Im being stuffed fool of fruit salad, whipped cream and chocolate chip waffles. I rub my enormous stomach before my feeder struggles under my flab to unbutton my extremely tight shirt. My tee is starting to cling to my rolls but I figure I have a few weeks before I eat my way out of it.
The first course was shake and bake, roasted potatoes, corn on the cob and sourdough bead laden with butter. The second course with a cheese and pepperoni stuffed crust pizza with extra-extra cheese.
“I really put it away today,” I moan, my swollen face stained with with creams and sauces. “Just wait until I unveil you pre-midnight snack, tubby.” She whispers in ear. Her thin wrists and hands disappear in the rolls as my stomach when she climbs up to dissapear to me.

APH/HWS Nordics as Quotes from My 600lb. Life (Assanti Brothers Saga)
~
{ I just finished watching the whole ASSanti Brothers Saga from My 600lb. Life and just… wow. Mind you, this wasn’t the first time I’ve seen it. I’ve actually lost count, but I’m just as appalled, disgusted, saddened, and amused as the first time I watched those episodes. But it also gave me some very cursed inspiration for a shitpost, so now you get to suffer with me. 😈 }
Denmark: “Stop antagonating each other!”
Norway: “I would ask how y’all doing, but I have an idea.”
Finland: “Let me put this in plain speak: You came from up north, but this is Texas. You have to shape up in Texas and behave like people down here.”
Sweden: “I am really annoyed right now because my brother broke the bed… because he weighs 800lbs.”
Iceland: “Stop doing all these weird things!”

fatphobia will really make you (even more) ashamed that you experienced CSA because there’s a stereotype of “got fat in response to CSA” on tv shows like my 600 lb life etc. and the trauma stories are always trotted out in the most degrading fucking way to elicit pity for the fat person while still reveling in their bodily abjection
and dear god I don’t want to be defined by any of this

I don't often go on rants about stuff, especially not on a platform like this but like I feel this one in my bones so whatever.
My mom watches a lot of TLC's 600 pound life on tv and the show really rubs me the wrong way. Like So many of the people on the show are trauma victims who have taken up over eating as a form of coping. Either that or they have some other issue that links back to their disordered eating in other ways. All of them have sobbing interviews where they say they feel disgusted woth themself and how could they be so disgusting and etc. etc. and the whole show feels like Predatory to me. It preys on people who have a poor coping mechanism, and their insecurities to cater to a thin public who watch them get Surgery done in order to loose weight and then the problem is solved! they loose their weight and all of a sudden participate in society again.
And yes, there are some episodes where the patient goes to therapy and address their issues. However, the majority of the show feels dehumanizing to these people as the camera showcases the parts of them they hate; the camera shows them needing help to wipe on the toilet and how Helpless they are getting around and zooms in on them eating a burrito or whatever, all so the audience can feel properly repulsed and disgusted for this Sick person who is "ruining their body". Then they get berated by a doctor on television. Often with the patient ending up in tears on camera Just for a shot at a surgery that they believe will cure their issue. that is suppossed to help them lose the weight because thats the part that everyone is always hung up on. How much weight they lost. They frame it like they are reclaiming their life and happy, and they often do end up that way! But the emphasis on the numbers lost and the size difference frames it in a toxic manner.
These people get Discouraged when their weight loss slows down and they are "stuck" at 187 pounds or they become obsessive about the loose skin they have after weoght loss and anyone with critical thinking can see that they have just swapped disordered habits. And the show doesn't care about them because its suppossed to be inspiring and uplifting to watch this person who ruined their life lose weight and get the help they so desperately needed. It's supposed to be a "feel-good" show, but really 600 pound life just is a spectacle for a thin public who want to see major results and a person get "healthy" when actually the patient is often left untreated for the actual problem.

More stream-of-consciousness musings related to the topic I was posting about yesterday. (I'm really really tired. This may not make tons of sense or hold together that well.)
Suppose that controversies over universal health care were to get focused on how unaffordable necessary surgeries are for too many people, and the whole thing became framed as a debate over whether or not people should have access to surgery. I wonder if then there would be a substantial number of activists walking around with stickers or signs saying "I <3 Surgery".
I bring up this hypothetical because it seems like such a motto would be an absurd choice, but actually I could kind of see why some people might proclaim it. This is hard for me to relate to, but some circumstances lead a person to be overjoyed about getting some kind of surgery, when it may save or vastly improve their life (I've seen this overjoyed reaction on My 600-lb Life for instance, and then there are trans folks who desperately want transition surgery, and so on), and that's a valid emotion to have without being obligated to carry along with it the baggage of wishing circumstances in the first place were different so they wouldn't need surgery. My own point of view is of someone who is a wimp about medical procedures in general, has never had any kind of major surgery, and finds the idea terrifying (both the procedure itself and the aftermath).
If we add to our hypothetical universe the supposition that there's an anti-surgery pushback by people who think getting surgery is wicked and evil (see Christian scientists maybe? and certainly some of the more extreme anti-trans types currently, about certain types of surgery?), then it would be even more understandable to want to proclaim "I <3 Surgery" to signal opposition. I still think it would be kind of a dumb, tasteless, and ineffective idea though.
Another hypothetical that occurred to me today is that someone on the left-wing side of fiscal issues, wanting to push back on Republican tax-cut and anti-benefits-programs policies, might go around with a sticker saying "I <3 Taxes". In fact, the hypothetical circumstance is perfectly real at least in the current US political environment, yet I've never run across an "I <3 Taxes" sticker. It seems unthinkably silly. And it's even the case that there's a certain subset of people to push back against, who think taxes are inherently a form of evil: the "Taxation is theft!" libertarians.
A variant on this, by the way, would be "I <3 Paying Taxes", which I think is already kind of implied by "I <3 Taxes", or at least that's how many people would understand it. But I think this variant illustrates my point (to the extent that I have one) even more clearly. Because nobody, unless they're trying to be really edgy or advertise themself as both wealthy and super generous, truly expects anyone to believe that they enjoy paying taxes. (I distinctly remember then-Senator Obama mentioning that he hated paying taxes in order to make a point in his third debate against McCain in 2008!) And it seems kind of insensitive to those who aren't rich but do have to pay some substantial taxes and feel financially limited by it, even if said people are Democrats who happen to favor those taxes.
Either way, it just seems like something that you wouldn't see, which is perhaps why I feel so taken aback by how many people are happy to go around saying "I <3 Abortions". (Counterargument: perhaps we would see "I <3 Taxes" if only the political Overton window didn't restrict most of us to the view that taxes are generally bad except possibly when forced on the rich: note that certain left-wing types, most notably AOC, are willing to go walk around proclaiming "Tax the rich!". I'm still not super supportive of this tactic, but it makes a lot more sense to me than "I <3 Taxes" would.)

I've gained so much weight lately I both look and feel like I'm about to pop. I'm getting ready to gorge myself on chicken nuggets, fries and cheeseburgers until I can't get my fat ass off the couch. And I'm going to wash it down with a Diet Coke of course. My jeans are ready to explode at the seams and I can't stop stuffing my face.

Scout says Sundays are for being lazy and editing that Valeria/Gabby mini you halfway posted in the summertime because sometimes you can be a POS and don’t see things through completion for no reason other than being scared
Scout also has a baby kitty cold 😔 her previous family kept her outside because of family members having cat allergies. Fortunately it doesn’t get very cold here - but we recently had lows in the teens/20s. She seems a little better today. Maybe being inside where it’s warm will help her. My poor little nugget 🥺
Also I told the girls at work I named her Scout and one of them said “oh so it’s a boy?” 🙄
