Left the DSP fandom and wada fandom since somewhere in 2018 or 2019 and the fact that there’s still ppl complaining about me blocking them in this year of 2023. It's a C for me just because of pure range. It can be very good A+ tier, or it can make me want brain bleach, F- tier. I think it's best done slow burn and with both improving over time to realize it was not black-and-white good guy bad guy in the beginning because people are more complicated than that.... this is a odd question but why do you hate hao x jeanne?

I think a few years back I had a similar question like this before but come to think of it, I kind of never fully expanded my deeper reasonings on why I despise the pairing so strongly so here's a full incoming salty rambling I'm about to unleash

Why I hate Hao x Jeanne as a pairing:

I basically hate seeing Jeanne getting paired up romantically with anyone except Ren. Ren is the exception. And I am always loyal to the ships I am very, very heavily into.

2001 anime, I hated that Hao nearly burn Jeanne to death.

He has literally had the intention to kill/murder her AND almost KILLED her, almost resulting in her DEATH. Usually enemies to lovers ship trope can be a hit or miss for me at times, depending on the ship. HaoJeanne on the other hand, just doesn't click for me in this case due to the 2001 anime showcasing THAT.

I can't see the romantic appeal when it comes to Hao ships. It's really boring to me because most of the Hao ships always have the same trope of Hao being all smug and shit while character B is annoyed. These can be find in other Hao ships such as

HaoRen: Hao is smug and Ren is annoyed

HaoLyserg: Hao is smug and Lyserg is pissed/annoyed

HaoAnna: Hao is smug and Anna is annoyed

HaoJeanne: Hao is smug and Jeanne is annoyed

It's overused and I find it incredibly super boring when it comes to Hao and shipping. I just can't find any romantic appeal with Hao. I just can't vibe with it.

Not to mention, let's not also forget Hao killed off the X-laws members, some of the members were also if not, considered important to Jeanne; they were like family to her in a way. While I do know the fact that they LATER get revived by the end of the series, it still rubs me the wrong way-- To have your important people you knew, had a connection with but to be later get killed off in a horrific way, I can't imagine how devastated Jeanne must have deeply felt deep down when she saw the people that were important to her getting killed in the cruelest way during the Shaman fight. (And yeah, she also did shed tears (outside from her Iron Maiden with bloody tears) from reaction. I think they also expanded more on her POV and feelings about this in a special story in Funbari Chronicles which I have yet to translate oops)

I'd rather ship Jeanne with someone that treats her right, respecting her and showing her kindness then to be paired off with Hao. Hao does not have any of those qualities, neither any "romantic" qualities in general either

And every time I see this ship, my blood easily boils because I feel like it disrespects Jeanne. And as a huge Jeanne lover and fan who really loves Jeanne a lot, fuck this pairing.

And if anyone likes this ship, then cool. If it clicks for you and you can make it work in your AUS/fanart/fics, then good for you! Go absolutely wild and have fun with it! But for me personally, it's a ship I will forever despise and stay the hell as away from it as far as possible.

Nightcrawler is my favourite across the board, though I'm not the biggest fan of his super angsty bummer iterations. I feel he's much more interesting as the kind and hopeful character than the grimdark murder and shadows guy. That's sort of an oversaturated market, anyways. Obviously faith and morality are really big facets of his life but like. Some writers dig into what that MKTIVATES him as a person, and others seem to just use it as a prop to enhance an edgy aesthetic. Which is.... fine, but not my jam, personally.

And I really like Storm and Rogue's dynamic in the 80's cartoons. They had girlfriend energy.

Scott is a Ross. I'm sorry. He is the Ross of this friend's group. I understand why he's Like That but he still annoys me.

Wolverine is also a favourite, but I feel like his relationship with Jean is just so, so incredibly bland, ESPECIALLY in the movies and cartoons. We just never see them getting along or hanging out or indicating that they even LIKE each other, but the narrative keeps forcing a love triangle???? Like damn son, she's in a committed relationship with captain stick-up-his-ass, move on. It would be WAY funnier and make way more sense if they just said "yeah they aren't actually romantic interests, he just flirts with her in front of her BF because it gets a rise our of him". They're basically already doing that anyways. Ugh. Idk it's a NOTP from me gentlemen

Zutara. They are my only OTP that isn't canon, but they should have been. Hayley and Andy from Modern Family is next. I'm honestly not happy at how they handled Hayley's arc in general. The writers were so cruel to her! I'm still not over it, and I'm mulling over a fix-it fic for her (one-shot probably). Ichabbie (Ichabod Crane and Abbie Mills) are in third place, but a very distant third. I lost all respect for Sleepy Hollow after how they treated both Abbie the character and Nichole Beharie the actress.

10. Is there any ship you used to dislike but now you think they are kind of interesting?

...no. Not really. I mean, I guess you could count CaptainSwan from OUAT, but that's less I didn't like the ship and more I wanted to get rid of Emma so EYE could have Hook.

I mean...probably? I can't think of any right now. I only have a handful of ships that I care enough about to talk about, and most of them don't appear on my blog, so...🤷🏾‍♀️

Mai/Aang (or Flying Dagger as I call them). I don't even really consider this a crack ship. Don't get me wrong, I see them being a disaster together, but not in a cracky sort of way. More of a reality show couple way.

13. Who is the couple you read more fanfics of?

Zutara these days. It used to be more of an even split between my top 3 ships, but the fact that I get around to reading anything these days feels like an accomplishment.

Powerful women and the powerful men who would die protecting them. Also, powerful women and the powerful men who are their biggest cheerleaders

15. What do you absolutely hate in a ship?

I mean...pick a trait from Kataang, and that's pretty much it. Hero gets the girl because he's the hero; the woman becomes the supportive background partner no matter how powerful and ambitious she was before she got with him; Man can't control his violent outburst without his partner's help. Kataang is the embodiment of everything I hate in a ship.

tbf I think people are fair to find talking-ToothlessxHiccup stuff creepy in the same way they do HorsexRider from Centaurworld icky- not because there's any irl connotations with animals but because in canon that's just a very nonsexual relationship because it's a pet and it's owner. It crosses that same barrier as incestshipping for me even w all parties are adult and consenting- my aroace spectrum legit can't get over how this particular thing designed to be unsexy by the writers is made by someone watching it to be sexy in different contexts; but, I'll manage. ((also yes I'm implying that if a feral characterxhuman bodied character's canon relationship is portrayed smexual I don't care. mf this has been in fairytales since the dawn of time.
