While I'm working on the video, I decided to take a little time with my icon and paint her - Stranger!

You'll never know her well enough to call her a friend, but you won't be so mad at Stranger that you'll call her your enemy either. She's just someone who appears in your life occasionally, only to disappear from it in an instant.

She may look intimidating or repulsive, but you would never say it to her face, for it is unseemly to say such things about strangers. You might see her face in your dreams, when you're wandering around in them or hiding from monsters. She is different for everyone - you have your own Stranger.

History of Hihi

My mascot has had two designs: Chibi Alien and Scientist.

The alien version was initially meant to be a companion back when I was SlapstickGags. But I never ended up making another Slapstick vid, so she went pretty much unused. It's cute but doesn't exactly reflect my art style.

So I redesigned her into a scientist. I like it a bit more with only a couple grips:

The red palette. Back then, hihi-HEART's primary color was red. I was just resistant to using such a "girly" color.

The hair. It was a cool idea, having the ends go into hearts. But if I were to ever use it for videos, hardly anyone would see them.

If I were to do a redesign, I'd give her a pinker palette, darker skin to reflect my own, and the hihi-ICON in some way.
