Puente que colapsó en La Troncal se recuperará en 15 días

El puente La Cadena, ubicado en el cantón La Troncal, que colapsó el domingo 21 de abril, se prevé recuperarlo en unas dos semanas, dijo el Prefecto del Cañar, Marcelo Jaramillo. El puente, en la vía Zhud – Cochancay – El Triunfo, sector parroquia Manuel J . Calle, colapsó el domingo cerca de las 14:22, según la Secretaría de Gestión de Riesgos. Desde la Prefectura del Cañar y del Ministerio de Transporte y Obras Públicas, se remitió personal técnico para inspeccionar las condiciones de la infraestructura. Como medida alternativa, se habilitó un paso provisional para mantener la circulación vehicular. Según Jaramillo, se trata de un desvío por el sector del río Negro, que tiene una distancia de 1,8 kilómetros. Este puente es de competencia del MTOP, no obstante, desde la Prefectura se apoyó con las reparaciones. Para Jaramillo, este puente es importante porque es una de las principales conexiones entre Cañar con las provincias de la Costa. Por el momento se prevé la implementación de un puente bailey, para habilitar la circulación vehicular. Pese a que el Ministerio ofreció hacerlo en 10 días, para Jaramillo esto tomara más tiempo. Colapso La tarde del domingo, una ciudadana publicó un video en el que se observaba a dos vehículos atrapados en medio del puente La Cadena. Ambos automotores se vieron afectados debido al colapso de la infraestructura. Pese a la gravedad del suceso, solo una persona resultó con heridas leves.
