Funny and true story about this mug. It was given to me as a gift when I had my daughter. Fast forward 30 years, I tried downsizing my kitchen stuff. A bag of unused items were donated to a thrift store. I stopped in to shop a couple months later and saw this mug on the shelf and thought "oh thats cute- hey! its from the same hospital I gave birth to..." then I saw the slight chip on the bottom & knew it was the same cup. I felt sentimental feelings about the memories attached to the mug, so I paid .69 cents to bring her back home.

Huwee, I was tagged for mug shot Monday by the young and energetic @thisgingersnapped50

I finished my coffee by 9:00 AM and spent an hour with my therapist. That is my water jug in my hand. Coffee is a drug I take for narcolepsy and I have to be careful with it so I can sleep when it is time to sleep. Having trouble breathing for a few days now. Don't know if it is wood smoke or a virus but I'm starting to think it is viral and am taking steps to defend myself from them.

Sweetie dropped a jug of kefir on her bare foot last night, about a pint and a half and is feeling really gimpie this norning. I'm feeling like I accomplished a lot just putting some beans and rice into the slow cooker for dinner tonight so she doesn't have to do the cooking. Leftover chicken maybe a couple eggs and assorted veg to go in later.

Monday 13th November

Bit of a sad weekend - not sure why, just felt really down and anxious. Possibly bc lots of unanswered messages making me feel like everyone hates me even though I know fine well that they don't and they're just busy, same as me. So I didn't go out on Saturday night as planned, I stayed home with Maggie and had takeaway Thai food and a nice bubble bath and felt much better. Sunday was better, walked Maggie in glorious sunshine and then met up with a few girls from school for dinner and we had such a lovely time! It was so good to see them. One I see semi-regularly, but the other two I haven't seen since we left school 8 years ago. We had a good laugh and so much fun.

Today I walked Maggie and she saw her friends which was nice, we haven't seen them for a while. Drove Matt to uni bc it was pouring down and I didn't want him to have to cycle in. Went grocery shopping (also got a few Christmassy bits 🤭🤭) and came home for lunch. I've had my houmous bagel and Maggie has come for a cuddle.. and it's raining outside... I reeeally want to lay down and have a nap but I was planning to visit my nanna and Matt's grandma this afternoon so I need to try to enjoy my cuddles but stay awake so I can go and do the things in a little bit 😂

Last week in the hell hole starts tomorrow! 4 more shifts!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳

Mugshot Monday - "Red Peace Coffee MN Mug" by Deneen Pottery with Snowshoe Seasonal Blend by Peace Coffee

I have a thing for red Peace Coffee mugs made by Deneen Pottery, so I knew I'd be drinking coffee from this new mug sooner than later.

Way back 12 years ago, Peace Coffee made a little red smiling mug-on-a-mug that made me smile when I posted my Mugshot Monday.

This new one is awesome, too. I love the detail on the artwork--it's so intricate! Look closely and you'll see a rooster, a squirrels, a bicycle, a butterfly and more. I love it.

Week 1 - Mugshot Monday

Monday 11th March,

I got the provisional place in, Ceramics in Expanding Practice.

We bought in our favourite mug and discussed different types of cups: hand built, thrown and industrial.

We started out with a small project for week one. We drew out some design ideas for our mug.

Then we were given demonstrations for the slab building, pinch pot and handle making. We roll out terracotta clays to dry out a bit for after lunch.

I started to cut out shape from clay with paper guide and soften the edge with cloth. Then slip them together and let it alone to do a pinch pot.

I learned a pinch pot need a clay size of a lemon and I need to punch it together quickly so it doesn't dry out in my palm.

Pressing it down and pinch the interior with my thumb and hold the exterior with my other fingers in a circular direction.

Then I made a handle with fresh clay that needs to be thicker than the cup for it to hold the liquid later on.

~Our main project is called Narrative of the senses.

Narrative=storytelling (who,what,where,why and how)

Senses=touch,smell,sight,hearing and taste

Freshly trimmed bangs, wearing my Wynonna Judd shirt & backup pair of glasses. See the bells hanging on the door knob? My dog, Buck, rings it every 10 minutes- in spurts, all day long 😑 See my index finger holding the mug? I can't bend it cuz my skin is so thick and fissured-eczema. I made it out of bed, sittin here looking up how to help my old dog, Frances, with her hip pain and dysplasia. Shes walking on 3 legs now. Big rain on the way. My adult daughter brought me 3/20mg cbd/thc gummies yesterday to try & see if it helps my postop leg and fibro pain. I smoked some pot in the 90's, a little. I am afraid to try these gummies because I'm on 2 meds that have moderate drug interaction😬 Anyone use edible mmj and take antidepressant & lyrica?? Thoughts? please share...
