We’ve never really seen Godzilla’s atomic breath interpreted as a closer ranged, concussive and explosive, shotgun-like force before. Could be an awesome idea.
As a gift, I deliver you the cringe as promised ;)
I mean, Godzilla and his gang tried... at least? Poor Santa
(Can you guys guess which present belongs to whom? If you can guess correctly, I'll give you a cookie!)
Initially, this comic was going to abt something completely different, but then I changed it cos it didn't make any sense. It was also supposed to have a different ending but I didn't have time and effort.
I know new kaiju designs are always unfairly compared with the old classics, but I'll never understand why some people didn't like the Muto from Godzilla 2014.
These things were weird, alien and very cool. A strange mix of insectoid and reptilian or mammalian features, with a unique series of howls and cries all their own (I particularly loved the female Muto's battlecry when she first charged at Godzilla).
The only thing that really killed it for me in the film is that their EMP abilities weren't as well addressed as they were in the novelization. In the book the male Muto is able to stifle Godzilla's atomic breath with his EMP burst, something you would have expected from a species built to parasitize Godzilla's species. I really wish the film had touched on that even a little bit.
