Rex hums softly as he types on his datapad, he’s been given a few new leads on brothers and is trying to make sense of it all. Especially some interesting information on a clone with a triangular tattoo who is a rule stickler, as one contact put it. He looks up when Crosshair comes in, smiling softly as he takes in the sight before him.

His love is shirtless, which shows off the bump on his middle of their baby. He’s only five months so it’s still small, but on his lean figure it definitely pops out. His jogging pants hang low on his hips as he pads over to Rex, looking exhausted.

“Busy night?” Rex asks with a low, rumbling chuckle.

Crosshair sighs as he lays in bed, moving so his head is in Rexs lap and he curls up. “I’ve been teaching Omega to garden all day, she’s so… energetic.”

He murmurs. “And the baby is still making me throw up so much, I’m achy and I just…” he sighs. “I just love hanging out with my niece so much, is just tough being pregnant. Rewarding, since I get a whole kriffing baby out of it but still tough.” He whispers.

Rex croons and gently rubs Crosshair’s head. “I know it’s tough, love. You sound so tired.” He says softly, gently putting his datapad down to play with Crosshair’s hair.

Crosshair sighs tiredly, eyes skipping closed as he lets out the softest noise of pleasure. “So tired.” He mumbles, nuzzling into Rexs lap. “Why did you do this to me?” He whines.

Rex snorts. “Because my kitten wanted a baby, and frankly so did I. Pabu is safe, and it was the perfect time.” He explains as if Crosshair doesn’t know.

Crosshair blushes, chuckling tiredly. “That’s… a good reason.” He crawls up Rex and then just sprawls over him, head on his chest. “Hmm, I’m your blanket.” He mumbles, getting a drunk in sleepiness vibe to him.

Rex chuckles. “You are, kitten. But how about we move? That can’t be comfy on your bump.” He gently pulls Crosshair up beside him, and starts cuddling him close in his arms. “Mhm, see? Much better.” He says softly, kissing Crosshair‘s head and nuzzling him. He then tucks him until a blanket.

Crosshair purrs softly, cuddling into Rex. “You’re right, much…” he yawns. “Better.”

Rex chuckles. “You sleep baby, I love you so much.” He whispers.

“Hm, okay.” Crosshair sighs, and lets him drift into a calm sleep.

Rex smiles and decides to get some shuteye as well, closing his eyes and letting Crosshair’s smooth breathing lull him to sleep.

“Rex.” The drowsy voice, still raspy from sleep rouses Rex from his dose. He sighs and peeks an eye open. “Crossy?” He mumbles softly. “What’s… Whats goin’ on?” He asks, still have asleep.

Crosshair whines. “Baby’s kicking. Make it stop, please?”

Rex let’s out a raspy laugh. “How do I do that? Ground him.”

Crosshair huffs and sleepily pulls Rex's hand onto his small bump. “Rub. Please baby?” He asks softly.

Who could ever say no to this sweet kitten? Who just looks so tired. Rex chuckles and starts rubbing. “I’ve got you, baby.” He assures. “I’ve always got you, I promise.”

Crosshair instantly melts at the rub, sighing softly. “Thank you.” He sighs. “So much. Thank you. Thank you.” He mumbles softly.

“No thanks necessary.” Rex rumbles, and he smiles when he feels a kick. “Hello baby boy, how are you?” He coos, gently rubbing the spot. “Not giving Papa too much trouble, yeah?” He asks, smiling softly.

Crosshair chuckles. “Nah, just the normal amount.” He grins softly, still looking sleepy as he yawns and cuddles close.

Rex chuckles. “Sleepy.” He kisses Crosshair’s head before sliding down and gently kissing his belly. “Baby, let’s see if Daddy can get your Papa to fall asleep by kissing his tummy.” He whispers, and keeps pressing soft kisses to Crosshair’s belly.

Crosshair chuckles, yawning loudly. “Just might work.” He mumbles tiredly, the little kicks make him sigh happily. He loves feeling his baby, no matter how much he may complain.

Rex smiles, and starts following the little kicks with his lips, tracing a line over the soft skin of Crosshair’s bump. He hums when he feels the soft hairs that have started to sprout on his loves belly, remembering the grumpiness that accompanied the realisation that growing hair on the bump was a normal pregnancy symptom.

Rex chuckles at the sweet memory, feeling another little thump against his lips, his heart warming and filling with so much love for the little being he’s hardly even met yet.

Suddenly a loud snore startles him, and he looks up to see his darling husband snoring away, a bit of drool hanging from his open mouth.

Rex smiles and crawls back up, covering them both up as he snuggles his husband close. How did he ever get this lucky? He doesn’t know, but no matter what happens now, he knows that as long as their family is together. It will be the perfect life.
