-Started out as a whisp of red in the movie so no AGAB, so any gender is trans for them

-In the comic their parents accuse them of being a changling that replaced their "Real" Child, so there's some queer angst

-They spend the movie being told it would be "easier" if they were just a girl and pushing against that

-"And now you're a boy." "I am today."

-"But l'm not a girl. I'm a shark!"

-The creator is also trans and this story seems to be very dear to him

-Any sympathetic monster story is gonna be heavy with the queerness, especially this one where the trans allegory is woven throughout every bit of the story

My Gonzo Headcannons

- Non binary, uses He/They pronouns mostly but can use all pronouns

- Doesn't like being hurt during his performances or really hurt at all, sure he loves it, but it hurts and everyone hits him all the time

- Takes a lot more therapy than anyone else and no one knows

- Loves action and adventure movies the most but also likes comedy and family

- Loves hugs

- Hates being called short, although whoever calls him little are not wrong

- one of the youngest members of the main cast, a lot of them call him kid still

- Has a lot of weird dreams but usually gets nightmares every so often

- Polyamarous /if you know you know

- Pansexual as they can date anyone or anything

- He shuts himself out from everyone when they're upset or something of that nature

- DO NOT MESS WITH HIM IF THEY'RE ANGRY(will probably throw starfish at you or tell the chickens to sic you)

- still wears they're Charles Dickens outfit out when it's cold and a lot of people want autographs which was unusual for him at first

- Likes to draw, he keeps his drawing journel hidden however
