Are you really gonna love me when I'm gone?
With all my thoughts
And all my faults
And it echoes when I breathe
'Til all you'll see is my ghost
Empty vessel, crooked teeth
Wish you could see
And they call me under
And I wither underneath in this storm ~

The Cat Symphony, one of his best-known hand drawings, is a humorous depiction of a melody for violins in which, instead of notes, numerous cats move across the paper.
The composition can be interpreted as a caricaturing dig at Richard Wagner's music, which the artist did not appreciate very much. Schwind gave the sheet to one of his friends, the violinist Joseph Joachim. The reason for the gift was Joachim's appointment as director of the Berlin Academy of Music. Schwind sent a letter and a photo of the drawing to Eduard Mörike on January 19, 1869. It says:
“I became a musician, and indeed a future musician in the second higher degree. Away with the old, stiff, dry staff! Outdated, outdated, old stuff - it needs a new, intellectual, lively means of expression for my new, unexpected thoughts - whether it's sounds, images or the devil knows what, that doesn't matter - I've achieved the unbelievable. Enclosed, Mr. The sonata dedicated to Joachim is eloquent proof. He confesses that he is unable to play it - this sorcerer on the fiddle! Incidentally, it may be noted that Joachim and I belong to the famous Order of the Black Cat and that it was this inconspicuous occasion - that caused this giant leap in music."

"You're a child in the garden. You're growing up; I'll watch you bloom."
I made this about two years ago, and I finally have the courage to post it. It's by no means an exceptional work of art, but it's based on my favorite song that Greta Van Fleet has ever put out, and that helped me through a lot. So, for them, I thought I would finally post it
