what they look like : although his personal style tends toward a darkness ( sometimes even a slight-grungy, purposely disheveled aesthetic? ) , I'd say he's still notably, in contrast, pretty. elegant, 'princely'. catlike, feline... definite pretty boy vibes asjajj. he's lanky; long legs, pianists' hands, thin spindly fingers that can't hide the delicate skeletal structure that lies beneath our skins. slender and sleek rather than broad. but he's very physically active, so muscular definition is apparent, though carried on a lightweight frame. some other notable, distinctive features is he has a prominent nose & prominent dark eyebrows, very defined cheekbones, and sharp canine teefies. he's naturally smirky, with a dry/sardonic expression, sharp observant cat-like eyes, and tends to radiate a sort of devil-may-care casual confidence, with an undertone of mischief .

what they smell like : the shampoo/conditioner & soaps he uses tend to be tea tree, yuzu scented, a little minty, and very-lightly-citrus scents: clean, bright, white... natural, but I feel, almost, medicinal?? but like in a 'traditional medicine' sort of way. there's usually a little bit of product in his hair, so there may be a hint of that modern, polished smell when leaning in close. and he has a habit of chewing cinnamon flavored gum when bored/nervous/etc/all-the-time so there is a undertone of cinnamon & spice from the gum chewed & kept in his pockets . when he wears cologne, he likes sort of fresh scents; things that hearken back to wind-blown laundry left outside on the line to dry; the ocean breeze; an open meadow ... but, he will wear stronger, darker scents with a hint of sharp SPICE in the fragrance notes, for special occasions... like a date night, or something else where you want to leave a strong IMPRESSION .

what they taste like : cinnamon, a little sweet & a little spicy. ( see above~ ^ )

what they sound like : rich and deep and warm, like pouring thick velvety honey. less smooth and more hoarse/raspy when he raises his voice (or is otherwise emotionally affected) . but most of the time, his voice is calm, relaxed... i use his rl faceclaim as his voiceclaim, but i also really love haru from fruit's baskets TONE as an example of how he speaks; very chill and unbothered. quite frank and deadpan, but not ( usually ) unfriendly & cold?? i wish there were more clips i could share to exemplify it !! if there was, i would maybe even consider using dub haru as his voiceclaim bc HE'S SO TAI-CODED IS2FUCJAS. but yeah. there are not many clips out there, so you just gotta watch furuba ok. JUST DO IT !!

what they feel like : sharp. angular. he feels at best like the cool touch of silk on your skin or the cool side of the pillow. the comfort of ice soothing your dry throat on a hot day. he's not soft to the touch and he can't be your heavy weighted blanket of a lover, either. he's not soft like flower petals; and he's not pure muscle and sinew that signifies strength. he's human, warm pumping blood and bone; a lot of bones; angles and edges that you adjust around in the bed in order to cuddle comfortably. an imperfect creature, but when he holds you tight against him, you feel loved so deeply, to the core, the way that only something flawed and empathetic in their flaws can feel.

firstly i describe the idea with text (it's easier to choose the compose)

compose depends on what you need to show

if its hard, I'm splitting the text into small sentences that will become future frames

when you compose frames, you need to remember about text panels where you about where to place it

so when i have text of idea, i do draft storyboard (like this) (this is for big thing, but you can do same with smaller things)

about compose

(sorry about russian and tv format but with comics its almost the same)

you can choose the most suitable option, based on what needs to be shown, what kind of atmosphere, what emotions, what actions

the first frame has a domestic and frivolous atmosphere of the second one evokes a sense of the seriousness of the situation-a conversation

also you can create frames of any shape how you wanna just for fun or for plot

i use something like this for fast strips

and dont forget about facial expressions and gestures

you can use references, you can remember how you behaved in any situations

something can be borrowed from other works - movies, comics, manga (manga in this sense is my favorite, I really like how emotions are shown there) also cartoons are a very good base, since most often there emotions are exaggerated (memes are also good)

also you can use some templates for compositions the analysis of paintings from museums or drawings from the Internet is suitable for training

also in comics, animation principles are often used for brighter movement (t is not necessary to study everything, I would highlight the preparation, stretching and compression, movement in arcs (this is what I use most often))

for me, the most important thing is that the actions are understandable from the viewer's side

if you have a mess in your head and there are more questions, ask, I will be glad to answer

Ok, I kinda get WHY he’d bring up James’s murder case in the first place. It’s like the “check and balance” thing where you counter them if they do something wrong or betray you. I get it. Eugene and James both have dirt on each other in case one betrays the other, but it sucks to think that Eugene has the upper-hand here because of his connections with the police. He can cover up ANY dirty thing that he does. Also, he can use his knowledge against James whenever he wants so James is just... stuck. Poor guy. hi! i hope it’s okay to ask this, but i’m trying to write alt text for pictures i include in my own posts and i’m not super sure how to. i’m just kinda worried i’ll fuck it up lol. i see u write image IDs often, so do u have any advice? thank u!!

Hi! I’m delighted you’re asking, I’m always glad to see more people regularly describe images on tumblr.

You don’t need to know every single detail about a post to give a good image ID, just the gist so people understand is fine. I describe a lot of images from TV shows where I don’t know the locations or characters, but usually the dialogue is the most important thing so I focus on what the point of the image is when transcribing.

Phrasing posts can usually feel awkward, I’ve started a lot of IDs like “A screenshot of people standing by a table talking, dialogue reading [something]” but it gets easier to phrase it over time.

One image ID is better than none, even if you’re not describing posts super often, looking through a post’s comments for an ID and reblogging that is really nice. If you want to reblog from a mutual who is reblogging a thread of a post without an ID or want to preserve another comment, you’re welcome to copy and paste other people’s ID’s.

If you’re putting a description in alt text, it doesn’t need an ID introduction, but if you’re putting it in the body of the post (generally preferred), having an ID introduction like ‘image description:’ is suggested, or the ID may look like a comment on the post instead of what the original image says.

I’ve made occasional mistakes when doing IDs, but my other image describing friends usually help me out and tell me when I make typos.

Since I’ve started writing image IDs I’ve tried to be on top of making sure I don’t post undescribed images on my original posts. I usually hold off on posting images to my own posts if I haven’t described them. I didn’t start describing posts until a year and a half ago so I have a lot of old original posts with undescribed images that I’ll find and add descriptions to if I feel they’re worth a reblog.

Asking the OP of a post for details about how to describe an image is also advised if you’re not sure. And it’s alright if you’re not able to get to every post, I know I haven’t.

There is a Google doc of image descriptions for popular meme templates floating somewhere around here, if I find it I’ll link it in a reblog.

I got this jacket from a friend's brother, because he was trying to get rid of it, so the specific jacket was just chance but I’ve been trying to shift my style to something that makes me happier for a while, so this was a good chance for that. (i’ve also begun stealing my uncle’s shirts that he leaves here, they’re so oversized and lovely - i have this plaid button down that’s SO comfy. wonderful now that it’s colder).

AS FOR YOUR QUESTIONS!!! lets take a dive (sorry it got long once again woops)

1: hooooo that is TOUGH. i always liked selkies and seals, so I'd def be a seal mermaid of sorts. ive seen the fandom depict stan as a shark merman, which i really like!! as for ford, hmmmm maybe a beluga whale?? im afraid i dont know much abt marine wildlife to give a better concrete answer ;;;; (ford wld def have a better idea than me, as marine life wld be one of his interests)

2: i feel like im the "mid ground" between the twins. like my personality can balance out with the other. im more sociable and outgoing when im with ford, but im more carefree and easygoing with stan. ford reminds me of the importance and value of knowledge. stan reminds me how to let loose and take a few risks.

because of that, it helps when ford and stan butt heads some times. i can sort of act as a "buffer" for them, helping them see the other's perspective. ford and stan are like red and blue, they can sometimes clash, but i can help make things become purple. (if that makes sense?? i mean like help them get along basically)

as for the town, certain citizens notice a little "something" between me and ford during our pining years. people outside of our circle just assume were dating, which leads to a lot of embarrassing explanations of how "no were not dating and no im not flushing red, you are, why is it so humid in here." the tension is obvious to almost everyone who can see (except for me and ford) and it INFURIATES them. but then once we DO start dating, it becomes major town gossip. people pay bets, hushed whispers float through the air, some people even come up to congratulate us as if we got married. but then things change when...

stan arrives. NOW. here it can diverge into diff pathways. but for this post im going to talk about how its affected in canon. portal happens blah blah blah, stan has to pretend to be ford. i eventually learn what happened, and stan and i have to play pretend. FAKE DATING ENSUES~~~~ and then some mutual pining because uh oh we really get along and maybe its because hes pretending to be ford but hes NOT ford, so who am i really crushing on here? stan himself or "stanford"? some angst ensues of course but dw, my s/i is very good at healthy communication so the angst is mostly on stans part....sorry bud. as if the whole "stolen identity" thing didnt have enough baggage already, i had to go and fall in love w the guy too ;;;;A;;;;

as for ways we spend time together, theres the occasional night out on the town, doing whatever the town has to offer! theres also hiking, just enjoying the nature together, monster free. but sometimes we just sit inside and watch tv, binge whatever we want. so many movie marathons......its really all just about being close and relaxing after the intensities of life (and weirdmaggedon) theres a layer of "were here. were safe. i got you."

3: my s/i is very much a dancer, because she's a huge musical chick!! singing and dancing, heck performing, since a very young age. stan def takes advantage of this cuz hes a dancer too, and we KILL IT on the dance floor. its electric, fun, and super meaningful on my part, as i LOVE a good dance partner. we also do the "silly kitchen dancing" much to fords annoyance. fords not big on dancing, claims he has two left feet. but uh oh whats this, theres a vinyl of slow dance songs on this record player and, woops, i accidentally placed the needle on the vinyl and oh noooo theres music playing and its just the two of us in this living room oh noooo.....looks like we gotta dance abt it smh

jokes aside, i can manage to coax him into a little slow dance when were alone in the house (and sometimes out in a secluded part of the forest). it becomes so chill to us that we just start talking about anything as we slow dance. theres laughter, flushed faces, gentle glances and its all just sweet. we hold each other so close we just end up hugging and moving in circles, not really dancing. its safe, comforting and warm.

I saw the 13k words in the very beginning I already knew to grab my laptop charger, have my meme templates folder open and hoooooly shit the entire chapter I- to be honest I started to keep track of how i felt the entire time by making the memes as I went which resulted in 25 i believe in total

hey cog-neato!! thank you for stopping by the askbox once more, i appreciate the ask! i have two answers for this, and i'll try and keep it short bc i sure as heck love rambling a lot!

for the first time drawing ever- i remember drawing a lot when i was 5, and it just stuck with me since then! i mostly drew humanoids and room layouts for fake video games, haha!

and i started getting into drawing as a more serious thing around 2018? i started to draw on a regular basis because i wanted to make art for my hyperfixations (and if you want to draw for the same reason, i support that endeavor! though i support people drawing in general haha, it's nice seeing ppl create!).

HONESTLY i could say a lot about drawing as it's a pretty core hobby (in the sense that i consider it a part of my identity) but i'll keep it to these two brief answers for now!! im super passionate abt it (drawing makes me want to affectionately bang my head into a wall, LOL), and i wish for everyone (including you!) to be able to find smthn that they're passionate abt.
