Hey guys. I know tumblr isn’t the best place to put this but I could really use your help, for a while now I've been trying to at the least identify the artist who sings the cover of My Blue Heaven in the MASH movie and tv show pilot. I believe the cover is in Japanese, I'm assuming it's 40's/50's due to when the movie/tv show takes place but it could be older.

When I try things like Shazam all it does is direct me to the soundtrack for the Mash movie but it's mostly an audio clip with part of the song, not the whole song and looking in the IMDB page for the movie only gave me who originally wrote My Blue Heaven, it's the same for the show. I've found many Japanese covers of the song while looking, some coming close and while they're all nice I haven't managed to find this specific cover. I would love to be able to identify the artist and hopefully find an unedited version as it's a really pretty cover.

you can either enjoy the drawing on its own or read an unnecessarily long summary of an au that involves multiple Rick Moranis films at once...

It starts at the dentist visit scene with Orin, Seymour has second thoughts about killing him and feels guilty for killing a man despite his actions towards Audrey, so he helps Orin get the gas mask off and offers that (with the gun still pointed to him) he will let him live if he leaves Skid Row and sees him in X amount of years. 

Within that time, he marries Audrey and they have kids (Amy and Nick from Honey, I Shrunk the Kids) in Somewhere That’s Green. He distracts himself with science to get away from the nightmare of gardening that reminds him of Audrey II, this later leading to the events of Honey, I Shrunk the Kids (We Shrunk Ourselves could be canon, I Blew Up the Kid is not canon). 

After this incident, Seymour takes a step back from science as well and becomes an accountant. He takes a business trip to NY, residing in Shandor Building at 55 Central Park West on the 22nd floor to support a long-distance client in audit. He is not as attracted to Dana Barrett as Louis Tully was written to, but he still feels some romantic attraction for her. He hosts his anniversary party, etc., Ghostbusters 1984 plot follows. Because Bill Murray plays Peter Venkman, in this au he’s substituted for Arthur Denton. Seymour recognizes him from his voice, and they become acquaintances by the end of the film.

He moves back to Somewhere That’s Green, but that lasts for a short 5 or so years before he meets Orin again in California (things get a bit odd around here, as I had to drive over the witness protection program part of My Blue Heaven, which is a big part of the film. Bear with me). Seymour explains to him that he wants to get him back on his feet, since after Orin left Skid Row he turned to joining the mafia up until now, where he decided it was best to get back to a semi normal life in dental work. Orin accepts this offer gladly, and relatively the same plot goes through. The end i guess
