Having had a look at the venue, Andi had to wonder just how many favors Mary Jane had to call in just to book this place. A resort hotel? The kind that only rich fat-cats and movie stars can get in to? Andi never once thought she’d even set foot into one of these, let alone have her wedding here.

After having explored the building at least twice, sitting in one of the lounges and watching guests arrive, Andi had gone to one of the change rooms to put on her wedding attire. After much thought, she had decided to go with the tux, while she didn’t mind wearing skirts, she much preferred this... and she’d gotten her bride-to-be and MJ’s blessing to wear her combat boots.

She took a moment to adjust her tie, she’d done these plenty of times for her Dad, not often mind you, there weren’t many occasions for a handyman to wear a tie, but even so, she had gotten good at it... A momentary wave of sadness pulls at her. Dad... she really wished he could have been alive today to see this.

No, she couldn’t cry now, she’d have to do her makeup all over again, besides, it was her wedding day, probably the best day of her life. A tap on the door snaps her out of her funk, and the familiar voice of Flash Thompson is heard from the other side. “You doing alright in there kiddo?”

“Y-Yeah, just-- I’ll be out in a second!” She called back, quick to wipe a tear away and take one last look in the mirror to make sure her mascara hadn’t smudged.

She pushed the door open, Flash was on the other side, dressed in a military uniform, stripes and medals displayed on his breast pocket, and a beret tucked under his arm. No cane, he was likely using Anti-Venom to form his legs. “Tie’s looking a little crooked there, want me to fix it?” He asked.

“Um, sure.” She nodded, rubbing her head as Flash reached over to fix up her tie and straighten it out. “Guess I just... got my head in the clouds. Also just kinda wish that... you know, he could’ve been here.”

Finishing up with her tie, Flash pat her shoulder, and began to escort her out of the room towards the main venue as guests were beginning to fill seats. Andi’s guests on one side, Mayday’s on the other, lots of superheroes, plus the guardians... Andi tried to stifle a giggle as she saw Hilla try to pick a fight with Groot. “He’d be proud of you, you know that right?” Flash reassured his protégée as he put his beret on.

“I know.”

“Looks like everyone else is ready to get started, let’s get to our spot and get this show on the road... congrats Andi.”

It’s easy for some to say a simple ‘see you soon’ when they are leaving into uncertainty. He knows that they’ll write often. He knows she’ll wait. Just like he’d wait for her if they had sent her somewhere far out of reach. They’d always make it work. Still, there’s a little bit of a cynical part in his brain that had told him to say goodbye.

“Okay, alright.” He hates to upset her for any reason and this is already upsetting enough. He doesn’t need to add more to it. “Then how about...” He thought for a moment. He had charisma most of the time. But, Danny had always been better at grand speeches than he had been, sometimes he got them right but it was sort of by accident. “Till we meet again?”

She’d never even been outside Bournemouth before, aside from a few school field trips to London, and now she was thousands of miles away from home, from the pier, from the souvenir shop she wrecked, from her parents who, at the moment, were not speaking to her. They can’t quite find the words, or they’re still mad at her about the souvenir shop.

She didn’t know what to do with herself now that she’s in New York, in this giant boarding school, where she didn’t know anyone. So she kept to herself, it was sad. She was sad.      Talking to Jean felt... Odd. Not terrible, but not quite comfortable, either. Time travel put a strain on how he viewed even his closest relationships, not to mention his struggle to connect to people in general. And given that his travel was inexact and hard to control, it always took a bit to get his bearings on when he was. That being said, it was good to see her.

     "Still hard to believe a place this big's supposed to have been a house at one point. Can't imagine what you'd do with all that room." Safe subject- at least he hoped. Small talk always felt like a weird necessity.

Wanda was about to say no when she turned to look at the other woman. She knew Nat wasn’t going to take no for an answer, especially when she was already holding the jacket out to her and they could both see that she was shivering. Muttering a soft thank you, she took the jacket and slipped it on, moving in a little closer to the other. “Maybe we can snuggle together.”
