My ideal date would be a movie night at home with lots of snacks and booze, but if we had to go out, a trip to the museum or the zoo would be amazing. I love games, and I usually have a puzzle book in my bag when I'm out. I'm introverted and have low self-esteem, so I usually have a tough time starting conversations. But if you talk to me about something I REALLY like, it's hard to get me to shut up.

And uuuuh, I like to sing and play the ukulele, I like to read fantasy novels and murder mysteries, and if I had all the money in the world, I would spend it all on Legos. I hope that's enough info!

You're barely even at the table before Oswald Cobblepot is rushing out of his seat to introduce himself, taking your hand and placing a kiss to the back before pulling out your chair and making sure you're tucked in comfortably at the table. It's a lot for a first impression, which worries him, until you explain that you're introverted, and prefer simpler dates indoors, or somewhere... fun.

"If you like fun, and you enjoy my company this evening, then I would be more than happy to accompany you to the Zoo or the Museum. I have connections with both. I can get us in to the areas the regular shmucks will never see."

He winks, then is suddenly aware that he might be coming on too strong. But his eyes light up again when you tell him that if tonight goes well, you'd be so happy to meet again for another date. He's punching the air under the table. Because for all that he looks like a fancy little gentleman on the outside, he's a complete dork inside.

Which is evident when you mention that you love fantasy novels and murder mysteries. The two of you have an instant back and forth going, discussing your favourite characters and plots, and which covers suited the series better and don't you just hate it when they use the TV adaptation on the cover of the book?

"You light up the room when you speak about something you love."

Each of his compliments over the evening have taken you by complete surprise. it's the way he delivers them. So matter-of-fact, but lilting. Deeply romantic, and a little bit old fashioned in the way he's trying to woo you, which is completely endearing.

He just seems to see the best in you, even though he's only just met you. But his adoration knows no bounds. When you mention your ukelele and your singing, he's quick to offer you a spot at his nightclub.

"An acoustic evening set, perhaps? Anything to see you sparkling under the spotlight."

Your brushing him off, but there's no point in pretending that Oswald hasn't charmed you into a giggling, blushing mess. There's definitely going to be a second date. And a third. And a fourth. And... quite a few more if he can keep this up.

Rating Deltarune ships! P1

💅Suselle💅: The original ship. I feel like Noelle might catch on to Susie's feelings but Susie would be oblivious af. It's good, I like it, but it's missing a special something. Maybe it's just because it hasn't had much time to really develop though, we are only on chapter two. 7/10

❄️Kriselle❄️: Probably my favourite. These two dorks are cute as hell. Now they would be painfully oblivious to each other's feelings. And the angst presented by Snow grave with this one is just ooooooooooo. I don't really want it to be canon though, I just want to consume endless content of it. It's the classic friends to lovers, it's great! Besides, Kris and Noelle's dynamic is one of my favourites. 9/10

💜Krusie💜: More dorks in love? Yes. They too would be torturously oblivious. The shenanigans presented is top notch chaos quality, and taking into account they may have a history!? (that thing with the apple implied it) the enemies to friends to lovers thing works. 8/10

✨Krusielle✨: Now this I want to be canon. It's actually likely as well. It's probably not going to be, though. It's the trifecta of obliviousity. It's a really good ship! It combines all the good parts of Krusie and Suselle and mixes it with Kriselle. 8/10

🎮Kerdly🎮: The gamer couple. I used to really like this ship, but went off it after a while. They would play video games all day and insult each other affectionately. They are adorable nerds. 6/10

🤷‍♂️Kralsei🤷‍♂️: I am far too scared that if Ralsei is connected to Asriel to ship this in confidence. I've read Kralsei fics and they were cute, but I can't take the risk. I was kinda just projecting on Kris anyway. Undetermined/10

Noelle x Berdly: no. 0/10

Susei? Sulsei? Ralsie?: Not a big fan. 2/10

Ralsei x Berdly: It could work. It's certainly not a bad ship… it's just not my cup of tea. 4/10

1. Matcha flavours!!

Especially in Milk tea, sweets and desserts! (Mainly because it’s not overly sweet when done well, and as someone who famously does not like sweets, it can be a blessing when I’m pressured* into getting a little treat while out with friends)

2. Villainess Otome Genre!

Look, okay, just hear me out. I know it’s an overused cliche now, but when I’d just broke into it there were very few that had comprehensible English translations, so I feel like I got the golden scoop. And I’m not as much of an avid reader of manga/manwha/manhua as I was a couple years ago, so I’m not bombarded with rip offs and trend jumpers all the time. That being said, my number 1 fave villainness manga is Hamefura! (My Next Life As A Villainness) (also!! New VN Coming for it on the switch?!? I’m so excited!!)

My beloved Bakarina is the golden standard of idiot MC dialed up to 100% and she IS my daughter.

3. Isekai genre!

Yet another overused cliche, but I’m not defending myself this time lmao. As almost every isekai fan knows, the medium is over flowing with shitty-lack-lustre-power-fantasy-harem-building but every once in a while (read: every once in a million years lmao) you’ll come across a read that is generally really interesting, whether it be through a new twist on the concept or just really great characters and world-building. A particular favourite of mine is Campfire Cooking. A more recent entry (though it might be a little old now? I don’t watch often.) but it’s basically just ‘salary man makes food for magical dog who happens to have the personality of a cat’ with a bit of monsters and worldbuilding sprinkled in. 100/10 highly reccomend (AroAce bonus: there is no romance or love interest 🥰)

Edit: campfire cooking was originally a light novel I believe, but I found it through the manga - which has an amazing and really unique artstyle that the anime COMPLETELY BUTCHERED (also I love my silly dragon dork Elrand(yes it’s ripped straight from ‘Elrond’(yes I thought it was very funny and a cute lil nod)))

4. Retro/Vintage Aesthetic!

This mainly applies to furniture and decoration, I’ve grown up with a lot of retro things around myself since my parents are a fair bit older than the norm for my generation, and there’s just something so cosy about it. You’ve probably heard me ramble about it at some point in our servers together but I’m planning on getting a lot of retro furniture for myself in the coming months. I’d love to own vintage clothes but the masc leaning pieces tend to be too restricting for my tastes, I prefer looser, more casual outfits.

5. Food!!!

Self explanatory. But just in case: as someone with very little emotional or sentimental connection to physical objects and an overwhelming lack of object permanence, pretty much the only thing that is guaranteed to consistently make me happy is good food. In particular I’m partial to Japanese and Korean dishes, but Malaysian food is pretty high up there too :3

Not the twin flames again 😭. I'm desperately trying to come up with more tasm requests but I can't seem to pick one. I'm remembering what a dork he was in the second movie. All of his lines make me laugh. "Small knives- my only weakness" *falls dramatically* and the shot where he's wearing a fire fighter helmet. Peak cinema. His interactions in No Way Home were so much funnier though. "I don't carry around an ID, defeats the whole secret identity thing."

I lowkey (high key) want to see Black Cat as a hacker. I like the concept and want to write it for Miles G but it could work in a number of different universes. I like girl boss villians but fun and more cheeky villians like Harley Quinn are more my style.

So just imagine hacking into the spider society and Miguel going insane for like a week because she keeps sending him memes. And for Miles G, pulling dumb crap on him while he's on a mission that he almost slips up.

I just can't imagine myself being suave enough to rizz up a spiderman. I'd rather mess with one.

1. It's hard to choose just five... I mean, just your works are going to take up all five spots and it still won't be enough 😂 Lately, I started downloading works I love so much I wouldn't want to lose if something happens. And there's 182 stories just in Glee fandom in my downloads. Also, yes, I do read other fandoms. Only Teen Wolf right now though.

So, I'm going to try and choose five favourite short stories (meaning less than 2000 words, because otherwise it's too much and I can't choose anything) from Glee that I reread the most.

2. I love any kind of weather as long as I'm not going outside. Otherwise, the perfect weather for me is around 22-25°C, sunny but not hot, and with a light wind. And when it's just after the rain, so the air still smells fresh, like earth and wet asphalt.

3. I love fantasy books, mystery and adventure. If it's all three in one - perfect!

4. I don't have any pets, but my sister and her boyfriend got themselves a cat, and now I'm a proud auntie 😌💜 I would like to have a cat myself, though.

5. Hmmm... Does my knitting count? When I go to my friends overnight, I usually don't take a lot of stuff, and this is the most unusual thing I take with me.

6. Anywhere! Everywhere around the world! Or, I wish I could say that, but I do realise that I'm more of a stay-at-home person. I want to see the world, but I hate going to any kind of new places by myself. Though, if we're talking about SAFE travel anywhere, then I would visit my grandma in Ukraine. I haven't seen her in person since the summer of 2021 and at this point I already lived in Poland for almost 4 years.

7. I love meat. Any kind of meat: beef, pork, chicken, rabbit, turkey, quail, duck etc. I almost perfected my meat cooking skills to 100% and now I can do pretty much anything: soups, stews, goulash, fried, grilled, baked, with vegetables or by itself, with different sauces.

One thing I can't stand though are any kind of cooked onions. If they're not fresh I can't eat them. Not steamed, or fried, or in any dish. No. Just no.

100% is in charge of the grill at BBQs and has an apron that looks like a tuxedo

he celebrates redundant anniversaries with too many gifts and far too much enthusiasm like the first time he saw you, the first time you spoke to him, the first time you spent the night, the first time you kissed, the first time you took a ride in his car etc.

i've named his kids i'm sorry he has two sons called lorenzo and walden and he calls them lolly and wally (for daddy oz i will be soft enough for kids)

he flirts with EVERYONE. wait staff, bartenders, the guy at the bank, his goons, your mother

you show him an old woman, he's got them swooning and calling him a precious young man while they pinch his cheeks, he is such a charmer

he has dogs. so many dogs. pomeranians and chihuahuas. and they're all named after pasta dishes. he cookes them steak every night and he'll be out on his lawn in the morning with like 10 leashes taking them all for a walk and they all sleep in the bed with him every night

he doesn't think he's particularly handsome but he knows he holds himself well and looks smart all the time

Alright, let's do this (in no particular order):

1. If Jane Was Here (Alternative Ending) - It Lives in the Woods

I finished writing If Jane Was Here (which is ILITW but by Noah's POV) back in 2018, but until this day, I am very proud of it. Naturally, there are some things that I would change (like the writing and add even more angst), but overall I am very proud of it: it's my first and (so far 🙃) only long series that I have ever finished 🙏😭 I consider it a personal victory. Writing is so fucking hard and it took over a year to finish it, but I did it. My favorite chapter of them all is the alternative ending that I wrote, where neither Noah or MC becomes the new Mr. Red. Or they both become it? Kinda? 👀 You'll have to read to understand.

2. Play My Game (Tom Sato x Julia Vance) - It Lives Beneath

This one was a joy to write! I used to love writing these two dorks and their bantering and teasing and I peaked in this fanfic. It's fun and light.

3. Uncool (Bryce Lahela x Rei Sato) - Open Heart

Rei Sato was the first MC that I actually put thought in her personality - not following the always confident, easygoing and extrovert canon personality all MCs have - and background. 99% of my fanfics are focused on her and her crush on a certain scalpel jockey, to the development of her crush into something deeper. But this one is entirely focused on Bryce's POV, when he tells Rei about his family. I love his interaction with Keiki and how - underneath his cocky smirk and confident attitude - he actually is freaking out because his little sister decided to live with him suddenly. And how flustered he is with cooking 😂 Apparently people also love it, because it's my most popular fanfic !

4. Lullaby (Tyril x Luxia) - Blades of Light and Shadow

I remember when I first played Blades and I knew I was going to romance the hell out of that blue elf, but when they make out in chapter 10, I missed a bit of closure happening first. And this is why this fanfic was written. It is sweet, with a bit of slow burn and fluffiness and Mal spoiling a perfect moment 😂

5. Bruises (Eli x Kiera) - Wake the Dead

And last but not least, I simply had to put a WtD fanfic. Eli is my new muse. WtD not only broke my author's block, but also is making me more productive than ever. I've never written so much! Both Eli and Kiera are special to me because they both struggle with opening up and have some communication problems. So, their relationship don't go as smooth as my other couples (well, try to survive the apocalypse first). It also feels special because they bond because of the loss of their families and shared mourning (and because I love angst lol). But, little by little, they're both opening up to each other.

Special mention: Sparring Session (Kenna x Dom) - The Crown & The Flame

I'm going to cheat and put one more. Why? Because this one is very special to me. Until this day, TC&TF is the series that I've replayed the most and I'd been structuring this fanfic for over 3 years before I finally wrote it down. I wanted to cover Kenna's and Dom's relationship throughout their lives, since they were kids, and give a bit of spin-off of what happened to them, but keeping alive their sparring session tradition (the whole series started with them sparring and ended with them doing the same, so I just knew I had to do the same) to the next generation. 🥲

Visiting. No question. It's intensely personal and the first thing I've written for myself in a long time, and I feel so protective of those dorks and the little world I've constructed around them. Silly, maybe, but they mean a lot to me.

3: Favourite Line/Scene You Wrote This Year

Ooof. I'm going to have more than one, I can't choose!! I really like this description of Visiting Ben from 'Christmas tree' from my December fic prompt series:

He looks so beautiful in the soft light from the tree and the fire: like pure comfort and love distilled in human form.

That's just him, as I imagine him in my head.

14: A Fic You Didn't Expect To Write

All of them?! I hadn't written for myself for many, many years until I found this community and then just... gave it a go again.

But picking one from the "I can't believe I'm writing about this" pile, because I have several: if you'd told me on New Year's Day 2023 that I would write several hundred words of smut about a character from a Merge Mansion ad, I'd have been very confused indeed.

Aaaaaah the much awaited chapter 41!! And 25k words!?!? It’s like I had a feast. The pining and the fluff and Javi being such a Texas boy who doesn’t know about international cuisines and the sweet little dates they go on together— this is all I wanted for them.

Love love love Javi asking for fashion advice so he can look good for Celina. He seems so much more relaxed not that he isn’t in Colombia and is in her vicinity. It’s good to see him hanging out with Steve and Connie and being Tío Javi even though it was just a lil scene.

I can’t believe he just took his shirt off for her. If the shirt wasn’t enough to keep her warm, I bet seeing him in an undershirt did the trick. If I saw him in just his undershirt and jeans, I would simply perish. She’s a stronger woman than I and deserves a hug and a gold medal for surviving him. And another hug for the health struggles she’s going through. It’s so hard cause she never wanted kids, but now she has someone she might want to do that with but may not be able to do anymore. And it’s hard when the choice is taken away for you even when you’ve made a decision about it earlier. I hope things get better for my favourite girl 💜

I really appreciate getting bits of the history of Puerto Rico. I didn’t know any of this because I’m not American (and I have a hunch a lot of Americans are blissfully unaware ). The way you describe their surroundings a they walk around together was so beautiful. It helped me picture a place I’ve never visited and really added to the warm and fuzzy feelings I had reading these two dorks going on their cute little dates. This will definitely be a chapter I will come back to over and over to get the warm and fuzzies 💜💜

You taking the time to praise the latest chapter just made it so worth while - dealing with the neurosis and proofreading! Not to mention wondering, "Is anyone really going to care?"

But I had to supersize the chapter after such a lag between the last update. Especially because it was the perfect excuse to set up PR life for both of them now, as well as give my take on the patented Narcos 'expositional history' flourish! I know A LOT of people know practically nothing about Puerto Rico, and while I won't be turning chapters into history courses, there will be infusions of events and historical context provided that will help advance things, or provide a perspective for the events and times to come in upcoming chapters.

And yes - I agree. Javi in a wifebeater is ridiculously sexy, and had she not been emotionally vulnerable, she probably would've pounced on him right then and there 😂

Thank you for saying so about being able to picture Old San Juan! Moving forward, every chapter moodboard is going to have clues for places or things that will pop up, and Chapter 41's has some real places, including El Morro~

C: What character do you identify with most?

Honestly I thought too much about this 😂 From characters like characters, I'd say maybe Wei Wuxian from Mo Dao Zu Shi? But also Oba Yozo from No Longer Human, especially in his childhood, but really I feel his inner struggles a little too much.

And characters like idols I write about... Probably Kanghyun or Wonwoo? The introverted dorks ♡

F: Share a snippet from one of your favourite dialogue scenes you've written and explain why you're proud of it.

...I'm terrible at writing dialogues :(( Tbh I think the dialogues are the worst part of my writing so I don't think there's any that I like because of how it's written 😅

But if I had to choose one, I'd pick this one from the university au fic I'm working on - but only because I wrote it while I was preparing for exams and actually knew a lot about this stuff lol:

J: "Didn't the guy literally say that he wanted to capture the image he saw when he was walking out of the metro?" he interrupts, "Maybe it's not that deep, ever thought about that?"

Y: "Well, Hannie, ever heard about Jacobson? He argued that poetics have barely anything to do with literature and that it may be regarded as an integral part of linguistics, so maybe you should use that pretty head of yours to try and help us get a new, fresh perspective instead of bullying us."

W: "Yeah, y/n's right. It'd be nice to see you actually do some work for once."

J: "It's lunch break, nerds. Get eating," he nods to your full, untouched plates, "Besides it's just two lines. Tell me when you have something more stimulating." 

W: "That’s kind of the point. It's called Imagism," he informs the older man, "look it up."

J: "Why would I, when I can just do this," he points his fork at you, "y/n, shoot! Tell me everything you know about this Imagism and I’ll give you my dessert."

Y: "What did you say about it being lunch break?"

H: How would you describe your style?

What it feels like to me: A repetitive mess with bad grammar and too much adverbs and adjectives 😂

What I'd like it to be: A cozy mess. The Raven vibes - something cozy but slightly unsettling at the same time
