It seems like we stick up for the rich and Powerful far more than our poor. Like if somebody is in a marginalized group, we will push up their most profitable version of that group instead of pointing out how capitalism as a whole abuses multiple groups. Sellouts and evil people come out from every nook and cranny. There's literally no group of people that can't be corrupted by their own choices. What I'm saying is directly immediately Bill Gates and Elon Musk are just as fucking evil as Beyoncé and Taylor swift. Being female or different color doesn't mean you don't abuse the world with your wealth. If anything it defines the abuse. Fuck all billionaires and anybody on their way to that wealth. I genuinely hope you somehow choke on your tongue and nobody finds your body for years. You profit off of the exploitation of a fake currency and rigged market. Tell me how you are not the bad person? Because if you can't, you are. It's kind of like all cops are bastards. Sure there's a couple good stories, but not enough to make it genuinely worthwhile to let them exist. At least as they stand. I have a simple rule. If you get rich exploiting poor vulnerable people, You're a bad person. Whether it be Health Care to overpriced concerts. Please tell me where I'm wrong. I'm genuinely seeing this out loud. Please tell me where I'm wrong. Because sometimes these people, who are vulnerable because of your system of exploitation have nothing to live for but entertainment for a little bit. Then you take their money anyways instead of helping. How are you not the fucking bad person?

The Butterfly Ball And The Grasshopper's Feast

This is not the rock opera soundtrack, but a musical setting of the book by Alan Aldridge and William Plomer on which it is based. The book is a set of poems, with the most gorgeous illustrations for each one.

We had the book and 1975 recording (on LP!) when I was a child. I loved to listen while reading/looking at the book. However, an LP meant using the good record player, so generally I had to make do with just the book. (This was the 1990s - we had a CD player, but my parents' music collection had been accumulated in the age of vinyl).

The pair of "Homeward" tracks are a personal favourite.
