Please don’t look towards others on what “prepared for ramadan” looks like. You don’t need Ramadan decorations. You don’t need a ramadan journal. You don’t need these things to be considered 'prepared'.
The intention & sincerity in wanting to change in our hearts is all we need.
Also please remember some people don’t have the same luxuries as others in terms of how they spend Ramadan.
If this is you, don’t put yourself down. Focus on doing the obligatory acts of worship to the very best you can and slowly add in any extra’s wherever you can.

Get used to saying “Alhamdulilah” consistently, in every situation. Regardless of if you are having a great day or a very difficult one, that one word leaves so little room for dissatisfaction and complaining. Whatever happens, say “Alhamdulilah” and smile, even if it's through the tears. Praise Allah for everything. Praise Him for ease, for hardship, for blessings, and for tests. He deserves that praise and more, if not only for the fact that He has planned your life out with such wisdom and mercy.

Ingat, kamu sangatlah berharga.

Dear Muslims,
No matter what conditions you may endure; whether you enjoy great or bad times, whether you are healthy or sick,or you have achieved success or caught in failure, you always need him.
Therefore, seek refuge in Him through prayers. And how can we not pray to Allah, when He says:
وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ٱدْعُونِىٓ أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ
“Call upon Me;I will answer you.”

This is one of the most beautiful and amazing pieces of advice by the great scholar Imam Ibn al-Qayyim (رحمه الله ﷻ ):
A friend will not (literally) share your struggles, and a loved one cannot physically take away your pain, and a close one will not stay up the night on your behalf.
So look after yourself, protect yourself, nurture yourself and don't give life's events more than what they are really worth.
Know for certain that when you break no one will heal you except you, and when you are defeated no one will give you victory except your determination.
Your ability to stand up again and carry on is your responsibility.
Do not look for your self worth in the eyes of people; look for your worth from within your conscious. If your conscious is at peace then you will ascend high and if you truly know yourself then what is said about you won't harm you.
Do not carry the worries of this life because this is for Allah. And do not carry the worries of sustenance because it is from Allah. And do not carry the anxiety for the future because it is in the Hands of Allah.
Carry one thing: How to Please Allah. Because if you please Him, He pleases you, fulfils you and enriches you.
Do not weep from a life that made your heart weep. Just say, "Oh Allah compensate me with good in this life and the hereafter."
Sadness departs with a Sajdah. Happiness comes with a sincere Du'a. Allah does not forget the good you do. Nor does he forget the good you did to others and the pain you relieved them from. Nor will He forget the eye which was about to cry but you made it laugh.
Live your life with this principle : Be good even if you don't receive good, not because of others' sake but because Allah loves those who do good

Perhaps what we desperately pray for isn’t granted. But He only withholds a blessing from us to replace it with a hundred unanswered prayer.

How are some of us self righteous? We have to be aware that it’s from Allah’s mercy he has provided a veil over our sins.
“If people are impressed with you, don’t think they are impressed with you, they are impressed by the beauty of Allah’s cover of your sins.” -Ibn Al Jawzi
Being proud of your good deeds, feeling better than those around you and just simply arrogant when it comes to your faith is really a slippery slope.
“And do not claim yourselves to be pure, He is most knowing of who has righteous” -Quran 53:32
May Allah protect us from this and may we remember that it’s not because of who we are but rather because Allah granted us the ability to do such deeds and gifted us the opportunity because of His generosity.

Prophets gained experience about the works of the Ummah by herding Sheep because when they became involved with Sheep, they practiced PATIENCE during herding Sheep and picking them up after they scatterd and transporting them from one grassland to the other taught RESPONSIBILITY and also PROTECTION (from the Wild Animals and Thieves around).Prophets saw and experienced the differences in the NATURE of animals, the violent disagreements among one another in spite of their weaknesses. In this profession Prophets also learned to live a life of SIMPLICITY.
By this way,Prophets became familiar with gaining patience for their Ummah, understanding the changes in their nature and their duty of responsibility and protection of their Ummah.
So,they showed mercy to their weak Ummah, wrapped their wounds and got along with them.
~Those who herd Sheep can tolerate the challenges of these kinds of attitude far more easily than sudden starters. When a person works as a shepherd,he learns to deal with these issue gradually.
Why Sheep? One might wonder why Sheep and not the Camels since the Arabs raised Camels. The reason is simple!
Camel is an arrogant and tough animal. You starve it for days and it will not complain.
But Sheep are small and weak. They require more of your care and attention.
Similarly, human beings are of all types. The weak ones require more care and attention; you cannot treat them with harshness.
