Arthur kingsmen (or is it kingsman? )

Is he’s named after The legend of King Arthur from Lancelot

Heck his hammer is named Galahad and his uncle is named lance (both of witch are knights King Arthur had)

Too bad there’s no other pets or family of Arthur’s to be named Merlin after wizard King Arthur had somehow befriended to help him it would be so amusing for sure

((I have just now had the realization that the Super Ghost AU doesn’t have to stick to the ‘canon’ of my Mystery Skulls blog if it doesn’t want to. It’s an independent AU and it can make up it’s own canon. SO-))

First big change: Gawain is actually the reincarnated soul of an ancient dragon. Maybe he was once a human prince who got cursed, or maybe he was just a dragon to begin with who happened to have a human form. That’s not important to the bit right now.

Each reincarnation Gawain’s soul goes through gets two decades to grow into their own person before they magically come into the knowledge of previous incarnations when they turn 21. Since Gawain died at twenty, he didn’t get those memories, and it takes him a whoooooole lot longer to figure out that his spur-of-the-moment-dragon-cover-story is a LOT more accurate than he thinks it is.

This opens the door for me to have Gawain get more dragon-like (which, for some reason, I’ve really been wanting him to be) without it having to happen as part of an AU within an AU.

It also separates things a bit from MSA, which I think might be good, if only for the sake of refreshing the playing field for new ideas.

Magical artifacts and powerful spellcasters could help Gawain unlock the memories of his previous incarnations, but without any knowledge of that history, Gawain has no reason to be asking around/testing artifacts.

The Knights - Lizabeth, Bill, and Bako - all go through a similar reincarnation cycle due to either a magical oath they swore to Gawain back when the cycle first started or just magical shenanigans. They all have their memories of past incarnations because they survived to their forties, but were looking for Gawain in the entirely wrong generation before they noticed the very familiar ‘robot’ in the Justice League.

Gawain’s soul wouldn’t normally stick around as a ghost, due to the reincarnation cycle, but something about the location he died at prevented him from moving on (more magic shenanigans? That’s a good cover-all).

(inhales) okay so i have never elaborated on this officially but back in my msa hk au i ALSO, if you will notice, drew vivi as a human with a bug mask. this is bc i thought too much about it and came up with a whole, lore and culture and everything where the au!hallownest denizens are like, human-bug hybrids? and so they have like... bug TRAITS, but they're also still. people-ish. fx mantids still have wings and undergo the same loss/atrophy as they grow, but the "mantis claw" is actually a special kind of arm-locked blade used for both combat and climbing. moths still cocoon, etc. i think in general, though i've never Settled on this and it's really indistinguishable from regular plot-armor powers, all of them tend to be more stronger/tougher than baseline humans.

(i will point out that though i don't consider this canon to Actual hollow knight, it's not like the hk "bugs" are like... exactly real bugs either. like they wear masks and smith weapons?)

and generally they still look hollow-knight-y because they have masks like i said, which are! carved by mask makers. there's a whole cultural thing about mask removal/showing someone your real face being extremely intimate, which is also a standard that varies between the different factions. blah blah tl;dr he's both

Love this comic's art style. A lot of the time Webtoons Creators use 3D backgrounds (which is 100% understandable, making webtoons are tough and anything you can do to make things go by faster I stand behind), but these mad lads are still drawing everything by hand. Colors are a 10/10

God I remember Purpah doing a bunch of MSA stuff back in, 2012/2013 and I LOVED her color choices. I remember when she posted the first art piece with Modeus and thinking 'I reeeaallly want this to be a comic SO BAD' AND NOW WE HAVE IT AND IT'S A 10/10. Highly recommend.

I love the colors for this comic SO MUCH LOOK AT THE CLOUDS!!!! I hardly remember the plot (it's been awhile), but oh boy do I remember the colors.

Sithrah (Completed)

Jason Brubaker does a lot of cool stuff, and I love his colors. Plus I love that he makes his Webtoon comic as a traditional comic first, then broke apart the pages to fit the scroll format. It makes it so that you can have a printed comic AND a webtoon.

Aka I love owning physical comics and I hope more Webtoon originals can be printed. Not just Lore Olympus.

Erma

"Erma is like any other normal child. She goes to school, plays with friends, and even spends time with the family. It just so happens that she is the daughter of a ghostly spirit and tends to use her haunting abilities for everyday antics, whether for better or for worse."

This comic has BONE vibes and I love it so much. I seriously think there should be more black/white wecomics. Not just because manga, no, it makes the process quicker and it makes printing comics SO MUCH EASIER. I love colors, but color correcting for print is a PROCESS.

Additional spot light to Anthony Fu who also went #undefeated in the lower section for blitz, followed by Brayden Vandegraff (who is visiting us from Augusta, GA with his father and brother for the 2nd week in a row!), Nicholas Susi, Jamir Mack, Scott Macfarlane, and Edurard Murillo who all got 2 #wins. For the #Classical #chess event, Sean Miller and Aaryav Saha share #1st and #2nd with 3 points, followed by Mark Ritchie who gained 2.5 points out of 4 in the upper section. For the lower section, Andrew Metze & Anthony Fu share 1st and 2nd, followed by Alexander Myrick with 2.5 out of 4 to earn 3rd place. US Trip 2019 Journal Comic #2

Featuring @heilos, @artsyfeathersartsyblog and @scyrel!

On 16th January 2019, I had a lovely time meeting and hanging out with some the Mystery Skulls Animated crew and one of the animators from my @ygoreanimate project in Las Vegas.

Me being called out as a "travel prepared" person is just hilarious to me because... what can I say? I just love traveling. My yearly experiences of visiting all kind of places and meeting online friends around the world in person have prepared me well for this.

Another similar moment like this happened too when I was hanging out with some friends in LA (which sadly I don’t have the time to draw it) - basically before we all head home, they scrambled trying to draw art for my freelance boss Nico to show their appreciation. They called me out being a “travel prepared” person after realizing that I have already prepared my appreciation art at home waaay before I arrived the US and later gave it to Nico in person *laughs*.
