Girl, ignore those weirdo haters. I'm an "old" fan of and your vision of Lestat is one of the most fair and nuanced I've seen in this fandom, which is rare to find these days. The problem is that the AMC fandom are obsessed with their version of Lestat as sigma-alpha male "epitome of masculinity" and they hate anyone who doesn't marry that version (whether to love him or hate him, it's the same with AMC Louis) (not even Anne Rice at her worst made it so basic)

Thank you!! That makes me so, so happy!! I find Lestat a lot harder to write than Louis for me, but I do my absolute best to draw from the trilogy characterization since it's the most nuanced and consistent. I really like him and think he's a great character and with as much complexity as Louis if he's allowed to have it.

To be completely honest with you, I don't even know what the show-exclusive fans have going on over there because I give it a wide berth (truly none of my business for so many reasons). That sounds deeply terrible though, Anne was bad enough on her own. Jesus.

Regardless, I will always stand firmly against any strictly masc or fem reading of Louis or Lestat because they're way too interesting for that.

Louis and Harry are exhausted. Their bodies sprawled out on the cold kitchen floor, their butts sitting heavy against the linoleum. The room is dimly lit… the only source of light coming from the small, open refrigerator in the corner of the room.

The two lovers have once again fallen victim to Harry's notorious late-night pregnancy binges.

Harry, in his eighth month of pregnancy, has longbeen known to raid the fridge at odd hours of the night, searching for something… anything… to gobble down. Tonight was no different.

Harry stumbled into the kitchen, his tiny baby bump barely protruding in front of him. Like a greedy robot, his eyes scanned the refrigerator shelves… searching for something to satisfy his insatiable hunger.

Louis — having gotten out of bed shortly after realizing that Harry was gone — joined him in his quest for satiation. Together, they devoured a leftover pizza, and entire pie, bags and bags of shredded cheese, and anything else they could get their hands on… until their stomach were nearly bursting.

As they lay there, on the kitchen floor — their bodies no longer able to move, under the extreme weight of their bloats — they suddenly realize the horrible extent of their indulgence. The kitchen floor is now a burial ground for empty containers and discarded wrappers… corpses, left in the wreckage of their late-night binge.

Oh wow, obviously I have thought about this, and I think either Louis or Armand could be the omega here (aka the pregnant one) but for the sake of this ask let's make Armand the omega. It just feels right for Christmas Eve, can't explain.

Okay, so...

I think Louis would be such a gentleman — so perceptive and aware of when Armand is going to go into heat and need him now. He starts picking up on Armand little changes in mood and tone, and before long he knows what's happening before Armand does, and makes the necessary arrangements to be there asap so Armand doesn't have to go without. What a guy!

They would conceive quickly (you and I both know Lestat was one breath away from calling Armand "breedable" in PL, and I believe it). In my headcanons, I like to assume that Louis and Armand had the Claudia Talk before Louis moved into Trinity Gate, but there's nothing to say whether or not they did or they didn't. And even if they had discussed it prior — a pregnancy, a shared child — would bring up a lot of feelings that would have to be addressed. Oops.

But overall, they would both be elated! Of course, it's inevitable that Louis will immediately slip into caregiver mode as if Armand isn't the resident guard dog of NYC. To Louis, he's suddenly a little kitten that must be sheltered and protected and tended to. He's nowhere near as overbearing as Lestat might be though, and he does give Armand his space when he asks for it and lets him do his own thing. The two of them have always done "separate but together" very well.

Armand to me is already canonically such a nester, I think he would be nesting basically from day one. He's walking around in Louis's sweaters that reach his upper thighs now instead of his knees thanks to the growing bump, and it is quite A Look™️ as he meticulously turns the entire mansion upside down reorganizing and redecorating at least twelve times in the span of nine months.

All that he really wants to do is stay at Trinity Gate where it's a controlled environment and nothing could possibly hurt their babies. Lucky for him, Louis is a born homebody and when Armand isn't in a cleaning/decorating frenzy, they pass the time reading Keats and Shakespeare (and occasionally the bad YA for variety), and watching 1990s Leonardo DiCaprio movies.

Omg I'm still talking and we haven't hit labor yet but I think I could talk all night so I'll wrap it up, but one last thing: they would have twin girls because Louis is the ultimate girl dad and I want this for him. 🥹
