I’ve been trying to imagine how each character from Naoki Urasawa's Monster would look like in live action form (I know I’m sad) and I’ve been focusing more on my absolute favourite character: GRIMMER💔 (oh Grimmer, why couldn’t you be real). Anyway there was this British actor that I saw in some movies. His name was John Steiner (1941 - 2022🙏🏻) and even though he had a really kind face he tended to get cast as the villain a lot🤷🏼‍♀️ Like Grimmer he was really tall and lean. As soon as I saw him I was like "OMG it’s Wolfgang Grimmer"!! Do you guys see it?

“Last night was a mistake.” 

The salty sea air didn’t feel normal on Ed’s skin. It was cold. Clammy. Almost uncomfortable. Ever since he had left Stede, things he usually enjoyed felt wrong and so different. Ed should have felt happy. Finally, he could be who he was. Wanted to be. Finally, the time of Blackbeard was over, the time of the bloodthirsty, cruel pirate people hated and people feared. 

But why did all of this feel so wrong all of a sudden? Not the fact he had given up on his life as a pirate, he couldn’t care less about that, but… Stede.

Every time he closed his eyes, he saw Stede’s smile. His beautiful eyes that had looked at him like he was the most precious thing in the world. Depending on the lightfall, Stede’s eyes looked a different color and Ed had been fascinated by that fact from the very moment they met. When a smile appeared on Stede’s face, his eyes lit up like stars on the night sky and Ed just hadn’t been able to not fall for this beautiful man. 

His warm skin. The touch of his hands. The sound of his laughter - Ed could have just drowned in it, taken it in. Everything that was Stede had filled his heart with happiness, yet here he was. 

“Last night was a mistake.”

The pain in Stede’s eyes had almost been palpable and it still made Ed’s skin feel too tight. It was like his heart and soul wanted to leave his body to go back and find Stede.

The thought of never seeing Stede again was like a stab to the gut. 

No. 

It was worse. 

Ed had been stabbed so often, but nothing had felt like this. Like a wound that would never heal, that would bleed for the rest of his life. A wound leaking blood, running down his chest, dripping into the cold seawater, contaminating everything Ed had known forever.

This is why I've always said that idols leaving a group, or a group disbanding or even one of them going to army...

As well as feeling sad, we should always be grateful too. They may have left the group to pursue other things or keep their health in check, or they may have disbanded because the company thinks they're not worth keeping around.... They leave but they're always there; doing solo work, updating their sns, through photos from friends...
