Unpopular Opinion: It's not always about the mindset. Granted, yes, your "I can do it, I can achieve it" mindset is VERY needed in order to propel you forward to take action. But sometimes, it really IS about the strategy + not the mindset. --> When your business isn't making consistent income, you don't yet have a proven marketing + sales strategy. So it *could* be your mindset, but if you're doing all the work around your mindset + you're not focusing on the strategy too... The scales are tipped + there's a gap. Consistent income + growing your business is a balance between 3 things: - Strategy - Mindset - Action If you're only focusing on Strategy, you won't have the can-do attitude or action to back it up. Leaving your genius unseen by the people you're trying to reach. If you're only focusing on the Mindset, you won't have the implementation or the process to back it up. Leaving you sitting around, waiting for it to fall into your lap. If you're only focusing on the action, you won't have the positive attitude to continue going when you hit a roadblock or the clarity of what to do, where to go, or the focus on a process that works. Leaving you feeling kicked around like a pinball in a pinball machine. And you can see how having only 2 of these 3 balanced creates a gap in the other as well. I've seen so much awareness on mindset + action. Yay! Im very motivated! ...probably too motivated. But I'm just so excited right now to share all the thingies of my mind. Yeah... I don't even know what to say. I have so many ideas and things in my head, but I have no words to describe them. -That... makes no sense. I’d Chase You Down

Good Morning

(ting ting ting) My brain slowly starts to awaken and me shoving my face with copious amounts of chocolate pudding on a huge yacht somewhere, fades away. Good morning!

“Oh no, the sugar jar! What could they possibly be doing with the sugar at 6:30 am? What kind of mess am I going to find? Maybe if I just wait a couple more minutes, the oldest one will make sure to cover their tracks and clean up. Hah, ya ok (queue eye roll). I better get out there.”

Isn’t Me

Motherhood is a wild ride that has a presence in every part of you. Every deep corner of your being, there she is. Some women thrive on it… it fuels them. They have more patience than humanly possible and excel tremendously in that role. This person isn’t me!

Now, I do lots with my kids. We go camping, swimming, biking, and more. I’ll gladly teach them about gardening and last year I attempted to build a skating rink on an uneven backyard. If you ever decide to do this, placement is everything.

But the usual housewife/SAHM role drains me of my soul. It isn’t me! I did it for a few years until I couldn’t bear to stay home any longer and I took on small jobs throughout the community just to get out of the house and interact with people. I was the lady you’d run into in the laundry aisle at Superstore and used any excuse I could, as an invitation to talk to you. Following you out to your car… you begin to jog, hoping to escape… but I don’t notice… now we are both jogging. How fun!

Family Loss

Then, a couple years ago, a family loss put things into perspective for me and it was more clear than ever that I needed to take action and make a move. I needed to stop looking at the reasons why NOT to do it, and start focusing on the reasons why I NEEDED to do it.

After looking at many old heritage buildings in my small town. This one spoke to me! My gut told me to buy this building. More like screamed at me!

And the journey begins…
