i made this misfits and magic oc that was friends with evan (uhh cuz i think brennan mentioned that hed like bunk in summer camps in the middle of nowhere midwest)

so....this guy (julian. is his name. i think?) i made him like a year ago.. wayyyy before i learned about adamandi. or camp here and there...

but... hes basically a camp here and there oc so im makin it official

(he was also...how do i say this in a way that makes sense to anyone else...idk horse coded...specifically unicorn) i think he had a big phase of like. idk whats a popular unicorn book series. i imagine like warriors cats but horses (warriors does exist in chnt. so i guess it doesnt make sense? idk i feel like its plausible. my friend wrote warriors horse fanfic when i was a kid. and i feel like having big poky horns could have potential for immense gore)

Currently Reading: Now that the semester is winding down a bit I'm actually getting caught up (at last!!) with Chris @grayintogreen's fic you can't deny high noon and stopping and starting with R.F. Kuang's The Poppy War after a glowing recommendation from @winekita.

Last movie: I am not really a movie guy! But I'll say that my partner and I have been chugging through Dimension 20's The Unsleeping City and Neverafter over the past few days and it's been a delight.

Craving: In my Italian class last night we talked all about Italian cuisine, and we're also in the process of moving right now, so our fridge and pantry is being whittled down as far as we can afford. That's to say that all I want right now alternates between a proper pizza or toast made of top quality bread with jam and butter.

oh oneshots 1000%. well i mean like. i Enjoy multichaps conceptually but i have literally never finished one. sesdinikhil love languages doesnt count bc sav @grasslandgirl and i wrote that all in one sitting and then divided it into chapters later kdfgkgdfgk but yeah like i have so many ideas for longer wips i just have never gotten into a space where i could write them

SO FUNNY QUESTION bc again sav and i are like >20k deep in a fic thats essentially. What If Jamie Tartt Had A Younger Half Sister. That Could Fix Him Probably. also word on the wind (wizard101 fic. Deep Sigh) probably counts as an oc bc even though mae is like. The Protag The Young Wizard The Spellbinder Etc her name and personality and arc are inventions of my brain

PUBLISHED WORK: the long way to a small angry planet by becky chambers is a masterclass of worldbuilding and i want everyone on earth to read it. similarly i think dimension 20's the unsleeping city is the best urban fantasy world ever created and i think about it every time i write urban fantasy! alberto rios is my favorite poet and inspires me Daily like the smallest muscle in the human body is such a wonderful book specifically some extensions on the sovereignty of science which makes me cry so much god i wish i had his skill with language. and the adventure zone remains my favorite story of all time! douglas adams, terry pratchett, honorary rick riordan mention for making me want to write in the first place.

FICS: in terms of like general lifetime inspiration god i would give my kidney to write like these people: tell me about the big bang by nina varela, domesticverse by @gyzym which is utterly lifechanging and permanently affected how i think about love and romance, patron saint of lost causes by @themetaphorgirl because the way it weaves together so many complex beautiful stories is beyond inspiring, if you could let me inside your heart by @featherquillpen because it remains the most compelling group character study ive ever read in my whole life, i hate to look into those eyes and see an ounce of pain by @precalamity bc if i ever write a reclist without this shoot me im a pod person.

Thank you!! I’ve actually watched a ton of them!! I’ve had a dropout account since college humor first disbanded because I really wanted to support dimension 20! I even did crown of Candy fanart back in 2019 haha! I haven’t seen the fey court show or starstruck odyssey (yet) although I saw a lot of buzz about acofaf. I’m super predictable… so far my fave ever character has been Evan Kelmp lmao! But my favorite seasons are still the first season of Fantasy High and Unsleeping City!

And yeah! I’ve played a bunch of dnd campaigns (l loooove making characters!!) I’m currently in the middle of a dry spell, but I’m about to start a pirate-themed campaign in the new year. I’m playing a lunar sorcerer siren! The other couple dnd characters that I’ve really loved have been Compassion, a tiefling cleric who is Trying Her Best to Be Good and Alena, a human warlock who is actively being manipulated by her familiar (and patron!) Karsus. She’s… also trying her best to Be Good but she’s also in a sunk-cost fallacy with her patron and has an extremely skewed view of “the ends justify the means” lol

Vi the Drow Paladin (Fantasy High) – His patron is an ancient Tortle artist named Michelangelo, who he devoted himself to after he became enamoured with the art he saw in a museum. Because Fantasy High is all about high school tropes, I really wanted to make a quiet and sullen art kid type; a little sad, a little desperate, and has an inflated sense of ego because he drew classmate’s Naruto OCs in middle school

Theo the Aasimar Cleric (The Unsleeping City) – Theo works at the New York Public Library, and is the chosen of the 9 Greek muses. The muses seek to help him spread the joy and love of the arts, as he is not only devoted to protecting the library and the knowledge within, but carries the blessing of Apollo given to his family long ago. He’s a bit of a dork, and definitely interacts with the statues of the Unsleeping City more than the living people.

Arcelia the Turkish Delight Sorceress (A Crown of Candy) – Arcelia lives high in the powdered sugar mountains, protecting her crumbling home from the near-constant flurry outside as her family numbers begin to dwindle. She is now training her nieces and nephew in the arcane and in deception so that they may go forth and live a better life that she had. She’s definitely the cool grandma type, very devoted to her family and deeply ruthless towards outsiders.
