i’m SO glad found family is my brand because i can’t think of anything i’m into that doesn’t have huge found family energy. like, btvs, leverage, mfmm, fruits basket (haven’t been blogging about it here but it’s A Thing), DEFINITELY gay lawyers (i think very often about apollo and trucy....phoenix and maya....EDGEWORTH AND FRANZISKA, THE ORIGINAL TRAUMA SIBLINGS......)

Can’t believe another year has come to an end. My custom-made calendars this month are naturally dedicated to the festive Christmas holiday. The image to the left was originally posted on 25-Dec-2022, Miss Fisher Snippets 104 Compliments of the season – Fisher Christmas Card. To the right was part of my Miss Fisher Christmas Cards 2017 mini-series. Warmest season’s greetings from Mr. Butler to all.

My MFMM Calendars 2023 – September

To celebrate Dot’s and Hugh’s nuptial in September, one of my custom-made calendars always features the two lovebirds. The image to the left was a photo blending experiment originally posted on 19-Mar-2017 (#ToDotAndHugh, No 26). I later added a quote of Dot’s in S3E6 Death at the Grand, “Whatever Hugh does and whenever he comes back - even if he doesn't - my heart remains true to his.” and posted as #MissFisherSnippets (86) on 19-Oct-2022. Happy anniversary!

The image to the right was of Phryne and Jack from #MissFisherSnippets (89), posted on 29-Oct-2022 with quotes from the movie, Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears.

You know the drill. August is Mr. Nathan Page’s birth month, so one of my custom-made calendars is dedicated to Jack “Man of Honor” Robinson. This edit was originally posted on 25-Aug-2022, Miss Fisher Snippets 71, his birthday last year. To complement the handsome and honorable Inspector Robinson, I naturally chose our favorite lady detective for the other calendar. The edit was originally posted on 23-Apr-2022, Miss Fisher Snippets 40.

November 19 is International Men’s Day. To honor the wonderful male characters on the show, I dedicated a post to them 5 years ago on 19-Nov-2018 (image to the right). The calendar to the left was from Miss Fisher Snippets, 87, originally posted on 22-Oct-2022 with one of Phryne’s most memorable quotes, “I don’t allow myself to be lustfully compromised during my murder investigations”.

In honor of International Women’s Day, I always choose the theme of “power of the feminine” for my March calendars. The edit to the left, “Beside every good man is a good woman, and she must always be ready to step in front”, was originally posted on 16-Mar-2022, Miss Fisher Snippets 30, a quote from S2E4 Dead Weight. The one to the right was originally posted on 08-Mar-2018 with the caption: “Be strong, be smart, be bold, be brave, be adventurous, be passionate, be compassionate, be supportive, and be proud.” It remains one of my all-time favorite posts.

My MFMM Calendars 2023 – February

I always choose love as the theme for my February calendars because of Valentine’s Day. The calendar to the left was the scene from S2E6 Marked for Murder, also known as the footy episode. For the U.S. “football” fans – even though it means a different sport from the rest of the world – the Super Bowl usually falls in February (the 12th this year), so it feels appropriate to feature this edit, which was originally posted on 04-Jun-2022, No. 50 of my #MissFisherSnippets series.

The calendar to the right is dedicated to Tammy MacIntosh whose birthday is February 16. She made us fall in love with the sassy, smart, stylish, and witty Dr. Mac, the ultimate BFF. I created this edit a few years ago and had used it for posts several times with the most recent on 19-Nov-2022, No. 95 of my #MissFisherSnippets series as it’s one of my favorite edits.

December. The holiday season warrants festive images for my costume-made calendars. To the left is from Miss Fisher Snippets (14), originally posted on Christmas Day 2021. It received 408 Likes on Instagram, my personal best if I am not mistaken. People just love the sassiness of the two BFFs.

To the right is from a mini-series I ran, Miss Fisher Christmas Cards (2017). The loving couple, Dorothy and Hugh Collins, wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, originally posted on 14-Dec-2017.

My MFMM Calendars 2022 – August

There are two major MFMM events in August. One is Miss Fisher Con 2022, which I just attended in person. As always, it was so much fun hanging out with like-minded Adventuresses for a few days (August 4 -6), and I already look forward to next year!

The other is Nathan Page’s birthday (August 25). This year I chose one of his quotes about Phryne and Jack, “He’s the baritone notes in the jazz that the two create” to go with the Let’s Misbehave duet still. That’s why he is perfect for the role; he totally gets the character of Jack Robinson and the essence of his relationship with Phryne.
