(Part 1/5) Ok so I randomly thought of this after looking back chats from Zen and Seven's routes and having a girl with teal hair as my profile picture for literally no reason, but basically: AU where the MC is V's (like, 24 years of age internationally) younger sister (or sibling, doesn't matter), knew Rika, knew she was doing shit to V (but didn't know the full extent of everything (e.g. Rika's unstable mental state, Mint Eye) just suspected and kind of knew she was abusing V) and knew Jumin

(Part ⅖) (because of V). She wasn't involved with RFA much at all, but a thing I imagine is that she visited V and Rika sometimes and logged in to V's account without him knowing and chatted with the RFA a little bit sometimes. So they know her a little bit. Jumin mostly though because they have met IRL.

(Part ⅗) She also probably met Saeran like once or twice whilst visiting V (just imagine her calling Saeran cute and teasing him like an older sister kind of would because she would be older than him because internationally he's 23 in CS and DS so she would be like...what, 15-16ish? 17, maybe? I forget how old Saeran was when he was adopted by V and Rika T-T) so uh yeah Sae knows her a little bit.

(Part 4/5) How would this complicate things all over? Hell would the story of Mysme even happen because idk whether Unknown (or hell even Ray!) would choose her to be the person to go to the apartment (or in AS being the beta tester) because of her being V's sister.  Would Seven trust her in his route after discovering Rika's involvement with the RFA and V not trusting him? How would Yoosung react? Oh, the possibilities of drama seem endless XD

(Part 5/5) Also, kind of off topic but would Suit Saeran really care about her being older than him by a year (by what I put the age of this MC to be) at all? Or would it have to be a much more dramatic age gap for him to care? Or would he not care at all?  Also also off topic a little but what if this MC shared V's hair color and maybe eye color too? That means she probably would look like a female V! How would everyone react?

Saeran and Saeyoung made that deal on the cusp of their teenage years. So, think with fourteen and thirteen in mind, roughly. I think this depends on how much V is willing to let her in on things, to be honest with you. There’s a strong likelihood that he may lie to his sister about Saeran if they ever met, they did move to a remote house for a reason because... nobody could see him, you know? I know he’d clearly trust a sister but... he didn’t tell Jumin, and that man is his closest friend. 

So, even if the sister saw Saeran... there’s no telling the truth. Now, they have some suspicion about Rika for sure. But, that woman is really good at masking and hiding her ploys. So, given the fact that she’d be lied to for a bit about all of this, even knowing something may not make a difference. If it was AS then you would have to think about the fact that she knows who Rika is. She knows the RFA, you can’t lie about that. 

They would have to more to trick her and manipulate her to make her think otherwise. I think it could be done but it would take a lot more thought on the matter for me to figure that one out. Unless Rika was the one to trick the sister in the long run. 

Seven would... be wary? I mean, he wouldn’t blame V’s sister for being caught up in this mess and her brother lying to her. He wouldn’t say she lied to him since she was lied to as well. It may be a lot harder for him because he’s so upset and lost about V in his route and with someone related to him... you can imagine the weight of his pain. Does he hate or forgive? 

Yoosung is less tricky on his route because a sister could broker peace. 

I’ve answered in general about age before, and I really don’t think that’s something that would bother any of the members. Be it because they’re a smidge younger than them or a bit older, either way, if you’re the MC, they love you and care about you. Sure, there may be a gap in experience but Saeran is the first to say that he’s lacking because he never had a choice. 

And how do you think? It’s no different than those asks about if the MC looks a lot like Rika. It’s going to drudge up more problems after the secret is revealed or depending on Deep/Another Story, then either the loss of V or the loss of this comfort... well. I think Seven, Yoosung, Jumin, and Saeran are going to be the ones with the problem area for obvious reasons, you know? Remembering a best friend, a father figure, a strained family, so on and so forth.

Day 22: Serial Killer

“Close your eyes! Stop looking at me!” Saeran berated himself as those damned amethyst eyes watched him in terror. He should have left this one alone, but he’d become obsessed. Changed his pattern. Convinced himself that he was justified in taking him. But he clearly saw now that his infatuation with this one had nothing to do with his other proclivity.

Most people had secrets, and many of those secrets were evil. Evil enough to kill them for. It was easy to extricate them from his prey. Usually he already knew what that secret was, though there had been times when he’d gone with his intuition before verifying. His intuition was always right.

He didn’t listen to it in this instance. He’d grabbed the prey with considerable ease, but things had gone horribly wrong. He’d found nothing to justify killing him. In fact, Yoosung Kim’s history was pristine and kind of boring. Plus he wouldn’t stop looking at him with those damned eyes!

Saeran turned away from the man on the table. He’d tied him down and gagged him but couldn’t bring himself to cover his eyes. His chest was exposed, and it would be an easy thing to slide his thin blade through his ribcage and puncture his heart. There was a muffled sound coming from behind him and he turned towards the man. Those eyes penetrated him again. As if they could pierce through to his dark soul and shine a light on it. It made his skin crawl.

“I said stop looking at me!” he screamed in Yoosung’s face. The blonde closed his eyes, squeezing them tight, but only for a few seconds. He blinked rapidly and met Saeran’s gaze. Fear was what he expected, but that’s not what was reflected. Pity. Was that pity?

What he was trying to say was incoherrant through the cloth gag. With furrowed brows he slowly pulled down the gag. Yoosung licked his lips, never wavering in his focus.

“It’s OK.” He whispered. “Do it, please.” Saeran fell back as if slapped. He wanted to die? His eyes were sorrowful, pained, accepting of what was to come. That had never happened before. His victims always cried, wept, pleaded, promised to reform their evil ways. None had ever been ready to die, and had they been, Saeran would have gladly ushered them into that darkness. This was different. Yoosung was different. He didn’t deserve to die, he had never done anything wrong to anyone. The life he had lead for the past 21 years was free of any wrongdoing worse than perhaps arguing with his older sister.

“Why?” he moved closer, curious.

“It hurts to live.”

“Why?” he asked again more forcefully than before. Reaching out towards the dagger he took it in his grip so tight his knuckles turned white.

“I can’t live with this sadness anymore. I’ve thought about doing it myself, but I could never go through with it. Knowing what it would do to my family, to my friends. I don’t want them to feel any guilt for my decision.” He was calm, coherent.

“Why would they?” Saeran asked.

“Because they would blame themselves for not seeing how depressed I was. For not believing me when I questioned the information I was given.”

“You mean about your cousin?”

“How…how did you know about that?”

“I know a lot about you Yoosung Kim. I’ve been watching you.”

“Oh…well…yes…I don’t believe she killed herself like V said she did.”

“Ah, then that’s why you would prefer your death was at my hands? So that your friends and family will have nothing to question. Simply assume you were in the wrong place at the wrong time, am I right?”

Yoosung began to cry, unable to say anything, he simply nodded.

“I understand. But I’m afraid I can’t do that.” He set the dagger down and turned his back to the man.

“What? Why? Isn’t that why you kidnapped me? Do it! DO IT! YOU COWARD!”

Those words should have gotten a rise out of him, maybe even done what Yoosung wanted him to do without thinking. But he’d made up his mind. He could no more kill Yoosung than he could kill a cat. What to do then? He’d seen his face, he could go to the authorities. Would he though? There were things Saeran knew about him now that perhaps the blonde would not want known by anyone else. It was slim chance to hold on to, but it was a chance.

“No. You have too much life to live and you deserve to have it.”

Yoosung sobbed, knowing that his hope was finally dashed. Saeran untied him and helped him to sit up.

“I’m going to blindfold you and take you somewhere safe.” Yoosung nodded, uncaring what was about to happen. Saeran caressed his cheek, running his thumb across his bottom lip. “I will watch over you.” He whispered and kissed the side of his mouth.

So Here are the Spoilers -Volume III

AKA I have not been this mad at Cheritz for ages. Let’s deep dive.

Warning: this post contains spoilers and mentions of abuse and p*dophilia. 

Also Rika.

So much Rika...

I am mad, yo

Not even mad, I am furious.

As I usually do when I give my thoughts like this, here is what I wanted from V after end and Rika DLC

V moving on with his life and having a happy ending with MC

The RFA healing and also moving on

A focus on MC and V!! And their love???? You know?? The point of him having a route in the first place.

An exploration of Rika’s past and Mint Eye, to fill in all the blanks we have so far 

Rika facing justice and seeking redemption.

I’ll be honest.

If you want fluffy V and MC content, go ahead and play the existing ends. The after end is not really about V at all. It’s along the same lines as Secret Ends 02, where your LI isn’t really present and instead dealing with their own emotional turmoil and issues. 

And, you know. To an extent I would have been okay with this in V content. V is the leader of the RFA and it would be weird if the fall out from Rika wasn’t even addressed. My beef about this is that we don’t get a secret end 01 where MC and V are together, repairing problems together. We don’t see V at all for 98% of the story. We get more Rika content than V...which is a whole other issue I’ll get to in a bit. Hell...I’m pretty sure we get more VANDERWOOD than V. (Don’t get me wrong...I like Vanderwood, but wtf??) 

It’s honestly the same complaint I have for both Jumin’s after end and Valentine’s DLC, where he’s not even present for most of it and it feels like a waste of time and hourglasses. (And at 80 hourglasses per chapter, plus another 100 to unlock both endings, it doesn’t come cheap.)

V and MC’s ‘happy ending’ is an afterthought. V’s entire presence in the after end is an ‘oh by the way, remember V? The character whose after end you’re in I guess???’

Ugh.

Anyway.

It was good to see the RFA healing and moving on. I was so heartbroken by Jumin’s inability to cope with what was going on, even as he took extra care to make sure the rest of the RFA were fine. I loved Yoosung’s anger and conflict over this person he’d admired and respected for so long. I loved Seven’s complete breakdown over the potential loss of his brother.

I loved that they got reunited!

What I didn’t like?

The forcedness. 

The after end gives you two choices: Judge or Forgive. I hoped that they would be complimentary to one another, like in Seven’s Valentine DLC, where both were good ends, just different in tone.

Well, boy was I wrong!

From the beginning of the After End, you are pushed towards Forgiveness, with the MC being portrayed as completely unreasonable and borderline hysterical if they show even an ounce of resentment and anger towards Rika. If you go on to unlock the Judgement ending, Cheritz not only spits in your face but every single one of her victims.

There is a short VN sequence called Rika Circus, where you are mocked for essentially enjoying torture porn and wanting Rika to come to a cruel end and suffer a horrible fate. It’s the judgement ending, but you the player are judged instead. 

Just getting these screens made me feel physically sick:

I don’t know where to begin with this bs. Maybe with the preface that I am an abuse survivor and pushing the idea that victims have to forgive their abusers in any way shape or form and aren’t allowed to hold even a small amount of anger towards them is completely shameful? This ending literally borders on the same gaslighting logic that if a victim stands up to their abuser they are the shitty one and hyper aggressive. I wish I could explain how bad this ending was for my PTSD. 

Actually no. I will explain.

The most important lesson I got from my therapist was how okay it was to be angry, because it was an acknowledgement that I was a victim and my abuser was in the wrong. That I didn’t have to forgive her if I didn’t want to. That it was important for me to feel valid in my emotions.

Maybe what bothered me was the cognitive dissonance (and gaslighting) that an MC wanting Rika to face justice must 100% want her to die or live out the rest of her days being mistreated and even sexually assaulted? Like??? How about no?? Are there no jails in Mysme’s universe? No community service? We know from the Judgement end that she got a life sentence, so it’s not like the MC sentenced her to death.

Maybe it’s because the player is given very valid choices e.g. being suspicious of the cult leader who stabbed their boyfriend and tortured numerous people, but are framed along the same lines as the MC being like KILL HER *knife emoji*. 

Maybe it’s because this ending is the first time the player gets close to knowing Rika’s past and then is made to feel guilty about not knowing it?

I can’t help but feel like this after end undid absolutely all of the highlights of V’s route. V only mentions his love being an obsession in the judgement endings.

Actually, all of the RFA’s reactions in the judgement ending are the same as their reactions to finding out the truth about Rika in V’s route. Jumin wants her to have a life sentence despite his conflict about it. Yoosung is upset and mad. Zen wants nothing to do with her.

And this is the ‘bad’ ending.

The forgiveness ending is pretty Rika centric and incorporates V’s good end. The RFA is back to normal, V comes back fine. It’s strongly implied that he and Rika both spent time in Alaska together before coming to propose to MC. Rika, as far as we know, never faced punishment for her crimes, which is framed as a good thing.

Perhaps the most abhorrent part of the forgiveness ending is that it’s the only one where Rika comes forward and confesses the truth about the twins...which...  I’m not sure why C&R’s fate, the Chois being safe etc et al comes down to MC’s feelings about Rika. It’s a disservice to Rika more than anything, because it seems like she only comes clean because MC was nice to her and not because...you know.. it was the right thing to do.

And this brings me onto the treatment of Rika in the route and DLC and holy shit, it’s a ride.

No, Rika is not redeemed. 

Yes, she is woobified to hell and back and then twice more.

We learn that Rika was adopted by Yoosung’s relatives, who were cruel and devoted to the Catholic church. Later she was verbally abused and assaulted by a priest. She later decided to take power in the fact that people would be afraid of her and thought she was Satan etc.

I’ll be blunt.

Rika’s DLC is just an expensive retcon. It’s seven chapters at 60HG each just to be told that Rika had a sad past and all of her terrible actions came from being treated badly. She does not even get to be held accountable for Mint Eye, because Cheritz gave her a sister who actually was the one to tell her not to trust V or the RFA and poisoned her mind.

Rika does not, nor ever, get a proper redemption because even in her own DLC it’s never admitted that she was in the wrong...which is some bullshit logic because...well..it’s really jarring to have it constantly reinforced that Rika did nothing wrong and should not be judged because of her sad past at the hands of her foster mother with cult-like beliefs... because if we take from it the fact that Rika became essentially the same, by extension shouldn’t we then forgive her abusers because we don’t know their story either? Should we shrug off any notion that the priest should be imprisoned because judging people is bad and we just want him to be tortured and forgiveness is the way to go?

To summarise, the after end is bullshit, V isn’t even there for most of it, Rika gets no redemption arc and is treated like an uwu flower crown victim and it’s all very manipulative and rushed lmao. It’s a waste of hourglasses and time and literally undoes everything good that came before it

If the RFA would install the mysme app instead of MC

Yeah, great title I know. Just had this idea so here we go again.

Zen

He just wanted to download an app, but he accidentally got access to the mysme app.

Jaehee and  V recognize him right away, and he joins the RFA messenger.

He doesn't get along with Jumin at all, but he quickly warms up to Yoosung, MC and Jaehee.

He buys the skip chat option, so he doesn't have to read through Jumins chats.

Zen has MC’s calling card, but he also calls Yoosung sometimes when Zen feels like giving him advice.

He calls MC the most and they really get along.

Occasionally he calls Jaehee, but he gets usually called from her if she needs anything.

Declines all of Jumins Calls, would block him if he could.

Zen has a lot of Screenshots, mainly of cute thinks MC said, has a folder just for them.

Checks all of MC’s status messages and always hopes that they text him (he can't text first like we usually can't)

Yoosung

Joins after he finds out that it was something that Rika did (they were not close in this version)

He is mainly curious and the others welcome him.

He only really calls MC, but he can also text them (he bribed 707).

Jumin often calls V and MC sometimes Jaehee if he already is in the app.

Sakuramochi disliked seeing anyone with their spirits low. One would argue that any decent person, human or otherwise, disliked seeing people sad but the soft-hearted girl actually took those emotions to heart. She was soft, emotional- an empath, if you will; She could sense others emotions and take those feelings and work through them as though they were her own, and honestly, it could take its toll. Despite this, however, she devoted every bit of her energy on making others happy, making sure they’re hearts, minds, and souls were at peace- strangers around her and previous Master Attendants, her newest one being no exception.

“Master Attendant Yuu!” she called out, skipping her way across the yard, “Master Attendant!”

The young master had been sitting beneath a barren tree for hours, staring at an open book in her lap yet reading no pages. Sakuramochi had watched just as long, waiting for the right moment to approach; What had been going through her master’s head? Had her head been in the clouds- maybe she would tell her all about a story she had spent her time dreaming up, those certainly were her favourites. Or maybe she had darker thoughts on her mind- Sakuramochi did recognize her slumped, empty appearance all too well after all.

“Master Attendant!” she called a third time before gracefully sitting on her heels beside her company, “You’ve been sitting here a while... aren’t you getting chilly? There is a cold breeze travelling through. Look, it’s so chilly that the leaves had to go inside for some warm tea!”  

Her sweet giggle was swept with the wind and had fallen on deaf ears as Yuu took a few moments to turn and realize her loyal food soul had been sitting beside her.

“Oh,” she closed the book in her lap and turned slightly to address the pink-haired girl fully, “Sakuramochi, what are you doing here?”

“I asked if you were cold,” she shyly rubbed at one of her wrists, using the fluidity of her sleeves to hide the nervous action, “You haven’t read a single page. Was it a boring book? Or had your head been in the clouds?”

“Ah, more of the latter, I suppose.”

“Were they the good clouds? The light and fluffy ones- the ones where you’re able to breathe and think? Oh! Have you thought of another adventure story while you were up there?” Sakuramochi leaned towards her in anticipation, keeping her excitement contained with her soft voice, “I’d love to hear it- your stories are my favourites!”

“Unfortunately, a story wasn’t on my mind this time,” Yuu gave her a soft smile, “Maybe I’ll have one for you next time.”

“Master Attendant Yuu, it seems like you may have some worries. Can you tell me about them?” Sakuramochi flinched at how sudden her master had sat up and immediately averted her eyes to the hem of her dress, “I’m sorry for intruding, I... It just seemed as though you held an abundance of sadness behind that smile. Your speech seems...”

“Stand-offish?” Yuu finished, allowing the sadness in her smile to seep through, “I know, I’m sorry. It’s just... I’ve just been thinking about my family, is all.”

Sakuramochi’s pink eyes grew wide and her master seemed far out of her reach in an instance. Family- that's a word that causes hurtful memories to spring back to life for the young food soul, the wounds from the past still stinging as her fingertips graze against her cheek in remembrance. The sounds of her first master screaming flooded her ears- the harsh words, the scratchy sound that came from their screams, the warmth of their hand as it glided against her skin. She became so lost in her memories that she had forgotten where and when she was, and she certainly had forgotten how different her current master attendant was in comparison.

“Sakuramochi?” Yuu’s voice echoed within her mind, “Sakuramochi, are you alright?”  

“Hmm?” she hummed and gave a gentle smile before lowering her hand back down to her lap, “I’m alright. Please, go on. I’d love to listen and make your troubles disappear.”

Yuu took a moment to study her company’s expression, taking note of the sadness, hurt, and fear that flashed in front of her eyes and hid behind the comfort of her smile. It was hurtful, knowing that such a bright, calming presence could have hidden such darkness beneath- it hurt more that she was always willing to hear others troubles instead of ever addressing her own, but it called to who she truly was and it certainly was someone with a gentle heart.

The corners of her mouth tugged upwards slightly, before turning her eyes up to the skies above. It was overcast, dark clouds scattered about as they intermingled with the lesser grey ones- they seemed too close, too smothering- they paired well with the changing of the seasons, but sat unsettling to those swept up in it. This weather further reminded her of her family, and took the opportunity to let down her walls and confide in the one person she grew to trust the most.

“...I was just thinking about my family. They’re troublesome, you know?” Yuu started, feeling such an intense gaze on her that she couldn’t pick which emotion was hitting her most, “You’ve seen how I live here alone. I... prefer to be alone. Not... alone- I enjoy yours and the other food soul’s presence, of course, but... alone in the sense that I’m away from my family. My siblings... I’m sure they’re normal siblings- I think? They’ve been through similar things but... deal with it differently, and see mine as abnormal, I suppose. But I... I didn’t think much about them.” She turned to Sakuramochi once again with a distant look in her eyes, “I thought about my parents, instead.”

“Your parents?” She tilted her head, “What about them? Are they as nice as you?”

“Ha,” Yuu genuinely started to laugh, the action caused a blush across Sakuramochi’s skin, “No, definitely not. That’s why the weather reminded me of them today.”

“Master Attendant Yuu... may I ask why you associate them with this weather?” Sakuramochi spoke slowly, as though she were walking on eggshells. “If you don’t wish to tell me, that’s alright, of course. I only want to help.”

“I don’t mind. This weather... dark, cold, solemn- that's what they come off as. They’re demanding and controlling like the clouds; The clouds dictate your every move after all, they tease you into thinking it’ll rain, therefore controlling your plans for the day- your outfit, your activities, even your mood. The winter... the winter is just a storage place for the items the spring has produced, and they’re only met with the harsh breeze and the emptiness that surrounds it. I love the rain; I hate feeling these clouds.”

“...I wish for clear skies, every day.”  

Sakuramochi’s attention turned to the sky, and Yuu’s stayed fixated on the gentle soul in front of her. Something within the space between the two of them felt warm, inviting- safe; Something else sparked between the two of them, something... special, foreign, something neither of them could explain with the use of words, but knew in their hearts that it felt right. Sakuramochi had a glaze over her eyes for a moment before a soft sigh passed her lips; The corners of her mouth curled up to an equally gentle smile to match the rest of her delicate features as her eyes fell closed.  

Yuu’s heartbeat felt sporadic and irrational at the sight- she was so caught up in watching the breeze brush pink hair away from an equally pink-dusted, cold skin and the faint scent of red bean paste circulating between them. She was so preoccupied by the sight in front of her, she hadn’t realized the soft, pink petals piling up on her shoulder; As one grazed her cheek, she looked to find several of the sweet-smelling petals gently floating down to the earth, some getting swept away by the wind.

“Cherry blossom petals? In winter?”

A soft brush of fingertips against her cheek turned her to meet mellow pink eyes.

“The cherry blossoms constantly tell me to thank you... I understand what you mean- my first Master Attendant was... grey, like the clouds. I loved them, but when they needed me the most I... didn’t live up to what they needed. I would provide these petals to try and make them smile- they're so fascinating and sweet. They make me happy- spring is one of the most beautiful times, isn’t it? I’d like to use my gentle friends to help brighten your day- and every day- if you’d allow me, Master Attendant.”

The air was no longer sweet due to the cherry blossoms, but of the unspoken bond between the two of them. Love was a strong word, and an emotion the two of them certainly hadn’t experienced, but the intimacy between them was so obvious and charming that they were blind to one another’s feelings. The oblivious duo had unconsciously leaned towards each other, Yuu leaning against Sakuramochi’s hand and turning to place a light, uncertain kiss to her palm. As they exchanged bashful glances, the blush across their faces grew darker than the petals around them before Sakuramochi begrudgingly dropped her hand to hold onto the now embarrassed master in front of her- a part of her said she should hold back to avoid driving the other away, but another part of her surprisingly told her how it felt right.

“Master Attendant Yuu? I’d like to be closer to you, so you may feel free to share your troubles with me- I want to be the one to bring the smile back to your face in times like these,” she started, running her thumb across Yuu’s skin, “Um... Perhaps we should change the way we address one another? I’d very much like to call you just Yuu. It feels more... intimate. ”

“Alright, you can call me ‘Just Yuu’.”

“That isn’t what I meant!” Sakuramochi cried, embarrassment creeping up across her skin; Her outburst caused her MA to laugh- it was such a sweet sound, she would never get used to the way it made her heart flutter.

“I know, I was joking. I think we should change it, too.” Yuu’s eyes slowly closed, a small smile gracing the features Sakuramochi had already found absolutely heavenly, “I’d be honoured if you’d call me Yuu, my mochi.”

“Nothing is too good for our baby girl.” Jumin snaked his arm around his wife’s waist. He was happy to see the joy in his daughter’s eyes. And what good was money if you couldn’t spend it on those you loved?

“Jumin, she’s only 5!” he laughed and held her close, kissing her temple.

“Listen.” Jumin turned his wife to look at him. “This is our life. And I know that I go overboard. But it’s because I love you and Jee…”

“Yes, and even my precious Elizabeth. Is that so wrong?” he pouted; his eyebrows furrowed over his grey eyes. Lillie sighed and shook her head and Jumin knew he had won once more. He turned back to his daughter, holding his wife close. The yard behind their home was covered by the carnival he had paid for, children running around enjoying the amenities. It had cost plenty, but it was hardly anything that his bank account would notice. He could point out that they had not bought their daughter an actual birthday present and counted the party as the present.

“Momma…look…giraffe!” Jee held up the pink giraffe balloon and Lillie picked her up. The clown moved on to other children. Jee’s favorite color was pink and she was dressed head to toe in it. Even Elizabeth wore a pink collar in honor of her sister’s birthday. Although she had been scarce since the first of the children had arrived. Jumin had invited Jee’s entire elementary school and it appeared as if most of them had come.

Parents wandered around as if in a daze. Lillie had insisted on sending their daughter to public school for at least her elementary school years so that she could meet children of every economic status. Jumin had balked at first but acquiesced to his wife’s desire. He found it difficult to say no to the woman he fell in love with. He had to admit, it had been a good decision. Perhaps he could have benefited from that same thing as a youngster. V thought it was an amazing idea and had also urged Jumin to give into it.

“Jee!” Ki, Saeyoung and MC’s son ran towards them waving a bubble wand. “Come play!” Jee giggled in her mother’s arm, she was quite fond of the red-headed family in its entirety. She wiggled to get free and Lillie let her down. She ran off with the boy, Saeyoung and MC behind them.

“Don’t worry, we’ll make sure to keep her out of trouble!” Saeyoung joked. Jumin took hold of Lillie’s hand as they both chuckled.

“Alone at last, wanna’ go make out in the hall of mirrors?” Lillie laughed, sliding her arms around her husband’s shoulders.

“They haven’t finished putting that up yet.” Jumin chided, pecking his wife’s lips chastely. He knew that drove her crazy, especially when she was in a romantic mood, which she would crassly call ‘horny’.

She rolled her eyes but said nothing about the less than satisfying kiss. “Precisely! We’ll be the only ones in there.” She grinned and taking hold of his hand, led him to the incomplete attraction. He looked over his shoulder, making sure his child was being watched and then willingly followed his adventurous wife.

They climbed the stairs and entered the hall. He had to admit, he didn’t hate having a 360-degree view of his wife. They made their way further inside until they were completely lost. Feeling around her, Lillie finally fell against one of the mirrors and pulled Jumin towards her. Their lips met, their tongues finding those familiar spaces that sparked the most electricity between them. They pulled apart after several minutes of passionate kissing and heavy petting, Lillie’s leg up and around Jumin’s thigh, her red dress pushing over her ass and around her waist. Jumin’s hand gripped her ass and squeezed.

“You know, Jee is five now. I think it’s time to start thinking about number two.” Lillie sighed into his mouth. He was becoming heady under their teenaged antics. His head buzzed with desire and his vision became cloudy with it. Something caught his eye and his gaze followed the movement. It was dark and indistinct. He blinked rapidly wondering if it had been his imagination.

“Jumin? What’s wrong?” Lillie let her leg fall as she took in her husband’s face. Any thoughts of coital bliss erased.

“I…I’m not sure. I think someone else is in here.” Movement rushed through the mirrors once again and he turned, pinning Lillie behind him. He told himself it was nothing and even if it was, there was no reason to react with fear. But it wouldn’t let go of him. The hair on the back of his neck stood on end and every fiber of his being was screaming at him to run.

“Jumin…I’m scared, let’s get out of here.” Lillie pleaded, clutching at him from behind. He simply nodded, aware that it wasn’t just his instincts that were on high alert, but hers as well. A fetid stench swarmed around them and Lillie screamed. Jumin took her hand and tried to lead them out of the reflective nightmare.

He bumped into himself several times, that dark streak appearing and disappearing randomly as if chasing them. His heart raced as he tried to get a clear glimpse at what was stalking them. There was no form, no substance to it, almost as if it was simply smoke. If this was part of the design, he was going to have some harsh words with the owner. This was supposed to be a carnival for small children and fear should never be part of that.

“Jumin.” Lillie pleaded.

“It’s fine, we’re fine.” But he didn’t feel fine. He felt trapped. Every turn was another dead end and he feared they would never make their way out. He contemplated breaking the mirrors, but he didn’t want to jeopardize his wife, cutting her with broken shards. Something slammed against one of the mirrors they stood in front of. This time they both screamed in surprise. Suddenly all around them there was pounding on the other side of the mirrors. They vibrated with the force of it. He pulled Lillie close to him, covering her head as the mirrors exploded, showering them with shards. He felt the sting as they landed on his face and hands. Lillie screamed in terror, assaulting his ears and fueling his fury.

As the last of the shards fell to the floor, a deafening silence descended upon them. When he finally opened his eyes, the dark smoke hovered in front of him. He gasped, his grey eyes opening wide with fright, the smoke shoved itself into his mouth, nostrils and crawled into his eyes. He coughed and blinked, trying to dislodge the unwelcome substance to no avail.

Lillie pushed away from him, her dark brown hair in disarray, her chocolate brown eyes glistening. She reached out to her husband who was now bent over, retching. “Jumin…?” when he looked up, she shrieked.

You’re english is actually very good! :) Thank you so much for your support! This was actually a very fun, interesting prompt. As you might notice, I kinda switched between mythologies and kinds of mermaids between characters, so hopefully that makes things interesting! Enjoy!

MC decided to show him in the bathtub in her apartment

His jaw dropped

The only thing that came out of his mouth was, “You look like a mermaid from LOLOL!”

MC laughed as he blushed, and explained that her mermaid cousin had actually designed a lot of mythical creatures for various fantasy based games, and she knows her cousin designed the mermaids for LOLOL

She’s got scales her and there, imbedded in her cheeks and shoulders, and Yoosung just can’t stop staring because she’s so sparkly and pretty

Before he can help it, he says, “If anything happens, at least I’m a vet.”

MC laughs and pulls him into the tub for that comment

He has so many questions for later, but holds them back in this moment to just let this whole situation sink in

Jaehee

For some reason, MC insisted they go to the beach

No real explanation

MC would only say that there was something she wanted to show Jaehee

It was a warm and sunny day, there were plenty of people, but MC dragged her to this perfect little hideaway beach where no one else could see them swim

MC dragged Jaehee in once they’d set up camp and they swam and played and eventually MC coaxed Jaehee down into the water so that she could see her bottom half clearly

Jaehee was so startled she had to go up for air

MC shyly peaked her head up in the water and Jaehee could see how nervous she was and calmed down

They go up to the beach, but sit so that the ocean comes up to the hips

They talk, Jaehee feels MC’s tail and asks questions about mermaids, a kind of child-like curiosity in wanting to know about her people

MC was just relieved Jaehee was so accepting of her and still wanted to be with her

Zen

It was always interesting to him that MC knew so very little about popular media and some common social norms

She had a phone, of course, but she’d seemed surprised when he turned on the TV one day, and half the time, electronics seemed to confuse her

Of course, it was adorable watching her flounder and ask for his help

she also seemed to eat a lot of fish

Then, one day, a woman showed up while they were on a date

She and MC went off privately a little and fought about something, the other woman trying to force something into MC’s hands

When MC came back, she told Zen there was something they really needed to talk about

He almost didn’t believe her when she explained that she was a mermaid, but she had purposely transformed for him, and he was… well, he was in awe

MC also awkwardly explained that she… well, she made a deal with a Sea Witch, her sisters are scared she’ll never return to the ocean and die, like fable of the Little Mermaid

MC won’t as long as she pays the Sea Witch off or… uses the blood of the man she loves to null the contract all together

MC assures him that paying the Sea Witch is already taken care of, so he doesn’t need to worry about that

Zen still worries that her sisters will come try to kill him, but MC assures him that they know better than to try

Jumin

When MC told him, he thought she was joking

Seriously, if she was a mermaid, how did she have legs now?

Well, MC explains that mermaids can leave the sea for long durations of time, but eventually have to return for a year (or five) in order to live

Thank goodness for modern amenities, however, as she is able to mix up a makeshift saltwater bath, dip in, and prove it

Jumin’s face suddenly darkens and asks if she has any skins that she needs to wear to transform or if she has a mermaid husband, but MC quickly tells him he’s thinking of selkie and he has nothing to worry about

MC is very impressed with his knowledge of mythology

Then again, he reads a lot of… let’s say, interesting, books

She assures him that, because she can mix up a salt water bath whenever she needs, she can and will stay with him

That’s all he needs to hear

He sets up a few precautions to protect MC, intends to keep her secret secret, and does some research

Jumin discovers online that mermaids like shiny things, so he buys MC a ton of shiny things and she goes nuts for it, which makes him happy

Saeyoung

“I always thought there was something fishy about you!”

Omfg, Saeyoung, not now. Get that stupid grin off your face.

Btw, he walked in on her in the tub with her tail hanging out the side

On the surface he takes the whole thing surprisingly well, cracking jokes, asking questions

“How long have you been a mermaid? Can you breathe underwater? Do you have a pod or a pet dolphin? How deep underwater can you go?”

On the inside, he’s planning/panicking

How is he going to hide her secret and protect her? Because he certainly didn’t know mermaids existed until now

MC is honestly surprised by his apparent enthusiasm

They end up having a long, semi-serious conversation about her being a mermaid, how they can hide it, and who they should and shouldn’t tell

Then they talk mermaid stuff, like how she never gets pruney, she doesn’t need air because she has gils, and what prompted her to leave the sea in the first place

V

Honestly, the moment V heard that MC was a mermaid, he didn’t believe it until she showed him by dragging him to a secluded beach

And the moment he saw her, he just wanted to take her picture

So he did, catching a gorgeous shot of her tail catching the light just right and the ocean as a backdrop

That was the only picture V took, he made one print of it, and hid the film

The only people who would ever see the picture were himself and MC

The picture was too beautiful to destroy, and V itched to take more, but never would to protect her secret 

MC is honestly surprised at how well he handled everything

V really likes the sound of her singing, but she has a bad habit of singing sea shanties, so he can’t help but laugh at the stereotypical mermaid things she does

Saeran

When he found out, Saeran was so scared she was going to leave him to return to the sea

MC assured him she wasn’t going anywhere, but he was still scared to bits

Besides, MC was a freshwater mermaid and grew by a river and a lake

Saeran ends up having Saeyoung help him build a bunch of water proof electronic devices (including a phone and a smart watch with a tracker inside) for MC so that he can still keep track of her if she goes underwater

As… invasive as it is, the devises also notify her when someone is checking her location

MC ends up showing the devises off to her mermaid friends, who then wish to use valuables they’ve gathered from accidents and wrecks to pay for phones for themselves

She also takes a ton of underwater photos for Saeran so that he can see what she sees

Once they’re living together in a place near a river, he’s so much more at ease

MysMe prompt RFA + V & Saeran. The wedding of MC and random LI, meeting MCs friend who is super cute. (So RFA+V&Saeran meeting an OC at a wedding) Love you!

Yoosung- it’s MCs younger sister.- she’s a little comic book nerd- glasses- MC pulled the same prank Seven did re: chocolate milk on Yoosung, but on her.- He and she spend the night gossiping about the pranks MC pulled on her and Seven has pulled on him. - She mentions how MC told her that Yoosung plays LOLOL too. - So she created an account.- OMG that’s you who’s the loot thief!- They swap numbers at the end of the night.- Over the next month they troll each other through LOLOL, stealing each others kills.- They go for coffee and a movie and it progresses from there.

Jaehee- MCs best friend from college.- She was bridesmaid with MCs sister.- They’re sitting at the bar, ordering wine.- “I hate my boss. I do three times the work of everyone else and get nothing to show for it.”- They bond over it.- “So what do you do?”- She’s a sous chef at Fancy Cake shop. - OMG, I love the pistachio eclairs there.- “I wake up at 5am every day to make those, at least someone appreciates them.”- Jaehee pops into Fancy Cake every time she can to order coffee and these pistachio eclairs. - She catches her one time and they swap numbers after reminiscing about the wedding.- Jaehee tells her one day “I want to quit my job, open up a coffee shop.”- She says that should Jaehee do it, she’d gladly leave her job and make cakes for her.- A few months later, she texts Jaehee. - “Were you just daydreaming about that coffee shop?”- “No. Why?”- “My uncle died. Don’t be sad, he wasn’t that great. But he did leave me some money. Lets do it!”- They open a coffee shop together, little almond croissants, pistachio eclairs, blueberry muffins. - Jaehee is so excited, it’s hard work.- One night, cleaning up, she says “I think this is the best wedding I ever went to.”- Jaehee laughs, knowing exactly how good it was that they met. “How would you make it better?”- “I’d tell this cute girl I met there how I feel.”

Zen- He popped outside for a cigarette, it was very noisy and they were playing a trashy song that was all lovey-dovey. It made him angsty over not having someone to love!- Oh, hey, you were the singer from the reception right?- She blushes. “I’m not supposed to be smoking. Bad for the voice.”- You were better than this crap that’s on now.- She blushed again! Zen laughs softly.- “I need to get going. Do you have any gum? My bf will be pissed if he notices the smoke smell.”- “Just my luck. Fresh out. I’ll walk with you to the local shop to pick some up.” SAD ZEN!- They exchange numbers, Zen mentions that an understudy role in this play he’s doing keeps on dropping out. And she’s good at singing, audition for it!- They keep in contact, she gets the part but isn’t needed because the actress isn’t sick or injured. - “Zen… Can I come over?”- He’s all concerned, they meet at Fancy Cake and “My bf split with me. He found my cigarette stash. I should just quit and apologise to him.”- “Well he doesn’t really love you for you if that’s why he split.” Zen is lowkey cheering in his head.- Oh, did I tell you? I got the part in This Romantic Play!- Fast forward and Zen gets a late audition for this low-budget play, obviously landing the part of Male Love Interest.- They’re at rehearsals and “I thought you got the part?” - “I did. I got the part as Best Friend of Male Love Interest!”- After rehearsals he’s like “I got the part because I thought you’d be opposite me… Because you’re a great singer ofc!”- She kisses his cheek. “That’s very sweet of you.”

Seven - he’s canonically bi! :P- He’s MCs roommate from before RFA days.- While MC was locked in Rikas apartment and hadn’t text him (or come home) for three days he’s panicking.- So he was furiously trying to find her by using a remote tracking app that they both had on their phones. (HC - they’re worried about each other after MC once got mugged on the subway)- Ofc Seven intercepted that and told him not to worry. She’s fine.- They’d been spamming each other with memes ever since.- But this is the first time they’ve actually met.- He’s so tall, and is that a beard? Seven never imagined him with a beard. Let alone one that’s dyed green (it matches his hair though).- They chat pretty much all night long, nobody understands the constant memes.- They start drinking at one point. And Seven lowkey admits to his depression.- He wraps his arms around Seven and pulls up his sleeve, revealing a long row of silvery scars. Seven traces them.- That kind of tickles Seven.- Neither of them thought that depression could bring people together.- Rather than worrying about MC from then on (She did just get married), he worries about Seven.- Seven is round MCs old apartment, being cooked for and they joke about how he looks after Seven like a husband.- He jokes back that he’s not his husband yet.- Seven loves that. Yet.

Jumin- MC tasked Jumin with making sure her cousin doesn’t mess things up.- He’s expecting this demanding little brat.- But she’s not. She’s just very exact in what she likes. How is it a crime to like having your food cooked properly?- Or to spend a bit of time on the phone? (She was making sure her PA didn’t mess up in her absence)- MC never said her cousin owned the family business.- He assumed she worked for them. And it was MCs dad or grandfather, or uncle who owned it. (Which he realised is pretty sexist but it was only a thought, he didn’t say it out loud)- He finds her positively delightful, if he’s honest.- MC! Why didn’t you invite her to the RFA party?- “Oh MC thinks I’m too highly strung. I’d love to come to the next one!”- MC is really glad they get on so well. She gets annoyed at her cousin for the same reasons she gets annoyed at Jumin - for treating employees like crap and being little trust fund kids.- At the end of the night, she has to get to the airport, fly back home.- Of course Driver Kim can drive her and he’d be remiss not to accompany her.- That’s MC’s family name on the plane. How did he not know about this?- “She’s too embarrassed to use the family money. But if you’re earning it, why not use it?”- They keep in contact, Jumin does really well making business ties with her, he’s lowkey annoyed MC didn’t introduce her sooner or invite her to the party.- She has a dog! No! On her social media there’s this Chihuahua in her handbag!- When she flies in for a business meeting with him and his father, her Chihuahua and Elizabeth III get put in the same room! He’s super angry, how dare they. He’s going to find out who botched this up!- She’s angry too! If that cat has scratched her precious!- But they’re cuddled up together on a chair together. They laugh and go out for coffee. Jumin is relieved and admits that he thinks she’s very cute, and was worried about her dog.- She admits the same and her worry about Elizabeth III. She’s not generally a cat person but Elizabeth III is sweet.

And I tried writing V and Saeran but they weren’t too great. Sorry!
