Muppet The Lost World - My Ideas For An Adaptation
A muppet adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyale’s novel, The Lost World would be awesome to me as both a paleo fan and Muppet fan.

For that concept I’d say reuse elements from the cancelled ‘The Natural History Project’: https://muppet.fandom.com/wiki/The_Natural_History_Project, and possibly the classic show, Dinosaurs. Extra points if they were to 1) use dinosaurs that were actually native to South America in the late Cretaceous period as the ones that make an appearance in the story. Maybe have a few less popular/well known ones thrown in? 2) it’d be great if they get real creative and colourful with the designs based on the new waves of paleo art, discoveries and mindset of the present. Heck, I wouldn’t be against a blend of a retro vibe to it, say, the 80s - 2000’s? I mean, for example, take a loot at these.

The opening number has an eerie sort of vibe w/ a heavy mysterious aura. Sung by people and animals that live down at the bottom of the plateau/in the area. Telling of the strange noises and shapes they faintly see up there through the mist and fog. Going something like this:
“🎶 All those who go, up on that plateau; death is their fate as such ancient dangers await; a land unchanged and secrets untold from the time of old; great adventures unfurled in this mysterious Lost World. 🎶”.
Now for the casting, I say Miss Piggy as Professor Challenger. In the novel the man is brash, loud and a boxer type. That’s exactly who she is and easily fit into the role.... other than the detail of his great dislike of the press. Piggy is all for showing off. As a change to the story, maybe have it that her dislike of the press is because they printed an image on the news of herself when she had a bad hair day and has since resented them. Or that the laughter, doubt and disbelief of her recent South American expedition has left her extremely jilted and humiliated. Among the crowd are Statler and Waldorf who heckle her. Though deep down she craves for that attention again, but without a good amount of proof and witnesses to back up her claims it seems fruitless. As well as the reputation of her temperament scaring off potential joiners of her travels.
As for Kermit’s role, I’d cast him as Summerlee, a doubter and estranged colleague of Challenger. A rift formed and they split.
Other muppets on the trip would be Gonzo, an publisher/editor-in-chief of the Daily Gazette (re-named Gonzotte). He doesn’t like the stuffiness of the office so he goes to see Challenger to try and get a scoop on her recent expedition to South America, which is clouded with controversy as her claims are unbelievable. Another employee, Edward Malone (the only human for the journey) tags along seeking a dangerous assignment to impress the woman he loves, who wishes for a brave man. At the plateau, as a joke/gag for Gonzo is his sudden interest in one of the feathered dromeosaurs, say a Archaeopteryx or a Microraptor (or other). Be his equivalent to a man having the hots for a cave woman.
Sam Eagle is there as Lord John Roxton.
For their meal that gets stolen by the flying reptile, a pterosaur, it‘d be the same one they bring back to London at the end. Here they meet the little pterosaur when they make it up to the plateau recognizing them as the one that took their meal. They decide to stick around with the group and is later convinced to return to London with them. Promising of stardom and fame. Eventually though, she starts to get homesick and not really liking their cage, so the group, Summerlee, Gonzo and Edward and after some convincing, Challenger too, release her and she flies off. To return to her home, The Lost World.
As a nod to the first film adaptation in 1925, the bad guy is a large sauropod, Goliath. He is a bully to the other dinosaurs and prehistoric animals on the plateau, both herbivore and carnivore alike, because of his great size. It intimidating all the predators and makes them thinks twice about putting him on their menu list. Going as far as to claim that the lost world as his and his alone. He doesn’t like the intruders one bit and the guns they brought as it shifts the tides on his power and reign over everyone on the plateau. His demise is his own great size and mass as he falls to their death as the edge crumbles beneath his feet.
Now, this is about all I got on the matter for the time being. Feel free to critique this and what-not. I’m thinking that later on I’ll make some fan art to illustrate this idea of mine. Probably make changes too in later drafts. Later!

Dear shakshouka,
You’ve played a larger role in my life these past couple of months than my long term-relationship ex. You take such good care of me when you provide a warm meal each morning and keep my routine in check. 
I paid so little attention to you when we first met — in the Sahara Desert of Morocco at camp. It was a sunny morning and you were a tad overcooked, but I wrongly assumed you were difficult to prepare. When my parents had prepared pasta sauce in the past, it seemed like such a time-intensive task; stewed tomatoes were something I avoided when I needed a quick bite. I barely remembered your name until we crossed paths again in college.
You were a highlight in Boston made famous by your highlight on Tatte’s menu — I had even seen Tufts’ club events centered around you (Frisbee Shakshouka nights). But you came to my aid when I needed to prepare a Paleo meal for my anthropology class (Shakshouka is not paleo though, btw). After 20 minutes of figuring out an Instant Pot, I too had a pot of overcooked shakshuoka. Unfortunately, because your yolks were so dry they were chalky, I threw away all leftovers; however, this time I was determined to try again for you.

Easy No-Oven Shakshouka
Ingredients:
2 tbsp Olive Oil
½ of a white onion, diced
3 garlic cloves, minced
Cumin
Red Chili Powder
1 Bell pepper, chopped in ½ squares or left as slices*
1 can of diced tomatoes (SIZE)
Salt and pepper to taste
4-5 eggs**
What I eat mine with:
Sourdough bread
Mayonnaise
*Any color pepper except green! They just taste bad!
**Depends on your personal preference for egg to stew ratio
Method:
Heat a skillet over medium heat; after the air above the pan has warmed, add olive oil evenly around the pan. Wait until the oil is fragrant or the air above the pan is hot. 
You can also test the temperature by tossing a single onion piece into the oil and seeing if the oil sizzles/bubbles around it! 
Add onions to the pan and stir occasionally. Cook until softened — about three to five minutes. Add garlic and bell peppers and continue stirring until peppers are softened — about seven to ten minutes. Add cumin and red chili powder and incorporate till evenly coating the vegetables. Add diced tomatoes and stir. Put heat up to medium-high.
Let the sauce stew until tomatoes have heatened/softened — about 15-20 minutes. At this point, add salt and pepper to taste.
Create as many “pockets” as you have eggs by pressing the back of a spoon/spatula into the sauce. Crack each egg into these pockets, making sure to avoid including egg shells. Place a lid on top of the skillet and leave the shakshouka to cook the eggs; take the skillet off heat a minute after the tops of the eggs have turned white (or cook to your preference). Allow to cool before serving.
I eat my shakshouka with toasted sourdough bread (with a glob of mayonnaise on it). It can be pretty messy, so have a spoon or piece of dipping bread around to grab every last bite.

Thirty days of paleo has long gone out the window and because bowls seemed as problematic and useless as a middle-man today, I've poured the milk straight into the plastic liner of the cereal box and am eating out of it with a spoon. "You tell him." Christopher's forehead is furrowed with disapproval at my eating habits. "I can't." "Why not?" "Because once I worked it out I stalked his Facebook wall and some hot chick is visiting him from his home country and she said something about expecting to be carried off into the sunset as soon as she gets here and I can't compete with that and it would explain why I haven't heard from him and also why he never really committed to me and the level of jealousy I'm experiencing is akin to what I felt with the pink-haired bobble- head that Big Red has hooked up with. Also, I've forgotten how to use punctuation and can only string words together really fast and without pausing now." Chris takes the spoon from my hand and jams a big scoop into his own mouth. "The punctuation is a problem, the other woman we can work past. You need to breathe. Regularly." "How?" "Well, start by opening your mouth-" "I don't have time for your shit, Christopher! My eternal happiness is on the line because I was too stupid to see that I had fallen for the wrong guy. I need your guidance right now! This is as dire as it gets!"

It's overly enthusiastic research. And if she didn't want me to know that stuff it wouldn't be on the internet. Now I need to eat my nutrient-lacking cereal and devise a flawless plan to win his affections." "You could tell him. That way you could avoid carrying on like some evil, cartoon villain and you'll get an answer straight away." "What? No. That's not nearly clever enough. Anyone could do that." "That's the point." "I want something way less obvious so that I can trick him into telling me how he feels about me first. There is only so far I'm prepared to put my pride out there." "I think you mean ego." I thrust the spoon at him. "I can and will kill you with this spoon." "Tell him you want to have dinner, then at dinner come clean. He either says 'hey, me too!' or he says 'um, no thanks'. Either way you have your answer." "I don't like those options." "They're the only two you have." "Will you please buy more cereal? I'm trying to fill the emptiness inside me with carbohydrates." "For god's sake, woman. Man up and tell him!"

Franklin wore a hole in the rug. Unlike the rest of this hospital, this waiting room was empty, occasionally populated by Sam, Jack, Kenji, and Brooklynn. As he paced, Franklin picked at the tape holding gauze against the inside of his elbow. On his next loop, Franklin paused when a shadow appeared in the doorway. 
His heart stampeded until Zia stepped through the doorway and collapsed on the first chair she found. 
"Sure. Don't look so happy to see me," Zia complained. "Whoa. You okay?" She slapped his hand away from the tape. 
“Yeah. I’m fine.” 
“Did you… did you donate blood?” Her question came after scanning the waiting room. Franklin hadn’t cleaned up the snack wrappers and juice box the hospital gave him. 
“Uh…” 
“Wait. Have you been here the entire time?” 
Involuntarily, Franklin rubbed his eyes. He’d lost track of the hours and just let the nervous pacing take over a while ago. 
"Have you seen her yet?" Zia's smile was easy as she fell back into a chair again. 
“Li’s stable. But no. She hasn’t woken up yet.” 
Zia jerked his arm to her. “So, back to the bandage.” 
“Ow! I donated blood.”
“You two are a match?” Zia was gentler letting go than yanking him. 
“I’m O-.” 
The face Zia made reminded Franklin of when they'd visited Isla Nublar before it blew up. Seeing real, live dinosaurs for the first time as a paleo-veterinarian actually brought tears to Zia's eyes. 
“You really like her,” she said confidently. 
"Well… Yes. No. I don't know." Franklin fell back, pushing his glasses up to rub his eyes. "I mean, yeah, I do like her." 
Sitting back with him, Zia gave Franklin a tense smile. “No, this is different. I would know. You crushed hard-core on me for months, with that puppy-dog look, following me around. Franklin, this is different. You really like her. I mean, you donated blood for her! So, what’s with this? Li seems to like you too…” 
What was he scared of? 
That pit of anxiety welled in his chest again, making his heart beat erratically. “Why me?” 
“What?” 
"Why does she like me? She could have anyone. I mean, you saw how cool and collected she was. Honestly, she's so much like you and Owen. She deserves someone… I'm not…" 
Zia pinched his arm. "Well, good to know you have a type. Apparently, it's hot, ridiculously intelligent, strong women." She smiled again, then added, "You know, like me?" 
Franklin rolled his eyes. 
"Okay, listen. I saw you two. There's a spark. I already know how great you are, and I'm sorry I didn't feel that as well, but you and Li…? I know you're holding yourself back, too, because you blame yourself for a lot of things out there. Li doesn’t blame you. No one does. Just… go talk to her when she wakes up.” 
Franklin didn't say anything. A part of him, deep down, wondered… no…
"She's going to wake up," Zia added firmly. "Okay! What is this really about?" 
Franklin sucked his lips in. Over the last several months, he’d gotten really good at one thing. Beating himself up. 
Finally, he said, "This happened because of me. I'm not enough and keep..." 
"Oh, we're back on the self-pity train. Got it." Zia smacked Franklin's shoulder. "You ever think that if it weren't for dinosaurs, you'd never have met? I mean… you don't know your paths would have ever crossed again. So, buck the hell up. Get a freaking jello cup and have a damned hospital date with the hot woman who finds you ridiculously attractive. You know, before I ask her out."

my next hot idea for a paleo documentary: you follow like 3 days in the life of a Pectinodon/Acheroraptor just going about its business, hunting smaller animals whilst having to deal with the larger herbivores/oviraptorids (the largest herbivores generally don’t care abt it that much tho) as well as larger theropods like Dakoraptor (but generally ignored by the biggest ones like T-rex) it’d be a fun twist on the general formula is all im saying. big scary herbivores and other dinosaurs generally served from the hapless-prey trope and the biggest carnivore walking on land at the time just generally being oblivious.

Summer'21 Prep&Plan
I am using this summer as a chance to completely reset my life and glow up, and you should too <3
Here's what you need to do to have the best summer ever:
Phase 1 (Plan)
Figure out what you want out of this summer, get crystal clear on who you want to be by the end of the summer
Identify the goals to get you there, for every aspect of your life (school/ work/ health/ personal/ etc.)
Figure out what you need to do on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to get there
Establish a Flexible daily, weekly and monthly routine that you can stick to
Make sure your plan makes it impossible for you not to follow through
Draft a shopping list (this tip is easier to do at the end), it can be anything from straight white jeans to stationary to a lip scrub to AirPods, anything that will help you reach your goals

Phase 2 (Feel your best)
Health is wealth
How I live a healthy lifestyle - Part 1: Nutrition and Diet
Get into a calories deficit/ surplus if you want to lose/ gain weight (Do not count calories if they are a trigger!!)
Establish an exercise routine and stick to it (bonus tip: make sure it lines up with your hair washdays)
10,000 steps per day minimum, taking daily walks will help you reach your goals
Dance more
Eat healthier, you can go on a diet like the keto/ Mediterranean/ paleo diet or you can take a more intuitive approach and just improve your existing eating habits
Look into fasting and it's many benefits, you can do OMAD, intermittent fasting, alternate day fasting, 24 hour fasts, 72 hour fasts, etc. but start small if you are not used to it. You can even have a schedule (eg. one 72 hour fast per month)
Make sure you are getting all your vitamins and minerals
Water (2 liters per day), but you already knew that, didn't you?
Incorporate more fruits and vegetables into your diet
Stop snacking, unless you need to for health reasons
Quit sugar
Quit fizzy drinks (don't drink your calories)
Quit junk food (much healthier alternatives out there)

Skin
Do your research on different ingredients and products, you don't want to mess up your skin
Identify your specific sink type, needs and concerns (this is vital)
Figure out your AM and PM routine
Speaking of AM, wear your sunscreen!!
Get lip balm with SPF, my favourite is Palmer's dark chocolate and cherry
Try slugging (applying a thin layer of vaseline/ glycerin at the end of your PM routine)
De-puff your face in the morning, a Gua Sha is good for this or you could perform a facial massage with your hands
Ice your face in the morning, good for circulation and de-puffing
Use a facial oil, there are so many good ones out there, especially Argon and Rosehip oil
Do a weekly at-home facial
Apply a face mask AT LEAST once a week
Look into professional treatments if needed
Incorporate face yoga
Don't neglect your neck or chest
Establish an anti-ageing routine, prevention is better than treatment (will def have to make an in-depth post about this one)

Hair
Understanding your hair is a game changer!!
Identify your hair type, needs and concerns
Figure out how often you need to wash your hair and create a schedule
Establish a hair care routine for your washday
Establish a hair care routine for maintenance in between washdays
Treat any damage, Olaplex 3 is quite good
Oil your hair once a week or more, depending on your hair type and needs
Apply a hair mask/ a hot oil treatment as often as you can
Get henna treatments every 3 months or so
Look into dusting to maintain the health of your hair and keep up in between treatments
hair cuts, either a trim or to change up the look of your hair
Get any professional treatments if needed
The curly girl method is a good starting point if you have curly hair and don't know how to take care of it
Monthly rice water treatments
Apple cider vinegar rinse + a clarifying shampoo (no more than once a week) if you have hard water
A filter is quite good for hard water as well
Use a heat protectant, they work (if you get the right one)
Take care of your lashes and eyebrows, please.

Body care
Identify anything you want to change (stretch marks, cellulite, dark knees, etc.)
Figure out how to treat them
Establish a body care routine
Figure how to incorporate your treatments into your routine
Have a shower and after shower routine
Try to make sure all your body care is the same scent (either all vanilla or all peach or any other scent, Bath & Body Works is AMAZING for this)
Say it with me: SPF
Hand and foot creams are important, so are hand and foot masks
Use lip scrubs regularly
Weekly or bi-monthly at home or in salon manicures and pedicures
Look into dry brushing
Have a shaving/ waxing routine
Consider laser/ electrolysis/ IPL for permanent/ semi-permeant hair removal
Have a tanning routine if you want to
Use a body oil (bonus tip: make sure it shimmers for more fun)
Schedule weekly at home spa/ pamper days

Scent
I had to make this into it's own category just because it's that important.
How to smell good from head to toe, AKA my scent routine
Try to make sure all your body care is the same scent (either all vanilla or all peach or any other scent, Bath & Body Works is AMAZING for this)
Use a perfume oil on your pulse points, Musk and Oud scents from high quality middle Eastern brands are good for these
Have a scent for your clothing, preferably something light and a scent that can go well with most things, vanilla/ coconut/ musky/ florally body mists are good for this
Use a hair perfume, some hair moisturizing sprays have strong scents and can be used as a perfume, make sure it's low in alcohol
Have a signature scent
Rotate between scents every once in a while, this is good for scent association
Have different scents for different occasions, also good for scent association
Experiment with layering different perfumes
Invest in good quality perfumes

Teeth
Another important one
Brush your teeth 2x at least, preferably after very meal
Floss and use mouthwash
Go to a dentist regularly
Get professional cleaning and/ or whitening if you can
Get any other treatments you need
Whiten your teeth at home
Try oil pulling
Use a tongue scraper
Phase 3 (Mental Wellbeing)
This is quite personal to you but some suggestions:
Meditate
Script daily and practice LOA
Do Yoga daily even if for 5 minutes
Figure out what you need to work on
Identify any toxic traits you have
Identify where your bad habits/ traits come from and cut off the source
Identify anything stopping you from reaching your fullest potential and work on it
See a professional if needed
Essential oils can be helpful
Get enough sleep!!
Don't waste your time on meaningless things/ people/ situations/ etc.
Change your mindset/ attitude if you don't like it
Start each day by dancing, even if for 5 minutes
Affirmations
Schedule mental health days
A journal is great for venting and clearing your mind, as well as organizing your thoughts (it's insane what happens when you visually see your thoughts on paper)
Have a good work ethic and be disciplined
Go on regular dopamine detoxes
Reduce stress (easier said than done, but try to find your triggers and healthy coping mechanisms, research all there is to know and experiment until you have it under control)
Compliment other people, and accept compliments graciously
Enjoy the small things and romanticise your life
Phase 4 (Look your best)
Fashion
Re-evaluate your wardrobe
Upgrade your basics
Look into creating a capsule wardrobe
Figure out if you are more into timeless classic pieces or trends
With that being said, be careful with trends
Dress your age
Follow dress codes, please.
Always put in effort
Quality > Quantity
Jewellery can be phenomenal for changing an outfit
Speaking of jewellery, real stones/ crystals/ gold/ silver is best
Color coordinate your outfits, make sure they look cohesive
Wear appropriate shoes
Find style inspo
Handbags can elevate an outfit like no other (my favorite bag from my collection currently is the Bottega Veneta chain pouch in black, incredibly high quality)
Invest in good quality shape wear and undergarments
Wear cute Pajamas ( Upgrade your sleepwear. Trust me.)

If you can't travel then fill your day with fun activities (visiting museums, pilates classes, going to theaters, or exploring local towns/ cities
Make lots of plans with friends
Discover new music
Discover new shows/ movies
Quit social media, or take your instagram to the next level, whatever suits you most
Volunteer
Get a summer job
Follow only the podcasts, blogs, subreddits, accounts etc. that help you reach your goals
Keep up with the news and current world events
Learn the basics of politics, economics, history, geography and philosophy (good conversation topics that show you are educated, they are also genuinely interesting)

Calendar blocking is a great way to plan your day
Be busy but not too busy
Plan your meals in advance
Schedule any events
Reminders on your phone for important things
Misc.
Cancel any subscriptions you don't want
Keep a diary to recount the events of day
Keep a Bullet journal for lists and fun things to note
Take pictures (Bonus points if it's on an ever so slightly grainy camera)
Figure out how you plan to maintain any changes made and the up keep, whether it be with your weekly facials/ academia/ personal projects/ etc., you have to stick with it!
