion is also added to the bath to attract love."
If you're getting ready to do a banishing ritual, some practitioners recommend you steep chamomile flowers in hot water, and then use it to sprinkle around as a metaphysical barrier. You can also wash up with it, after the water has cooled, and this is believed to keep negative energies away from you.
Also, plant chamomile near doors and windows, to prevent negativity from entering your home, or blend it into a sachet to carry with you when you think you might be in physical or magical danger.
Dry chamomile flowers, pulverize them with a mortar and pestle, and use them in an incense blend to bring about relaxation and meditation. Chamomile is especially useful if you're trying to get yourself calmed and centered—blend it with lavender if you'd like to ensure a night of restful sleep with calming dreams.
You can also use chamomile in candle magic. Pulverize the dried flowers, and use them to anoint a green candle for money magic or a black one for banishing...
Chamomile has also been used for centuries as a key ingredient in spells to bring about blessings & prosperity. Washing the doors and windows of your home in a chamomile infusion will keep unwanted spirits or energy from sneaking in.
Plant chamomile near doors and windows to keep negativity out, or make a sachet to bring with you when you’re in physical or magical danger. The magical benefits of chamomile also include good luck, money, dreams, and love.

Hanban is traditional Korean herbal medicine considered mostly for elder women, but @beautyofjoseon_officiak is breaking the stereotypes  by doing medicine cosmetic products not only for older women but younger too. Ginseng is a vital herb that is used for body and skin health in Korean culture. The ginseng essence water provided by @stylekorean_global has 80% ginseng water + ginseng complex, plus 2% niacinamide, which help retain moisture, keep skin supple and control oil. It has a light amber color, little to no scent and has a watery consistency but hydrating. Is easy to use, just using your hands, splashing a bit of product and patting your face. I enjoyed using this product since it leaves my dry skin feeling hydrated with just one product, surprising when I must do a full routine of 6 products for my skin to feel moisturized. I am amazed that my skin is less oily during the day after incorporating this product into my routine. So glad I had the chance to try it, I would repurchase in a heartbeat. #beautyofjoseon #boj #kbeauty #koreanskincare #amroutine #pmroutine #beautyfollow  #skincare #skincareroutine #igblogger #igbeauty https://www.instagram.com/p/Clwm2foJyDe/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Cleaning Supplies And Household Chemicals
Toxic Chemicals You Come Into Contact With Daily
Tumblr media
Many of us do not believe of the food we eat as toxin, but a few of the components typically discovered in processed foods can be thought about harmful. By "harmful," I imply chemicals or highly processed components that aren't great for you or can cause harm to your health.
Any food that has actually been canned, dehydrated, or had chemicals contributed to it is a processed food, and these foods comprise about 60 percent of the typical American diet. They've taken over, and we have to battle BACK. Know which hazardous food ingredients to avoid: When a routine fat like corn, soybean, or palm oil is blasted with hydrogen and developed into a strong, it ends up being a trans fat.
The quantity of refined sugar we take in has declined over the past 40 years, however we're taking in practically 20 times as much HFCS. According to researchers at Tufts University, Americans take in more calories from HFCS than any other source. It remains in almost EVERYTHING. It increases triglycerides, boosts fat-storing hormonal agents, and drives people to overindulge and put on weight.
Research studies recommend that synthetic sweeteners fool the brain into forgetting that sweetness indicates extra calories, making people more likely to keep eating sweet deals with without desert. Scan component labels and ban all artificial sweeteners from entering your mouth.
Toxic Chemicals To Avoid In Your Products
youtube
The jury is still out on how damaging MSG may be, but high levels of free glutamates have actually been revealed to seriously screw with brain chemistry. Don't fall victim to chemical flavor enhancing. Just play it safe and flavor your food naturally.
In the United States, the typical person is exposed to more than a hundred chemicals from cosmetics, soaps, and other individual care items before leaving your home in the morning. While individuals might presume these items are safe, their chemical ingredients are mainly untried and mostly uncontrolled, with even understood carcinogenic and endocrine interfering with chemicals still discovered in some formulas.
Lots of chemicals in individual care items have actually never ever been checked for safety, and might also collect and interact in potentially damaging ways. Under a law that has not been updated given that 1938, the U.S. Fda (FDA) has little power to regulate the components in personal care items.
Business are allowed to label their items natural, natural, or hospital-approved based upon their own analysis of the terms, Davis stated. They can also conceal bothersome active ingredients in exclusive solutions by noting them as "scent" on a label. This landscape is challenging to navigate even for someone as well-educated on the problems as Davis, who explained the difficulties she experienced as a safety-conscious customer pregnant with her first child.
Toxic Chemicals In Products
Davis pointed out that more secure products are typical under Europe's more stringent regulative environment, which some business provide safer versions of the very same products there than they carry out in the United States. Some American companies are, nevertheless, slowly altering their practices due to consumer pressure, Davis said. Producers Procter & Gamble and Johnson & Johnson, and retail giants Target and Walmart just recently have revealed initiatives to address making use of damaging chemicals in appeal products.
"Doing this one chemical at a time is not going to work. If we stop at eliminating parabens in cream and BPA in infant bottles, we are not making strides for public health," she stated. "We are not going to know if it was the parabens in cream that triggered my mother-in-law's breast cancer at 40 without any family history," Davis stated.
Potentially hazardous chemicals can be found in every room in your house. If not appropriately kept or used, these products could trigger minor to major and even lethal health issues for you or your kids. What are these every day family chemicals? Let's take a tour of the rooms of your house and find what a few of these chemicals are and what health damages they might trigger.
Unless consumed in large amounts, water-soluble latex paints are not extremely toxic. Some latex paints release formaldehyde when drying. High levels of formaldehyde can provide you a headache and aggravate your eyes, nose and throat. Oil-based paint contains organic solvents that can be irritating to eyes and skin, and can trigger breaking of skin.
Dangerous Chemicals Hiding In Everyday Products
Chlorine bleach liquid and vapors can aggravate the skin, eyes, nose and throat. Dermatitis might arise from direct skin contact. Intake can trigger esophageal injury, stomach inflammation and prolonged queasiness and vomiting.

As temperatures trend downwards and the mercury drops towards freezing, nothing beats a long, hot shower or bath to leave one feeling clean, warm, pampered and toasty all over. But, wait, hold the sweetly scented, elaborately bottled bubble bath, as many conventional bath and body products come wrapped in excessive packaging, while containing a slew of questionable ingredients that can be harmful to people and the planet. Alternatively, the vendors selling bath and body products at our farmers markets work to make their creations as “clean” and eco-friendly as possible when it comes to the packaging and the contents themselves. So, the next time you’re looking to indulge in new toiletries either for yourself or as a gift, here are some things to consider: Bar Soap Long before liquid soap, shower gel and body wash burst onto the bathroom scene, there was good old fashioned bar soap sitting unassumingly on the side of the sink in a soap dish. But somewhere along the way, simple bar soap became loaded with synthetic cleaners and fragrances. The range of bar soaps you’ll find on display at vendor stalls in our farmers markets is formulated using as many locally sourced, eco-friendly and direct-from-the-farm ingredients as possible. This bar soap is intended to lather, moisturize and clean just as well as its synthetic counterparts. What’s more, vendors seek full transparency and traceability in their ingredient lists, which will typically contain recognizable household names such as essential oil, clay, beeswax and botanicals. You can find an array of different bar soaps across vendors that come in all sorts of formulas, colors, shapes, themes and fragrances. And, unlike liquid soaps and cleansers which require packaging in bottles or tubes that enter the waste stream once empty, the bar soap sold in our markets will have minimal to zero packaging. So, if you’re aiming for a truly “green clean” next time you lather up, pick up a bar and not a bottle. Shampoo Bars If you haven’t given “solid” shampoo a whirl before, it’s worth a try if you’re looking to reduce waste and minimize your exposure to harsh chemicals when washing your hair. Liquid shampoo is sold in plastic bottles to prevent breakage in the shower stall or tub and, as a liquid, is heavy to transport which produces greater carbon emissions. On the other hand, the shampoo bars sold by farmers market vendors tend to have little to no packaging and contain mostly natural oils, butters and conditioners that produce a rich lather to clean hair without stripping it of its natural oils. Another advantage of solid shampoo is that its ingredients are concentrated, so one bar should last you longer than a bottle while taking up less space in the bathroom. Shampoo bars are also travel-friendly as they’re lightweight, easy-to-pack and don’t set off any alarm bells with TSA. Exfoliators Despite legislation prohibiting their manufacture and distribution, some cosmetics and exfoliating cleansers have been found to still contain plastic microbeads. These microplastics are so miniscule that they often evade water treatment plant filtration systems and end up polluting waterways and oceans. They can even be present in our drinking water and are ingested by fish and other marine life. The soaps, scrubs and cleansers sold in our farmers markets do not contain plastics, but instead incorporate a variety of naturally abrasive, biodegradable materials to act as exfoliating agents. Look for products being sold by vendors that contain ingredients such coffee grounds, matcha, oatmeal and sea salt that will loosen and remove dead skin cells to smooth, revitalize and restore your complexion without harming the environment. Lotions, creams and balms As the weather gets colder and humidity levels drop, one’s skin can get dry, irritated and flaky. Plus, all those warm showers and baths can further remove moisture and dehydrate skin. Because they’re applied directly to your epidermis, which is the largest organ in the human body, it’s important to carefully consider the types of ingredients present in your skincare regime. The skincare products you’ll find at the farmers market contain naturally derived components such as beeswax, shea and cocoa butters, essential oils and other plant extracts. These ingredients will soothe, protect, restore and moisturize skin as effectively as any chemicals produced in a laboratory. So, the farmers market is not only a destination where you can source nutritious, locally grown and sustainably produced foods, it’s also a place to find cleaner, greener bath and body products. After all, they do say that what goes on you is as important as what goes in you!

Global Flavours And Fragrances Market Analysis 2022
Tumblr media
Global Flavours and Fragrances market was valued at USD 22.66 billion in 2021 and is expected to reach USD 29.72 billion by the year 2028, at a CAGR of 3.95%.
Flavours and fragrances create scents and tastes for application in an extensive range of consumer products, incorporating prepared foods, personal care, and fine fragrances, household products, cosmetics, and beverages. Natural and synthetic flavour compositions are accountable for the fruity taste of cherry cola and the cool mint flavour of toothpaste. Fragrance compositions mix the fresh scent of pine to household cleaning products and exotic top notes to fine perfumes. Due to these characteristics, the fragrance and flavour are mostly used in perfumes and perfumed products and for the flavouring of food.
