The #MarvelousMrsMaisel ending was such a perfect way to wrap up both Midge and Susie's story. That flash forward into Midge's fame was such a beautiful way to show us she made it, while we watch how she fought to get there.

Alex Borstein won Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and, in the acceptance speech paid homage to her mother and grandmother. “They are immigrants, they are Holocaust survivors. My grandmother turned toward a guard—she was in line to be shot into a pit—and said, "What happens if I step out of line?" and he said, "I don't have the heart to shoot you, but somebody will. And she stepped out of line. And for that, I am here. And for that, my children are here. So step out of line, ladies. Step out of line."

After season 4 strongly implied that Lenny loved Midge and she had feelings for him too, he was only in 3 scenes of season 6? He was one of her most significant relationships across the show and i feel like that was just ignored in the finale season. The episode showed the impact addiction had had on his career and that while, a relationship long term probably wouldn't have worked they still cared about each other and that felt like the only weighty moment between them in the whole show. She was carrying a fortune cookie in her bra from her dinner with him but little more. Not even him celebrating her success. I feel a little cheated when the finale gave time for all the other people in her life.

evermore songs as relating to midge maisel because every time i listen to that album i think of her
champagne problems: midge and benjamin. this song has a similar premise to midnight rain i feel like and it just applies to midge wanting more for herself than just a husband
happiness: midge and joel. this song perfectly describes their relationship. this and closure are like their quintessential songs (no, i did not like joel how could you tell?)
dorothea: midge and lenny. “if you ever get tired of being known for who you know, you know you’ll always know me” could be either of them to each other
coney island: midge and benjamin. specifically the line ‘sorry for not making you my centerfold’ like ughhh
cowboy like me: midge and lenny. it’s so fucking perfect. like they’re so similar (can you tell they’re my fav ever) and this song just perfectly encapsulates the vibes of their relationship
long story short: just midge’s love life in general tbh.
marjorie: midge and lenny. hear me out here - after they part ways in the finale, we know in real life lenny bruce died from an od, and i feel like midge would feel soo guilty that she never got to see him again
closure: midge and joel. it’s just so them.
right where you left me: midge and joel SPECIFICALLY right after he leaves her
it’s time to go: midge. just her and relationships that no longer serve her she’s such a badass

Sometimes I watch my favourite show Marvelous Mrs Maisel and a little thought pops up in my head - wouldn’t it be wonderful to live in the 60s? I quickly shut it down - racism, sexism, lack of contraception and antidepressants and so on… The truth is that I don’t want to live in the 60s at all, all I want is Midge’s apartment, wardrobe and to have sex with Luke Kirby.

I have this theory regarding The Marvelous Mrs Maisel that I want to share:
In the flashforward we know that both Esther and Ethan have a difficult relationship with Midge and that she and Susie are no longer friends.
And... What if, because of Lenny's death, Midge became a bitter person, focused only on working ("Don't plan. Work hard, keep working), forgetting everything around her?
What if she never mourned for Lenny properly, because technically they never openely said they were friends/more than friends/more than a one time thing and because of all this unresolved situation she was bad and bitter with everyone?
Just my two cents on this
