I don't think tom and zendaya are 100% pr but I do think they are milking it for all its worth. But I think the new spiderman movies are apart of a deal with sony. I think 2 of his future projects that we know of rn are going to be made by sony so its a you stay on for spiderman we will make you the lead of these movies. And 1 is a biopic so you know that they will be pushing for an oscar. I mean the angel actor from xmen signed a multimovie deal with fox studios so its probably the same deal.

but what i think is more interesting is wondering what happened between february 2021, when he was like "yeah i'd love to do several more of these movies", and july 2021, when he was like "maybe it's time for me to moveon.org"

extremely lukewarm take but i am now a firm believer that the least annoying way for multimovie franchises to exist is a la the mission impossible movies or the conjuring movies... basically theyre all loosely connected/have the same main characters, and the plots are a bit repetitive but thats fine! because each movie could also be wonderful standalone and you dont need to watch 20 other movies and tv shows just to get context for them! you go in, you know youre gonna watch ed and lorraine conjuring beat the shit out of some demons or youre gonna see tom cruise do some sick stunts and spy shit and explosions and its just a fun time.

and honestly ive enjoyed watching the conjuring and MI movies way more than the recent stuff that marvel is putting out and ill be the first to say the writing is better too. i dont think superhero fatigue is real bc i dont think "superhero" is a genre but I DO think were all just tired of needing to sit through an entire backlog's worth of movies just to get context for stuff. like I didn't even watch antman or dr strange and while I still understood the plot to infinity war and endgame well enough it just seemed strange and asspully and lazy just to see these random characters show up and do whatever it is they do

Hi! Just want to hear your opinion, do you think Steve will be in other Wonder Woman films?

(spoilers all over the place, if you haven’t seen the movie, stop reading)

i mean, there are sure way to bring him back if they’ll want to. chris pine has multimovie deal signed so if they’ll want to bring him back they can. i think this is mostly about what direction they’ll want to take wonder woman’s story and whole DC tbhon one hand, i understand why wouldn’t they want to bring him back: he is her origin story. if they bring him back wouldn’t that lessen his sacrifices value? and also he is the guy from 20’s, it would be tough to bring him into modern world…

but also it depends if they’ll want to go away from these ancient villains - because if the next villain will be hades, you can almost bet he is coming back as new version of bucky. i think it would be amazing if hades would bring steve back but he’s be forced to do his bidding and diana would have to fight him, because obviously steve trevor is the only person diana would never fight.

i’m also going back to clash of titans (yes i know thats not dc) where zeus brought back io for perseus - zeus is not dead in DC, he is just gone, he can come back anytime and what better gift to his daughter would be than man she loved.

but there are also other wonder woman villains where i think it would be difficult to bring him back, like i said, it all depends if they’ll run along with the ancient mythology or not.

- as for me, i wish they would because i do want to see steve trevor again and i think anyone else who would be brought in as diana’s love interest will have really hard time to compete with that. (i’m not w/onderbat fan, like i get it but no. and i could get behind super/wonder but clois… so none of that for me). basically if i can’t have steve back, give diana a girlfriend. it’s either steve or a lady for diana for me, everything else feels weird right now
