So, my day job is demanding pretty much all my spoons while I am also preparing for an artist alley. I miss this blog, I miss my partners, I miss playing in this space. I hope to be on here this evening if I don't fall asleep when I get home so feel free to send things to the ask box. If I feel up to it I will see what I can pick at in my drafts.

Today is the day of the funeral so I won't be on as much...

Below are some pictures I took at the wake yesterday (1/2/2024) for anyone who is curious...

He was a veteran, loving father/grandfather/Great grandfather, and above all else... He gave out three peppermints to people with a smile on his face and goodness in his heart ❤️

Yes, my grandfather is... Was a veteran. He will get a veterans funeral today with the gun salute and all.

Not every veteran gets this privilege and it is sad 😭

My children even started to cry when they realized he was gone... (Until everyone showed up then it was like they were on sugar crack 🤣) but they livened things up for a while till we had to go home... Even the funeral directors appreciated my children's lively attitude.

If you're wondering why he gave out ONLY 3 peppermints well, he was a Christian man who gave out the peppermints as a reference to the Father, the son, and the holy Ghost... With the white representing purity and the red representing his blood. Don't worry, he never pushed his belief on anyone as he believed God was the only judge... and if you believed what you believed then God should judge you for what you believe, if that makes sense. As long as you are a good person then you had no problems with him.

He only wished kindness and good faith for people~ everyone in the community called him "The Candy Man" (in a good way).

And he only gave the candy to adults as he wanted to teach children never to accept candy from strangers, only your parents as the parents are to be responsible for their children.

If you have read this far I appreciate your time and I will try to be on tomorrow (1/4/2024) in the afternoon... I just didn't want y'all to worry and keep you updated without upsetting y'all. It is a sad time for me and my family BUT it is also joyful... He is home and no longer in pain.

Vent Under the Cut:

I know it's been radio silence from me and even my queue is no longer running. At the beginning of this year, I spent far too much time working overtime at my work because we had issues with coworkers and keeping someone in a specific position.

I've been training nearly constantly for someone to fill the position so I wouldn't need to work those shifts and the person keeps falling through, or if they do stay call me on my days off to walk them through the entire process all over again multiple times a night.

So unfortunately I am kinda burning the candle at both ends and haven't been able to focus on anything. I'm struggling to write and draw because I'm constantly having to stop what I'm doing to answer questions I have on multiple instances before.

I don't want to have to drop any threads, but it's all going to depend on if I can get a few days to recharge my spoons as I am borrowing into next week just to get the typical chores done at home after work.

Bear with me guys. I love and appreciate all of you and your patience with me. Things are a bit rough but I'll get through it.

Starting to feel a little better, so I'm feeling like being active again. Sorry to all who started threads and whatever with me recently and then I vanished - got very sick.

I'm stepping back in again, but taking it slow.

Might also do an installment fic of Rio and Cairis being scrap hunters a la Lethal Company. Because the muns love the idea of their blorbos (am I using that correctly?) futzing about in that universe.

(Seriously: Rio's tail frizzed out to no end and absolutely flummoxed over Cairis' love of whoopie cushions. Come on, now.)

Small status update

Fever went up to 103.6 and I went to bed. Following morning temp was the same. the last meal i'd eaten was Wednesday morning at 2am it was a meal bar. Ate something at like 2ish threw up at 230. Made a doctor appointment was able to get same day. I go to the doctor at 3:30 thankfully its less than a 10 minute drive. I get checked in temp is down to 103.4. Doctor comes in I tell her about my draining sinuses, sneezing, the chills, headache, the lack of food and the fact I threw up. What do I get told The doctor basically said allergies cannot directly cause a fever but I think given everything you have allergies that have made your immune system go into overdrive which makes it weaker which can lead to sinus infections among other things. So odds are its that and when I asked about medication they pretty much said we can give you a nose spray but when I rejected that they told me to just take some otc allergy meds and that something like that should help but that they didn't want to give me a prescription for anything since well they didn't think it prudent given it'll just be a cycle with allergies

OOC: Hey guys. Bear with me for a bit when it comes to replies. Recently my job had a mass influx of people quitting/firings. This unfortunately means that I have been called in and working far more than I should be, and training people to boot.

I haven't had as much energy to work on my current drafts and they have piled up a bit. I'm going to try to work on them when I have the mental capacity but it might take me a bit to work up the spoons.

I am trying my best not to need to drop anything as I am having a blast with all my current threads and I don't want to leave them hanging but it might be a week or two until I can fully get back into the swing of things if my work stops trying to make me (the most senior person in my position) train all the newbies.

I've been having some...annoying. Art block. With regards to this blog.

The next thing I feel I need to work on is the interaction post I have going with @/orchid-151

I have it- more or less planned out, and some halfway complete sketches and some vague plans for the panels. But no matter how much I stare at it, no matter how many times I open the document, I can't work on it. Something about it...repels me. And I'm not sure what else I can work on for the blog, my inbox is a little...complicated. The few asks I do have are either really long paragraphs that confuse me or something short that I'm not exactly sure who to answer with and what to answer.

After all, my last posts showed Nyzak all upset in their room and Sarah getting ready to go to sleep.

All of this to say, as much as I really want to continue the story, and have plans for how it should go down, I have no inspiration or motivation to work on it. So, just to have SOMETHING to upload to quell that nagging feeling, I made this for y'all. Featuring my fursona.

So yeah...temporary hiatus. Could be a week, could be longer. Could be just a day. I feel the need to post something, so I posted something. Feel free to send asks in the meantime. Hey maybe your ask will drag me out of this funk and give my drive back! Wouldn't that be something ;)
