Look at him!!!! Look at Haillie!!!! They are both so cute with their feet up on the railing like that. She’s copying her dad which is totally adorbs . Also, interesting that Stevie is up higher, so is not as likely to be photographed. Mr. Porter, Em, Hailie and her fiancée are in the limelight already whereas Stevie not so much so it makes sense that they would be more shielded and in the background, protected. The whole scene is laid back, relaxed, comfortable.

Ok so considering your readings and things P had said himself we already got that he has a pessimistic look on love BUT I'd like details lol so, please, ask your cards: in the present time, at his 48-year-old age, what P thinks about love? does he really sees it ONLY as a bad thing? ps: I mentioned his age in the question 'cause his opinion might have evolved with age, as in, maybe he realize something new, you know?

Hello! I asked your question to the cards and the first pull was Temperance, 6 of Flowers and The Star. Well, that isn’t so bad for a start. Lol 😆

Temperance means he sees love as something that needs balance and harmony, that requires patience and moderation. It needs time to work things out and calm to deal with every situation. 6 of Flowers points to him thinking that love is also something that needs you to believe you can win, believe the relationship will be successful, and you need to step up and go for it, because if you do, it will work. If it does, you could even brag about it because it’s definitely an achievement. The Star is another card that suggests he sees love as something you should be optimistic about, again, believe in it, have faith, and see it from a positive perspective if you’re gonna go for it.

The second pull wasn’t so positive, with 4 of Spears, Queen of Hedgehogs reversed and Transformation. 4 of Spears might be pointing to him distancing himself from love. He felt the need to stay away from it, so he could focus on himself more. And Queen of Hedgehogs reversed means he could be feeling like he can’t give it time and attention now, he’s too focused on work, thinking of himself and in getting what he wants from life, possibly more focused on the material side. He’s distant, more self-centered and ambitious. Transformation (Death) shows us that he sees love as a radical change from his current ways. It would require him to let go of the old so he could see things from a different perspective.

So let’s say he might not see love in a very pessimistic way, but as something that requires a lot of effort and faith and dedication and he just chooses not to go that route, which is fine. He’s not unhappy, he’s just focusing on other aspects of his life, since he thinks love needs more time and attention than he’s willing to give it now. That first pull even reminded me of the quote from Ethan’s hbo doc he posted as the caption of this post last August:

Love is delicate and it needs to be treated like a delicate flower, not steel.

AND it becomes a confirmed reading because it’s exactly what he said in 2017 to the Mr. Porter interview:
