'He was so boring; I wish *you* were there!' #WWX is very quick to constantly remind himself that he fits within a very specific power structure and role. #He pushes boundaries but almost always only the boundaries that he knows he can push against. #Sitting here now and realizing that if WWX did take life more seriously and act more diligent he would totally usurp JC. #Because the contrast with Them (tm) is wwx is the one that gets in trouble and JC is the one that sticks to the rules. #That responsible appearance especially in contrast is the thin line that holds JC's self-esteem together. #And lets be fully honest. From JC's perspective the last week was also extremely intense and stressful. #It truly was a feat to travel so far so fast despite also being exhausted. Never knowing if it is all in vain. #JC said with his actions 'I would move mountains for you and dig through stone with my bare hands if it meant reaching you.' #and WWX said '[read]' #It's about wwx chronically asking 'why would someone care for me? I'm always tool to be used' than accepting that people love him.

#digital art #artists on tumblr #illustrators on tumblr #original illustration #original art #sasha's art #work and classes start next week for me and also for all of my friends #and probably the whole city as well #so i wanted to do something to say goodbye to this summer #there was so much stress we went through with me moving to a new country and figuring out health care and banks and all of that fun stuff #and a lot of going back and forth between vienna and my home town #and also two (2) of my friends moved apartments and everyone went on vacation at different times #BUT #throught it all we still managed to see each other a lot and i feel like we made the most of it #i had fun and i really appreciated it all #so i wanted to capture all of these small moments #the swims in the danube and the picknics and the swans with their chattering #this was my first summer i got to spend while living in this city i've dreamed about my whole life #and i got to spend it with the love of my life and a beautiful group of friends #here's to many more!! #i hope you all also had a nice summer and i hope your return to work/ school/ whatever is comfortable and easy ! #i have many ideas for art currently which always happens when i am about to have yero free time lmao #we'll see how much time i manage to make for it and when i can post my next big Piece #but hopefully soon!! my resolve is Big and my passion is all encompasing !!!!

Look, I know it's supposed to end badly. But I need to admit that in my head, they declared a mutual "fuck this shit" to the world and society. Packed all the stuff they could one late night and escaped to a remote open plain in the middle of some thick woods where they spent the rest of their lives healing and living freely in nature.

I've been having a lot of intense feelings about them as well. The tragical elements are so baked in to their story and setting, it's hard to imagine a happy ending for them. But every now and then I find myself thinking of scenarios and AUs where they both live and grow old together. For coping purposes, I suppose.

#for real though I've had several crying sessions over them during the past couple of weeks I'm not kidding #that's how you know you've perhaps gotten a little too emotionally invested in your characters #two entirely fictional dog men whose fates I have complete control over have reduced me to shambles #the unfortunate truth is that from a storytelling point the whole thing works better as a tragedy #the sadness makes the happy moments more significant and the happy moments feel bittersweet because of the sadness #for all intents and purposes they're classic star-crossed lovers #neither of them have done anything to justify such a wretched end though and I just want good things for them #I think I might have to come up with an alternate ending where Machete has the sense and chance to resign before it's too late #and move to Florence to be closer to Vasco #or maybe they both go back to Venice where they originally met that might be nice #maybe not realistic but it'd be nice #answered #dragonfoxgirl

It's not perfect but I am very happy with it + I am so happy to put down the tablet pen. #Digital art has some nice features but I'm sticking with traditional! I need a month to recover from the 2+ weeks of torture. #Okay lets talk about the AU and the comic now #Disco elysium has some of the best existential-horror-dream sequences I have ever seen. #The dialogue here is heavily inspired by The Final Dream - A scene I'd love to talk about more were it not so heavy with spoilers. #My AU is a lot more complex than a simple character swap but I really felt like LWJ + YLLZ fit this scene. #The final dream is about being unable to move on from a lost love. From something You made holy. From something You ruined. #It is about realizing that no matter how smart you are or what you offer or how you try to change - #You will never be able to turn back time. You will never ever be able to fix what is broken. That you also have been broken for a long time #You are a fuck-up who worships the nail covered ground of someone who did not want to be holy. And even though it hurts- #You cannot let this nightmare go. The pain keeps the love close. It is worse to forget. You promised to remember. #WWX died thinking LWJ disliked him. LWJ lost someone he thought was revolted by his love.
