I love that they all visited him, each in their own way. It was heavily implied in the documentary that these weren’t isolated incidents either—that his teammates visited him pretty regularly. It speaks so beautifully to the kind of captain he is—that when he needed his team most, they didn’t leave him to face his recovery alone. They really are a family, in every sense of the word; when one of their number is down, they rally around him. 🥰

He'd be understanding of course, try not to distract you too much, but if he just so happens to need your help in the kitchen after a trying, and failing, to make you something after you've been working a few hours, well it was an unavoidable accident after all

But of course he's pulling you away every few hours, with a completely different totally legitimate excuse every time

Oh haven't you heard? If you two don't cuddle right this second he might actually die, you wouldn't do that to him? Right??

And then him writing you a new song that you just have to listen to that moment is also totally legitimate, you would deny your most favorite follower that honor, just only focus on him for a little while won't you?

When he's not annoying you, be prepared to just randomly find snacks and water right next to you with cute little notes that you didn't even see him place

And if you're just really insistent on working through the night he's gonna come up behind you and immediately wrap his arms around you, much to your surprise, and complain in his softest voice that he just can't sleep without his beloved right there next to him, can't you just indulge him for a little while? not trauma culture, i just wanted to ask and make sure if you support the idea of "narc/npd abuse" ?

i absolutely don't. i'm sure there are many resources people can access explaining why demonizing an entire group of people based on what disorder(s) they have is bad, so i'll keep this brief, but what it essentially does is harms innocent people and removes the agency of abusers.

people who abuse others chose to do so. even if they're not aware of their abuse, they chose to take abusive actions. saying that someone is abusing people because they have a disorder takes that accountability away from their actions because they "can't stop themself". the same goes for any other mental illness- people with bpd, depression, adhd, etc aren't predispositioned to be abusive or toxic, so why would people with npd?

on the flip side, someone who's doing their best to manage their npd symptoms and is very cautious and aware of how they might hurt people will still get attacked just for having a stigmatized disorder. (even if they aren't managing their symptoms well, or they have hurt people in the past, they don't deserve to be harassed for having a disorder. people don't deserve to be harassed in the first place.)

i feel like personality disorders are probably some of the most affected by stigmatization and casual ableism. every mental illness has horrible stereotypes and gets discriminated against, obviously (this isn't a competition, everyone loses) but i've never seen more vile insults than those directed towards people with npd or aspd.

just call it emotional abuse.

okay I don't even know where to START with this one I have so many ideas kjdhkjhs (and 10k of random scenes written that I'm going to have to figure out how to piece together somehow BUT) it was just gonna be an au roughly inspired by pics of tzp on this night and this night but then it spiraled out of control jkhskdhkj (in a good way? I think?)

but it's heavily inspired by chess moves and I know practically nothing about chess but the research I've done is EXTENSIVE so I hope it pays off!

I can't spoil much of it because I'm (trying) to make it very mysterious and suspenseful if I can pull it off BUT this is also from hitman and here! have another snippet because I can't control myself ! :D

Henry isn’t sure which part of this conversation he’s most shocked at. The brazen physical touch, his ignorance of Henry’s title, the suggestive nicknames, or the fact that he’d so easily acknowledged something that Henry and the rest of them had been trained to firmly deny to the consequence of death. He blinks at the mysterious stranger, equally as curious as he is terrified at what might come out of his mouth next. 

“I- I should really continue speaking with the guests,” Henry forces out. 

“Duty calls,” Ander agrees, dragging his elbows up and off the table once more as he finishes the last of his champagne. A single drop lands at the corner of his lips, threatening to fall just before he catches it with his tongue. Henry rips his gaze away, finally snapping into motion. 

He clears his throat and runs a hand over the front of his pristine suit. Then, for some unfathomable reason, he offers his hand out for a second time, feeling painfully vulnerable as he waits for Ander to accept it. 

“It was a pleasure meeting you. Ander, was it?” 

A tilted smile pulls at his lips, and he slides his long fingers into Henry’s palm and squeezes. 

“You can call me Alex,” he says only loud enough for them both to hear, shaking firmly. “When we’re alone, at least.” 

Suddenly feeling parched, Henry licks his lips to wet them, dragging his eyes from Alex’s shoes up to his chest, then his mouth, then his fervid gaze. Something twists in his gut, but he’s unsure of if it’s trying to tell him to stay put or to get away as quickly as possible. 

“Are we going to be alone together, Alex?” 

Lips twitching once more, Alex’s gaze falls pointedly down to his lips and then back up, his fingers slipping from Henry’s grasp. “I guess you’ll find out, Your Highness.”
