See You Soon (4/6 TK - Mom Fic)
2.3K | AO3
Summary: TK has always had a close relationship with Gwyn. She was there for him, more times than he could count, in more ways than he could ever know. But, when he moved to Austin, he gained some more amazing women in his life, ones who always found a way to look out for him when Gwyn wasn’t able to. (Aka: Five times TK was ‘mommed’ by one of the amazing women in his life; plus one time he put their lessons to use for another.)
Some of you may have seen me posting and talking about my “mom fic” on WIP Wednesdays the past couple weeks. I just have the last two chapters to finalize, but wanted to post this before I left to go out of town for a few days. Special thanks to @morganaspendragonss, @marjansmarwani, @aanathemaa, @lire-casander, and @alilypea for the help on this! I appreciate all of you so much.
Tommy -
He sank further into the couch. His body ached. Every muscle felt like it had been overused during the day. He was bone tired. Hurting. Hurting more than he’d let on with Tommy and Nancy earlier.
The three of them had been at their new job for a bit now. He hated it. They all did. It was so very different from the 126. The focus was on profit over care. Protocol over rescues. Business over family.
You name it.
They all hated it.
But, it didn’t mean he still didn’t pull some reckless saves. They’d all been fine. They’d all done what they needed. Except, today, well, it didn’t seem to go as planned.
They’d arrived at an accident. It was supposed to be a simple hiking venture gone wrong. Except, the victims hadn’t described the nature of the scene that well. They’d been far drunker than they’d let on, having consumed a few too many beers back at their campsite before venturing onto the trails.
Before falling down the trails and getting hurt…

Not Alone (Tarlos AU 4/?)
Summary: Movies had always been a comfort for TK. When he was left home alone. When his parents didn't have time for him. When he was going through withdraw. Everything. It was the one thing he could always count on. One he definitely hoped he could count on following his disastrous leave from New York and shaky arrival in Austin. Too bad he had to go and fall for the owner of the old theater he discovered....
(aka Firefighter-Movie Buff TK/Theater Owner Carlos AU)
As always, special thank you to @marjansmarwani for putting up with me and all my updates and plotting. I can't thank you enough and am so happy you gave me the encouragement an help on this one. Thank you to everyone who has been commenting/messagig about it as well! I'm pretty shocked by all the love on this little fic and really appreciate it. Special thanks and shout out to @lire-casander, @mtnofgrace, and @halsteadmarchsfor also giving this a glance and encouraging.
He held his breath as Carlos gave him a once over. He felt the blood crusting on his face. His ribs ached. Hell, his whole body did really. He didn’t dare move. Not when Carlos was standing there staring at him.
God he couldn’t get this day right.

Little late but why not? This is totally @marjansmarwani's fault and I couldn't be more grateful to her for helping with this idea. This is an AU I'm playing with. We'll see what comes from it. But he's a small snippet:
Inside the movie theater was just as gorgeous as the outside, stealing his breath. He noticed a bar off to the side, a few patrons sipping what looked like wine before the movie started. It was fairly dead. Another woman was manning the bar while the customers talked softly. He nearly turned towards the bar, still itching for a drink.
“Don’t think I’ve seen you around here before.”
The voice broke him out of his thoughts, out of his intention to move to the bar. Instead, he turned toward the concession stand, coming face to face with someone that was somehow more gorgeous than the surrounds. The man was tall and muscular, yet smiling softly at him from behind the counter. He leaned his elbows onto it and gave TK a smile.
“First time?” The man continued.
“Yeah,” TK squeaked out.
“Welcome.” The man pushed off the countertop with a wide grin. “I always like seeing new faces. Means I can maybe stay in business longer.” He smirked a little at the end of his thoughts.
TK swallowed thickly. “You own this place?”
“I do.” The man held out his hand for TK to shake. “Carlos.”
“Um, TK.” He shook the man’s hand. “It’s beautiful.”
“Thank you.” Carlos blushed, somehow becoming more beautiful himself in the process. “Can I get you anything for the film? Popcorn? Candy?”
TK blinked and managed to look down at the case. “Um…whatever you recommend?” As soon as he said the words, he waned to smack himself. It was a basic movie concession stand. With the same things as every other station. But….
Carlos chuckled. “Well, our popcorn is pretty legendary.”
“Is it, now?” TK couldn’t believe he was flirting. He had no need to. He shouldn’t. But…
“It is,” Carlos continued, already turning towards the machine and getting a bag out. “Old family recipe.” He poured a batch into the bag and added butter and some spices over it. “Here.” He handed it across the counter towards TK. “On the house. For your first time.”

Love Like Ghosts (3x2 speculation/Tarlos fic)
AO3//4800 words
Summary: He saw him everywhere. Scenes. Restaurants. That coffee shop. Everywhere. Had for weeks really. It shouldn’t come as a shock that he was with him now. Under the water. The ice cold water. While he was struggling. While he was maybe dying… He just wanted Carlos there.
Yeah...joining in on the speculation and codas with my own here. This is an exploration of TK's headspace after falling through the ice and suffering from hypothermia. @marjansmarwani and I had been talking about the idea of flashbacks and hallucinations for weeks not, and this is purely a product of that. All the italicized sections are flashbacks/hallucinations.
Special thanks to @lire-casander (I appreciate the quick beta earlier!), @marjansmarwani, @halsteadmarchs, and @morganaspendragonss who kept reading and pushing and encouraging this one on. It was a team effort!
(May end up adding a part two if people are interested with Carlos's side of things after the new episode airs)
The snow was getting worse. Ice was piling up underneath the sludge. Everything was freezing. His breath fogged up the front of the ambulance, despite the heater blasting throughout. It wasn’t helping. Nothing was really.
Not since he’d seen Carlos.
He should have known. It wasn’t like it was the first time he’d seen him. Not really. He’d seen him on and off for months. But this, it was different. This was direct. Not a casual sighting. A glance across the street. Or through the window at their coffee shop. It was him right there. In front of him.
He groaned as he felt the ambulance slide yet again on the road.

Love is Pain (Tarlos Secret Santa Fic)
Summary: An "easy" call to the local Christmas Market soon turns stressful when TK is greeted by Andrea --their victim. However, he could never have imagined how much worse the day was going to get. Or that a truck driver would decide to run a red light on them...safe to say, his Christmas with Carlos was definitely about to be a little off plans.
Merry Christmas @marjansmarwani! So, I feel incredibly lucky that I was able to write this for you this year and be your @tarlos-santa! I may have cheated a bit...since I know we've been talking about this "ambulance crash" fic for months. But, I hope you very much enjoy it!
Decorations lined the streets, blurring as the ambulance rushed forward. Lights that had been left on from the night before. Garland that blew and loosened in the wind. An errant wreath that had fallen into the road. The holidays were coming. It was obvious in all the little ways.
And in the types of calls they’d been getting.
With a sigh, he pulled up to the familiar market. It wasn’t busy, not compared to the weekends when Carlos would usually want him to go. Not compared to the summers during the height of the season. Things were turning colder, well, colder by Austin standards. It wasn’t cold. But people weren’t frequenting the outdoor market. Not really.
Except, there was apparently enough to warrant a call to 911.

(aka Firefighter-Movie Buff TK/Theater Owner Carlos AU)
This is purely the product of a conversation on old movies with @marjansmarwani and I'm very grateful for her encouragement and help on this one. Thank you again for the help with chapter two and putting up with me sending you snippets. Also, thank you to @alilypea for some advice on old movies to include.
Thank you all for the likes/comments/reblogs. It's much appreciated! Thanks to @lire-casander, @mtnofgrace, and @halsteadmarchs for also giving this a glance and being amazing cheerleaders.
The whole night, he cursed himself for it. For getting involved with another guy. Well, for hooking up with someone. He swore he wouldn’t go back. That he couldn’t. But…
He found himself walking the streets of Austin yet again. He’d worked a twenty-four hour shift the day before, Wednesday, and had time to kill before he would go back. He hated time to kill. Especially now that he was in a new city. Owen had gone out early for something. He’d been cagey and not really shared much with him. But he’d left shortly after they’d woken up this morning, leaving TK alone in the too big home.

Cold Dessert (2X12 TARLOS WHUMP AU 2/3)
Summary: Everything just felt too much. The fight with Carlos. His dad’s prison stay. HIs emotions. Everything. He just wanted to drown it out. To ignore everyone and everything. When Tommy told him to put on music and stock the bus, he felt like it would be a blessing in disguise. Too bad the loud music drowned out everything…even Judd warning that they all needed to evacuate the station. (2x12 coda/au)
Special thanks for @silvarafael who sent in a prompt/thought about “what if TK was hurt at the station before the arsonist got to their apartment?” I hope this lives up to your hopes/expectations with this one! Thank you again for letting me play with this 💜. Also, special thanks to @marjansmarwani for giving some ideas on the injuries listed here. I appreciate you both (and @mtnofgrace who read over things too!)

Love it if We Made It (Tarlos Whump Oneshot)
Summary: TK had thought the day couldn't get any worse. He'd gotten a black eye and more thanks to a disoriented patient. And his phone had been busted. His brand new phone. He was sure the day couldn't get worse. Until...he walked into his new home. Only to see Gabriel sitting in the kitchen in a blood stained uniform. With Carlos nowhere in sight...
Happiest of (belated) Birthdays @aliceschuyler! I hope you like this fic 💜. I know you requested some Carlos whump with Gabriel having to inform TK. It ended up being a little more of a double whump fic (thank you @marjansmarwani for the idea!) Hope you enjoy! Special thanks to @silvarafael and @mtnofgrace for skimming over this earlier in the week as well.

His alarm blared, nearly sending him over the edge of his bed. He caught himself at the last moment. His heart raced and his head pounded as he reached for his phone. It was nearly noon. He’d set the alarm as a backup, to ensure he could be ready in time for work. He hadn’t meant to sleep that long. But, in his defense, it really hadn’t fallen asleep til nearly five in the morning, even after working a twelve hour shift the day before.
But, he couldn’t get his brain to shut off.
Not after he had left Carlos’s.

This Wasn’t What it Was (Tarlos one shot - 2x06 Coda)
Summary: Everything had been overwhelming. His parent's news. His dad's reactions. The job. All of it. But when he was out there, working that minefield with those boys, things felt a little clearer. A little more in focus. He knew what he wanted. Too bad the mines under his feet had to turn things on their sides a bit for him. Thankfully, Carlos is there to help bring back the clarity and right his world.
(Coda to 2x06 with some TK whump and loving Carlos)
Special thanks to @mtnofgrace and @officereyes for the ideas for this one. I hope it doesn't disappoint 💜.
