I think there’s something so beautiful about how Gerard Keay ends his existence by saying he wanted the friends he never had to call him Gerry and the listeners of the podcast, who have never truly met this fictional man, all collectively decided to honor him in death by calling him Gerry. Like this man who was lonely and abused and sad for most of his life now has thousands of people declaring every single day that This Man Is My Friend and I think that’s beautiful
