can we just talk about the hilda soundtrack for a moment (specifically season 3)

it’s so beautiful, the chimes and bells correlate so well, makes me think of the wilderness ironically.

some songs have intense spikes in noises, then just drops to a quiet hum. i dunno, i’ve just never heard anything really like it.

my two favorite out of the bunch is Above the clouds, and The End.

Above the clouds just sends shivers down my spine. Although it’s only about a minute long, I can literally feel the sense of adventure in the notes lmao

The End mashes up a bunch of previous songs and it’s really clever to make something new out of the already made music.

I also love bottom of the sea but that’s an obvious answer

Just wondering, but what music or soundtracks do you listen to while your reading/writing Zutara?

Another good question Anon.

So lately I've been listening to John Williams score for Memoirs of a Geisha, the Blue Eye Samurai has a really good score, Hero (Tan Dun), Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon (Also Tan Dun with Yo Yo Ma) and the Shang Chi score (that's actually how I found Dallas Liu in the movie) but anywho, that's what I've been listening to when I am in fanfiction mode.

I kind of like to compare the scores with the elements, so like the Fire Nation (or Zuko and Katara scenes) is Hero, Earth Kingdom is Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Blue Eye Samurai is a mix between Water and Fire as well... mostly for spirit stuff, and Shang Chi is Air Nomad.

But that's pretty much it.

All of them are good scores with cultural themes. I love them, and they help me to set up some amazing scenes in my head.

Listening to a lot of Elliott Smith again. His music meant the world to me during 2016 when I was getting my autism diagnosis. I had a lot of weird emotions about it and his music was the one way I coped.
